NHL Preseason Highlights | Panthers vs. Lightning | October 2, 2025

Barkov and Kachchuck who have suffered long-term
injuries, but they’re going to start their third line which was so instrumental in them winning the
Stanley Cup last year. Anton Lundell centers it. It was in behind the intended target. Marian digs
it out, gets it back to Kulakov. A shot on the way and that didn’t miss by much. Here’s Point. Steps
around Bennett. He’s going to try the left side now. point stops off feeds the line long shot on
the way and Terosov has got it. Pors Bryan had an off season last year was only plus 33 after
his plus 56 the year before. Yeah, what a what a player he is. So solid in Titan that is cleared
out by Bennett and he’s done that three years in a row racing after that loose puck in the corner.
It’s turned over by Eric Glad Porn drops it back and Terasoft somehow keeps that out. Radish who
was not on the last power play was sitting in the box. Here comes Cutro. Slides his way in, drops
it off for Bjorkstrand. Bjorkstrand’s return feed was cut off by Forsling and sent out. Look at
Harrison way out of his net is empty and it’s a tap in for Etu Loin. Lerian’s got some pretty
good speed, but this was a yeah, misjudgment there by Halverson. Probably 10 ft or so of the blue
line. The puck is just not rolling fast enough, so it betrays him. And I think probably putting
myself in his shoes, he’s studying the puck so much, he took his eye off Loen coming in with
high speed. And then Lo Serena is smart enough that he just has to knock it by him and he’s got
a free shot. Here comes Carter Bhggy. Drops it back. Shot way on to the save and the rebound on
the near side was cleared away. He was around. Moser steps in at James going to the front of the
net. Back to the point for sure. Kick saved by Terasoft. Puck is loose and it’s pushed into the
corner. This is Gourd. Pass across. A little too hot to handle. Reset back to the line. Slap shot
on the way. Loose puck for Gourd. Centers it. Oh, and Terasov keeps it out. They are all around
it. And now here comes Coojov. Fresh legs off the bench. Florida exhausted. Back to the pass.
Terasov with another brilliant stop. That one on Littleberg. But Terasov outstanding in goal. Look
at this save with the blocker. He’s on the seat of his pants. That’s Dominic Hosik style. Out of
control yet makes the save. There’s another one. points up the ice with York Strand. Cut out by
Kagov wide open. Here’s Cudra back in front. They score. Cut for a pass. Gensel with a finish. Power
play goal. Tie game. This really takes over here. Really nice job support in close. Get the puck to
the other side. And then Genso who actually get See how quickly again they went to Gut. Watch
this again. Gensel has lots of time and room, but who are they worried about? Cooerop in
the middle of the ice. So Cooerop does what he does. Takes both defenders with him. Gives it
back to Gensel. And this is not an easy goal. A lefty on the short side. This one goes all the
way around for the waiting Aaron Egglad. Egglad dug out by Brad Marshan. Here’s Jones again.
Snaps a shot. Kipped and scored. It was Brad Marshan parked right in front and I believe this
is going to be his goal. A power play marker for the veteran. It’s Jones going to the bench
first, but we’ll see. Alverson was no doubt distracted. So this screenshot, but look at
the top of your screen here. Marian’s been around the block. He knows exactly where to
be. Halverson tries to come out close to him, but he just doesn’t pick it up. That looked like
it got it hit somebody on the way. Maybe this one will show a little bit better. Who gets a Oh yeah,
definitely went off a stick in front. That’s the midway point of this second period. Hey Patty,
what what a lot of guys will do, including you, I know in the past. Big stop by Halverson.
Beautiful save with a right back. And then the big save here by Halverson. This is Marian
coming in. Rodriguez just gets back on side. That pass doesn’t get through. Now here comes a
twoon one. It’s Kraov. He’s got Gensel wide. Krav in across the Gensel. Rebound. Scores. Brain and
point following up. Burries it and ties the game. Terasov’s got a lot of motion in his game in goal.
Initial attack here. It’s Cucherov. And that’s the guy you want to have the puck. Kulakov the lone
man back. Cucharov still gets it through him. Kulakov knows that Coocher wants to make the
play. Threads that through. That’s the third time in a scoring situation that Gensel’s just
had bad luck. But it turns out all right for Braden Point. You see the goalender Terz. That’s
what I’m talking about. Cheekbone. That’s what I was saying that those those are really tough and
sometimes after a little bit of time you start to have those headaches and whatever. And so they’re
going to play it really safe with Shernak and not have him out. Here comes Gensel right side, takes
the shot, scores. What a shot by Jay Gensel. Power play goal. His second goal of the game and it
is 32 Tampa Bay. Yeah, don’t forget about the skill. Gensel coming in off his off wing so you
get that stick blade in the middle of the ice and not off to the boards. And Terzoff hadn’t seen a
shot like that in a while. He’s in okay position, but that one just plain beat him. That’s slow-mo.
You’re looking at it. That just jumped off the blade. Auto reach there for 6’6 Nico Mikol.
Oh, he’s a heck of a player for him. Ever since they acquired him, he’s been a big key to their
defensive play and big reason they’ve won the top. James was cut down and that’s going to cause a
response as well. Gajic is going to fight for the second time. And this is Gonzalz who’s
way out of his weight class in this scrap, but he’s taking the challenge anyway. Conor
Geeki. I I was I’ll be honest. I was watching at the other end with the Yeah. altercation. I’m
not even sure if this goal was counted it whether a whistle went or not. I’m not sure either. I
didn’t see the finish of the play either cuz all heck was breaking loose at the other end
of the ice. Hopefully for Connor Geeki sake, especially with a move like this against an
experienced defenseman like Seth Jones and then pay it off. That’s what I’ve been talking
about about Connor Geeki. Slides it back down in the corner and gets it right back. Feeds it into
the bumper to go across the point and now has lost his stick. Hudrov shoots and he just missed.
puck possession. Once the stick gets broken, that gives him an extra opportunity as well, too.
I think Terzoff may have got a piece of that one. This is a hot shot by coach. And then who sticks
with Carter Verhy sent down. Back door feed to Reinhardt. Hits the post short side. Rattled off
the ice. 8:15 to go here in the third period. Reinhardt come close. All of a sudden actually
got a piece with his stick there. So obviously when you played for the Montreal Cans, the big
rivalry was the Boston Bruins. How many times would you play them in the preseason and how
many games would get out of hand like this? Yeah. Here’s a chance for Cerilli scores. Anthony
Cerelli finishes that one and makes it 52. Yeah, nice hands there. And guess who? Carile. And
Celli got inside position. And see there’s Celli left side of your screen. But look at him just
lay that one in there. That’s a beautiful shot. Looked like he was going to go to the opposite
side, but look at that. That’s beautiful pass. Final seconds tick away. And
that is going to do it. The Lightning will take this one by a
score. 52 is the final. Surprise.
