So Amir, before we get into these two topics, just real quick, what do you think about the Yovic, you know, like extension, you know, he really hasn’t played too many games. There’s a lot of questions about him. I think he’s loaded with potential, but if the Miami Heat are not going to utilize him the right way, we’re going to have some major problems. I like the deal. I mean, honestly, that’s like the average NBA contract value right now is folks that are top five, top seven in the NBA are making roughly 14 to 15 million per season. That’s what he’s getting for the next four years. I personally thought he was going to get like a four-year $44 million deal. So, average more towards 10 because he hasn’t really proven anything. This is more about paying him on his potential and his upside. So, excuse me. I’m okay with it because he does have a skill set that is unique in the NBA. He’s 6’10. He’s a forward with guard skills, with the ability to put the ball on the floor, with the ability to get to the rim, pass, playmake, and shoot the three. He just needs to improve on rebounding and his back to the basket game, which he’s trying to. You could see in Euro Basket he’s been playing more back to the basket, especially on mismatches. He just needs to improve, I think, on the rebounding and stay healthy. He played 46 games last year. The year before that, 46 games. That’s simply not enough. That’s 90 That’s 92 games in two years, right? Out of 164 possible games. That’s the biggest issue. I think it’s a total totally fair value for someone with his skill set. Now, Zack Low thinks that this Miami Heat team, even with Tyler Herro out, you know, can still, you know, they can still contend, you know, and he still thinks that this Miami Heat team will make some noise. What’s your starting lineup? You know, there’s a lot of people saying that where is going to start. There’s a lot of people saying because of Yoic getting paid, he’s probably going to start. Or there’s even some people that want the triple big lineup. they want Powell to start, you know, like what is your starting lineup, you know, going into this season? And do you think that the Miami Heat can really contend? Because, you know, Bam is saying it now, you know, DaVon is saying it. And I really do think in a weak Eastern Conference, they can contend. There’s no excuse this season for this Miami Heat team to not be a top five team. I mean, I don’t know if they can actually I contend in terms of the East. Yes, I think they can. they can contend at best for like the fourth seed. I would say for them to actually get out of the east that’s going to be really difficult. There’s got to be growth from from Bam, especially compared to last year. Tyler Herro needs to continue on this path of being an all-star. Norman Powell needs to be your second best scoreer potentially. Andrew Wiggins needs to go back to that two-way um intensity that he had at one point and he needs to play well. Like if if Andrew Wiggins doesn’t play well, then then we’re kind of screwed. Like if Norman Pal is not playing as good as he did with the Clippers, then we’re kind of screwed. So can we compete in a weekend East? Yes. But I still think it’s going to be hard to beat a New York Knicks. Like they have a bonafide star on their team. We don’t have a superstar on this team. That’s the biggest issue is can the sum be as can the collective sum be good enough to compete with teams that have those superstars? Like Jaylen Brunson is effectively like a superstar when healthy. And is Donovan Mitchell a superstar? Maybe not. But like he’s still a bigger star than we have anybody that we have on our our squad. Um Kade Cunningham is becoming a superstar in front of our eyes. Paulo Bonera, like these guys are both young, so it might be hard to get even past the Detroits and the Orlando, but is it possible? Yes. Like I don’t think it’s impossible. Um what was the first part you asked me about as well? Like what’s like your starting lineup right now going into the season? Yeah. Yeah, that one. So it was going to be Tyler, but since he’s going to be out for eight weeks, you got DaVon and Norm 100% as your back court. I personally would love to test out the big lineup dependent on matchups. If we’re playing the Cavs, I want to play that back court. I want to play Nico, Bam, and Kell together. You’re going to have to stagger their minutes, though. Like, you can’t have all three of them in there um for the first six or seven minutes of that first quarter. Like, maybe you take Kell out after a few minutes because we only have one other big on the bench, and that’s Precious Achu. I don’t know how much time he’s going to get or if he’s going to be in the rotation at all, but like if you do that three big man lineup, then Precious has to be in that rotation, I would assume, right? To give some time off for Bam and Kell. But realistically, I think it’s going to be I think it’s going to be DaVon, Norm, Wiggins, Bam, and Kell to start. I know Yoic just got the contract. He’s getting paid starter salary, but I just still think Bam doesn’t want to play center. And with Yic in there, Yovic is not guarding Embiid. He’s not guarding Joker. He’s not guarding Jared Allen. Like, he’s not going to guard those guys. Like, he’s not going to guard the bigs, Anthony Davises. Like, he’s going to guard the four. So, Bam effectively is