It would make sense, but Im not gonna make excuses. They have triple the fucking payroll we do, they are on another level we can’t match.
Or we were just outmatched.
I think they were just better, guys.
I also heard from an anonymous source that they were banging trash cans
All the comments in that thread are something like “every pitcher is tipping pitches” my response is yes. There’s probably a ton of data on every pitcher and with ai able to analyze every pitch and pick up on patterns it sees with the pitcher when it throws a certain pitch. What would take lots of man hours to study is now automated by ai. The pitcher might not even realize he’s doing it. It could be glove angle before the pitch, where the ball is released, hand placement… I think it’s pretty naive to think the technology isn’t there to be able to pick up on patterns to help a team see how a pitcher is tipping pitches.
It’s not like outside heat is an easy HR, and he didn’t exactly kill it.
Yes they tipped their pitches when they took the field with Cincinnati across their chests. No respect, no fear, win two and move on. Respect can only be earned. Until this franchise does something to make this team a legit contender we’re going to see the same ol’ sh*t should we be lucky enough to get to the postseason.
Mentioned it in other thread, but probably not tipping in the sense of a tell or something from the pitcher. Things like that are rarer than we think. Plus you have guys on the Dodgers like Muncy and Freeman having 0fers for a game. Those are guys who arent doing thay if they’re were getting fed real pitch tipping onfo.
I do know someone who works in analytics for a major league team (not the Reds). The Dodgers do have their own elevated system from other teams, but based on what I know from them, what they were likely getting on the screen were tendencies and common pitch sequences. So they probably knew with certain pitchers, if they saw something in the first w pitches, there was a great chance of whay the third would be, etc. Or that if a certain pitcher is coming up and in, its probably x pitch. Stuff like thay.
we rolled out zack littell in an elimination game, we’re lucky we only lost by what we did
Those guys don’t just get hits, they can put the baseball where they want it. It’s hard to defend that, and it makes it easy to generate runs.
