Justin Fields Postgame Press Conference (9/29) | New York Jets at Miami Dolphins | Week 4

How frustrating to get up to start? Yeah, it’s frustrating. Um, couldn’t be that simple. Like I said, yeah, I mean, it’s frustrating for sure, but um at the end of the day, if we look at it from a far perspective, you know, we have three games that are lost by one score, and this is kind of how that this league works, you know, close games at the end. And I think tonight we uh shot ourselves in the foot a lot. You know, turn turning the ball over uh penalties and that source. But um it’s it’s very frustrating, but you know, I’m not losing faith. Nobody in the locker room is losing faith and all we’re going to do is you know, keep our head down and work. Has there been kind of a common thread? Why you feel like it’s kind of in the penalties or the turnovers? What do you guys kind of been that common thread in the first four losses? I mean, yeah, it’s it’s penalties and turnovers. I mean, that was the story today. Um we had a fumble on the three. I fumbled um we had to fumble on special teams and it’s it’s it’s hard to win games like that. It’s hard to win games. We’re getting penalties on critical downs. So, we just have to really just tune in on that. Hone in on that and uh eliminate those mistakes. What What happened on that fumble? I mean, what should you have done differently? My fle? Yeah. Hold on to the ball. Was it just two hands on the ball or or I think I had two hands on it, but I hold on to the ball. How’d you feel overall out there today? Felt all right. Um felt like, you know, felt like we could have started better. I think I I mean, I know our first drive was a good drive, but like I said, it was just the turnover that killed it. And um overall, I think we we played all right as a team, but like I said, those penalties and turnovers are unacceptable. Just what was what was Aaron’s message to the team afterwards? The same thing. We got to eliminate penalties and turnovers and I mean, yeah. I mean, it’s it’s really nothing to overthink whatsoever. It’s penalties and turnovers and us shooting ourselves in the foot. So, when that first drive does end that way, how deflating is that? How difficult is that to overcome? I mean, it’s not difficult at all. Um, I think we started what inside the tent. So, I mean, you have a long drive. Um, we’re having our way and then, you know, mistake happen. We’re all human. Mistakes happen, but like I said, we want to limit those as as much as possible. you know, first drive of the game, you just brush it off. There’s a lot of game left, but uh I mean, you don’t really get discouraged over that. Like I said, it’s a fumble this football, but at the end of the day, we did have a 90 something yard drive to start the game off. So, we started off welling, you know, just didn’t finish that drive. How do you remain upbeat just, you know, after this 04 start and just, you know, keep a positive attitude? Like I said, uh we’ve lost three games that are within one score. So, um we’re going to be in this position a lot more and I feel like all three games that we’ve lost, you know, we kind of shot ourselves in the foot. So, just constantly preaching and honing in on the fact that no penalties and no turnovers. I’m going continue to say it. Um, and I told the guys for the game, I’m not losing. We have a 13 games guaranteed left. So, we can go on a run here and just keep building, keep working, and just keep going. Like, it’s early in the season. It’s it’s four games and of course we want a better start than that, but like I said, if we keep working, We know the team that we can beat if we just eliminate the penalties, eliminate the turnovers and take. Thank you everyone. Thank you. Thank you.

  1. Once they stopped calling so many run plays points start being put up on the board. We know justin can run but get him some quick hitters early so he can let it rip for the rest of the game

  2. Only thing that was on fields tonight was that fumble. Be played a really solid game. The coaches failed him and the flags, holy smokes the flags. Not a jets fan, but there’s some upside here for sure

  3. You can't talk about accountability and continue to play Tony Adams, Tyler Barron, Isiaih Williams and Michael Clemons. Should Aaron Glenn take over the defensive play-calling duties from Wilks? I think so.

  4. LMAO he's doing the same things he did in Chicago 😂 glad he's not a bear 🐻 he's your problem now lol P. S. HE CANT READ THE DEFENSE SO HES THE CHECK DOWN KING LOL

  5. You go pray for Caleb, your defense and special teams are winning the games not Caleb. I live in Chicago and left the Bears because they are sorry. I'm a Jets fan now because of Fields. Good luck with your division games coming up😂😂😂

  6. Hey everyone go read Fields stats for this game. He did his job. He is not the reason for the loss. Too many penalties, too many missed tackles and the defense let the Dolphins score.

  7. The hate for JF is egregious . Isn’t warranted. Man has one receiver. Whatever he does people find fault. Runs too much, doesn’t make short passes. Make the short passes, he doesn’t make plays down the field.
He needs to find Wilson. He’s forcing in to Wilson. Not accurate. Complete over 70 percent of passes, still looking for negative stuff. ONLY QB in league gets judged unfairly and critical. Crazy

  8. Justin handles himself well following games like this – just wish he had the fire in frustrating moments to take over on the field when confidence in everyone else waivers. Worried he's just not built like that. Wish AG had not pushed Rodgers out of the building – he literally wanted to return to just help in any way he could, and we spit in his face.

  9. Nice kid. Trash quarterback. Can’t process a defense and wildly inaccurate. Try again. Complete waste of time and 30 million dollars. Failed attempt number 1 by AG. This team sucks at everything.

  10. The team is hot garbage right now and heading for a complete dumpster fire.
Glenn hasn’t accomplished anything he’s spouted since they hired him 4 games in. Vegas knows what they’re doing putting them at a 5.5 win total suckering in Jet fans who believed Glenn’s BS with the over. Everyone thought well they certainly gotta be better with competent coaching : WRONG
IDK where this team goes from here with the most poorly constructed roster featuring NO WRs aside from Wilson. Mougey is incompetent