going to be a center. If you have KL Wear out there, he can actually guard the bigs. I don’t know how effective he’s going to be. We saw Jared Allen destroy him in the playoffs last year, right? But Kell put on some size. He He’s getting a full training camp, another preseason with the Miami Heat. He’s going into his second year. So, I want the all big lineup. I just don’t think it’s going to happen. I think it’s going to be Kell for now. And then I think it’s going to be dependent on matchup, honestly. It could switch throughout the season. Yeah. Like, I just think that this Miami Heat team, I think we have a well-rounded team in terms of size, athleticism, defense, you know, stuff that we’ve been asking for for so long. when you have Bam, Tyler, Norm, you know, and Wiggins. And I think, you know, Norman Pal said itself, of course, every team wants a superstar, you want a superstar, you know, to help lead your team, but he’s right when it comes to sometimes you just need a well-rounded, deep team. If you have a team that’s well-rounded where you have guys that you can count on, like I said, I don’t understand why people are sleeping on Wiggins. I’m not saying he’s going to be the next Jimmy Butler, but he’s 30 years old. He’s a champion. Norman, he’s People forget he’s a former champion. He had a great season. These are not scrubs. These are some of the those two guys are some of the talented guys we the most talented guys we’ve ever had on our roster. Think about it. When you look, bro, we have like 10 former first round picks on our roster. Exactly. No more. No offense to the guys undrafted. No Gabes, no Maxes. There is no more of the undrafted guys that you’re well you know what they really can’t play. No, we have talented guys. Bam. Tyler Norman Wiggins, DaVon Khil, and Yovic. My only thing is I’m gonna need Spo to play the young guys this season. He will. I still think that we can make it out of the Eastern Conference. You know, I still think that only because the East is in shambles. The Bucks, Giannis doesn’t even want to be there no more. The Celtics, Tatum is not coming back. Dame is gone. Okay. Philly, they can’t stay healthy to save their lives. Cleveland, what have they done? New York, what have they done? Yes, they have good talent. Yes, they have good rosters on paper, but what can they actually do? we produce more than them and they’re and they’re a more talented team. Yeah. You know, yeah, Detroit, you know, and Atlanta and the Orlando Magic, they’re going to be there, but if you’re telling me that you have DaVon and Kaware and like I said, and our group that we have, I don’t see why there’s no excuse for us not to be a top six seed. There is no excuse for us to be in the plan. Absolutely not. Top six. Top six. As long as we’re healthy, at least for the most part, it’s embarrassing if we’re not in the top six. We could go to the top four. I I I really think we could be I think we should be anywhere from four to seven at worst. So, even if we do make the playin, like four to seven is kind of the range that I think the Heat are in. three. If there’s other injuries, if Paulo gets hurt, if a Fron Wagner gets hurt on the Magic, even if a Desmond Bane gets hurt or like a Cade Cunningham or someone, you know, like a Donovan Mitchell gets hurt, a Mobley gets hurt, a Brunson gets hurt, like you mentioned this, many guys can get hurt throughout a season. So, like that can then leaprog the Miami Heat because I don’t I’m not worried about Atlanta still. I’m not worried about Chicago or Toronto or that tier, but I am worried that Detroit and Orlando because they’re young and they care more. It seems like for the regular. I mean, this Miami Heat team cares. They’re locked in more than ever. I think I really think they’re locked in. That was a Jimmy Load managing kind of not taking the regular season ser because you could have this team, they’re taking the regular season seriously. Remember, they got their ass whooped. You know, like I said, Dave, Bam, they all coming out. Even Wiggins, even Wiggins looks like he’s fine. We just was happy to be here. Bo was upset, too. He was embarrassed. He said I was embarrassed as hell for losing two games like that by 55 and 37 at home. We lost two games by 90 points comb. Isn’t that that’s insane. Like that’s that’s two of the most embarrassing playoff games in Miami history, right? I don’t care who’s on that roster. That that’s unreal to lose a home game by 55. Like that’s crazy, right? Like never has happened before for us. So, so like I said, air, thank you for coming on the show. I think that this Miami Heat season is going to be a lot better than what people think. I still think we have a very talented group. I’m not saying we’re going to win the championship, but like I said, this kind of reminds me of the bubble team where, you know, you don’t really think they’re that good, but there are talented guys on this roster. We have what, 10 former first round picks. There’s no excuse. Make sure that you guys go to Amir’s channel, hit that subscribe button, and thank you guys for all the support.

  1. What's up Amir and Martin? You know what team didn't have a superstar persay and became NBA Champions is the Detroit Pistons of the early 2000s. They really didn't have a superstar, but all their pieces played well together, and their starting 5 were all really good players.
