Ja’Marr Chase Press Conference – October 2
Jamar, what is the key to keeping morale up when things are going wrong? Um, really that’s the biggest thing about adversity? You know what I’m saying? You got to face it, look at the eye in the eye, out of eye and attack it. Um, just like us on the field, we make mistakes. You know, we got to look at it on the film, correct it, and move on to the next play. What have you seen, and you’ve been around here now, your captain, what have you seen about that locker room, the way it’s built, uh, that leads you to believe that that can take place, that the right decisions, the right energy can come out on Sunday? Um, I mean, the energy is always there. Um, I want to say our DBs is our energy of the team, you know, they always making energy and being energetic. Um, but overall, I think I think it’s there, man. I think it’s just the want and the will to fight the whole game, you know, when we facing adversity. That’s that’s the biggest thing for us. How much confidence do you guys have in Jake still? Uh, we got confidence in Jake. Jake’s been here before. We all been here with him. Um, we know what it’s like. You know, unfortunately, we going through a bump in a road. You know what I’m saying? It’s going to happen. Um, but, you know, like I said, it’s adversity. You got to face it. U move on. What can you change from a play style? uh standpoint to get the ball out quicker uh if that pocket does collapse. Um pretty much more quick game. Um we didn’t really do so much of that last game. Um but quick game is the best answer for that. Get it to outside. Jamar, you had some uh comments on social media after there was a lot made of you and Zach’s interaction on the sideline. Given given a few days now to kind of take all that in, was that overblown by a lot of people? Everything I do is pretty much overblown. I feel like, you know, but uh it happens. You know, me that’s normal. I feel like for me and Zach, you know, that’s not my first time doing that. Um Zach lets me walk up to him and talk to him like he wants me to do that. Um sometime my emotions, you know, pick up and you know, it might look like I’m yelling, but I’m definitely just talking to him sometimes. But that’s normal for you. I mean, I think I think people see that and they assume most receivers in the NFL are going to say, “Give me the ball. I’m frustrated.” Yeah. You know, what’s that conversation like though? Um, it’s half of that at the end of the day. You got to remember we receivers are we can’t get the ball to ourselves. You know what I’m saying? So, that’s the hardest part about our job at the end of the day. So, um, if a receiver wants the ball, then that’s good. If he doesn’t want the ball, then that’s not so good. Does he like your defense? Yeah. Yeah, he definitely does. Yeah. Is that good to have? Is that good to have? No, it is good to have, especially when you just going through a tough game like that. And you know, Zach, Zach lets me talk to him. Listen, do you let him vent? He never vented to me yet. If he venting, now I hope I hope it’s good. Yeah. Does he ever shoot you and said, “Not now.” Is he always willing to listen? He’s always willing to listen. He don’t really push me off or nothing like that. Yeah. What does your role as a captain look like now? Is there do you feel like there’s more on you, especially with Joe out to kind of be more Yeah. Yeah, I took I stepped into more of a leader role now that Joe’s out. Um I feel like I had to um it’s a lot of accountability I got to take going forward. Um as a for the offense, the receiver room, um just the whole team in general, you know. Um those guys look up to me as one of the best in the league um from my work ethic and the way I handle things. So going forward, I got to be that guy. You talk to him. Do do you expect them to be on the sideline Sunday, Joe? Hell no. You need to get ready. Get Don’t come out there. They don’t need to see you, bro. They don’t need to see Joe face. Just get healthy. Come back later. He was He was around today. Did you guys have any conversations about just like his rehabing or anything like that or? No, I just said what’s up nine and went to my little cave and hid. So you don’t want to see you you would rather have not not see him Sunday work get back. Yeah. Yeah. The more time he’s sitting there watching us, the the more time he’s not working. You think he can help Jake though on the field? Not on the sideline. Um I mean, yeah. Yeah, there’s always a there’s always a chance could help for sure. Um but I mean, hey, um it happens