It’s not surprising that a 63 year old manager that’s been coaching for 25+ years probably wasn’t huge on analytics like some younger coaching staffs.
I think they probably need to find someone in between Melvin and Kapler (though I think a lot of Kap’s moves were from further up.)
Someone that’s going to use it and allow it enough, but not so much that they’re letting a computer spit out lineups and roster moves.
Use the data, but also use a human heart/brain when it comes to dealing with human beings.
Analytics. Are we in for a Kapler reunion? LOL!
Sounds like we need new coaching staff then.
