Tired of being eliminated from playoff contention before October

Cowboys are terrible. 1-4
London games are always a crapshoot. 2-4
Panthers are terrible. 3-4
Bengals without Burrow are terrible. 4-4
Browns are terrible. 5-4
@Patriots probably a loss
Ravens are imploding. 6-5
Falcons and Dolphins are below average, both home games. 8-5, could be 7-6 though
Jaguars might be a loss so 8-6/7-7
Saints are terrible. 9-6/8-7
At this point, we’re being commended for having a turnaround season, so in a high stakes game against NE to clinch the playoffs, in MetLife….we win. 10-6
Buffalo rests starters Week 18. 11-6

I think the worst play for me was when we fielded that punt at the two. It was such bonehead bad football IQ stupidity that I just stood up off the couch, laughed, and left the room.
I genuinely don’t understand how the NFL is ok with one of its largest fanbases just checking out by October for a decade and a half. If they can force out Snyder they’ve got to be able to force out Woody.
The sad part is, each of the next 5 years from now where gonna see this same exact post

I like it. It means I don’t have to worry about arranging my Sunday schedule around football. Sure I’ll still check on the games and watch if I have nothing better to do. But I can’t imagine anything worse than wasting a beautiful fall day because I stayed home to watch the Jets lose by 13 points to fall to 2-7.
I mean it’s on you if you expected us to be anything good this year
It’s even better when we genuinely don’t look close to ending it any time soon. Maybe if we use our top 3 pick on another o-lineman we’ll actually be able to pass protect

Idk, I think believing this team was going to be competitive is the problem. The franchise hasn’t given us any reason to believe they know how to field a competent team. Football and sports are supposed to be enjoyed, or some kind of stress relief / distraction. There hasn’t been a reason to believe this team would be successful for a long time and to think otherwise is setting yourself up for failure and disappointment. You can’t watch this team and expect them to win or really be competitive.
Gotta keep things in perspective with this franchise!

Your mistake is ever thinking there was a chance. The over/under was 5.5 wins my guy. Vegas is rarely wrong.
Be thankful the shit show was obvious early so you can go do something productive with your Sundays now.
Another season, another year to use your Sunday to do something else beside watching this continually awful team. Thus the life of the Jet fan.
We really need to put the pressure on woody to sell. He’s the worst owner in US sports and has never had any actual success in his life, other than being born to one of the richest families. Can someone reach out to his financial advisor and tell him he’s made enough off of the Jets? They would be so much more valuable if they were at least competitive.
Unprepared players is the coaches fault. It’s not like we were playing a 3-0 team.
