BREAKING: New York Jets SIGN Khalil Herbert | RB Depth + New Kick Return Man?

All right, guys. So, we have some breaking Jets news coming out now. And funny enough, I’m actually uh doing the editing for the Jets Cowboys preview video. I’m looking at it right here, but the Jets went out and signed running back Khalil Herbert. Now, a couple interesting points about Herbert, but unfortunately, we do have to address the Brillin Allen injury. It’s looking like IR. It’s looking like he’s going to be missing time. Obviously, dealing with the knee injury sucks. Point blank. It sucks. But I think what the Jets are getting here, Khalil Herbert is a really interesting option at the running back position. This is someone who has not only played and worked with Justin Fields before in the past, right? He was in that same draft class. If we think back coming out of Virginia Tech, Justin Fields first round pick, Khalil Herbert was a day three selection, but he was someone who actually made an impact pretty early on in his Bears career, right? What did he have in 2022? He had over 700 rushing yards if my memory serves me correctly. at one point like he was like a big uh like fantasy talking fantasy option. Khalil Herbert can play. He’s only 27 years old. And here’s another interesting fact. He’s returned kicks. Khalo Herbert has returned kicks. Now obviously the the the Jets special really the Jets return game both kick return and punt return has not been great. It’s literally lost us a game in week one against the Steelers thanks to the Xavier Gibson situation and against the Miami Dolphins. Uh I’m not going to say just as bad, but you had the whole fair cash within the 5 yardd line. You had the fumble coming out, you know, in the second half. Just horrible, horrible stuff. And it’s just so like you’re looking at this Jets team, it’s like, okay, through through through one month of the NFL season, four games, we’ve had so many issues in just the return game where you can argue it it’s been a major deciding factor. Like that just is inexcusable. It’s flatout inexcusable here. So, we’ll see what happens here with the with this new addition of Herbert. Again, only 27 years old. He’s not coming in at 33 or 34 or anything. So hopefully he still has some juice left in the uh in the tank here. So anyway, let me know your thoughts down below in the comments section. The New York Jets have signed running back Khalil Herbert to the active roster, while placing Bralon Allen to IR. Herbert has kick return experience, experience with Justin Fields and should receive a role within this Jets team. As always..Go Jets!