like it’s it’s it’s for Jake to see at the end of the day. Um Joe won’t always have Jake to be there. Jake won’t always have Joe to be there. Vice versa. So, it’s adversity. They got to they got to feel the pressure. Um, that’s that’s what make quarterbacks good. He feel the pressure and he make decisions off of it. He was always on the sideline when he had the wrist those last seven games. Did you guys interact at all? He letting you know what he sees or was he? Honestly, I don’t really think we had much to talk about. I think the most he was saying was to the quarterbacks and just like trying to get plays going, but he wasn’t really talking to the receivers. Did you do anything different this week, Jac? Um, no. I mean, I don’t think I did. I came every day the same. Working every day the same. Do you pay attention to spreads or how much of an underdog you are this week? You’re 10 and a half point underdogs. What you talking about? Fancy. No, just I don’t even know what you’re talking about. That’s how I know it. I’m that lost. Nobody is expecting. My point is nobody is expecting you or very few people are expecting you to win the game. Oh, Sunday and you’re big underdogs. Yeah. When you’re that big of an underdog at home, any different mentality? No. I feel like people always made us underdogs. I feel like it’s our job to make sure that we showed them the wrong. You know what I’m saying? Um, everybody’s going to have their opinion, but at the end of the day, we wor about what’s in the locker room and what we can take care of on the field. you said earlier talking about keeping guys up when things start going bad and during the game is that the the hard part like during the week everybody believes in the plan you guys think you can win and you’re working to get ready but then when it starts to slide in a game you see people kind of maybe check out a little if I’m being honest I don’t mind when the players get mad I don’t I don’t mind that because that mean they care at the end of the day you know what I’m saying and I want guys to to play with passion I want them to play with anger you know what I’m saying because you never know how guys might respond and I I I told my guys that recently after the game. I just want them to play with a little more fire and anger underneath. If the team doesn’t play better, do you threaten to take cereal boxes away or how does that work? Um um I don’t really do that. No, I mean I gave a little speech after the game. Don’t want to really say what I said, but you know, I spoke up to the guys after the game about how I felt about what’s going on. What kind of a challenge does Detroit’s defense pose? Say it again. I’m sorry. What kind of a challenge does Detroit’s defense pose? Um, well, they got a lot of guys on on IR right now. So, um, I think they’re going to come out play play zone a lot. Uh, they’re mostly a man team. Uh, you know, disguise a couple zones. Um, but majority of the time they playing man, but against us, I think they going to go zone. Do you prefer zone or man? Man, of course. Yeah. A lot of guys don’t play us. I mean, Denver played us man last year. This year, they played us man the first quarter and went to zone after the whole game. So, thanks. Cool. Thank you.

FORE ZAC TAYLOR AND THE DUKE TOBIN AND GET US SOME REAL DAMN COACHES WHO GET THIS TEAM READY FOR THESE GAMES
Who dey
Go trade for jemsis Winston.
THE NFL IS RIGGED. Jake is doing exactly what he is paid to do. Zach got the call from Game Rigging Goodell and he said to stop allowing Browning to make Burrow look so bad. Explain how he could do so well in the Jags game and have the O line do so well when he came into the game…ACCORDING TO PFF The O LINE did better than they have in years. Go from that then the next 2 games be completely incompetent man its the NFL RIGGING GAMES….Some other teams have huge college prospects they just drafted with sponsors already paying for playoff time and money for their advertisements HAHAHAH #RIGGED NFL Its all about money not the GAME FOLKS!!!! SORRY….
Chase is a leader!
Sorry cincy, between your poor performance and coaching issues, and cross dressing half time shows, I'm out for the season. Try again next yearš¤”

Bengals will not win 5 games
Believe that Jake Browning can't find jamar Chase overall periods because of not having time too throw period!
Jake Browning can't keep just throwing the ball out of bounds were a receivers have no chance of getting it period!!!!
Hopefully theres not one single person who is still a Bengal Fan who still thinks we should've taken penn sewell.
