We Spent 72 Hours W/ The Philadelphia Phillies!

If you don’t get it after showing up to a Red October Philadelphia Phillies game, then get the out of Philly. What’s good, guys? We’re back at Chase Field spending the weekend with a National League juggernaut as they head into the MLB playoffs. Red October is officially back in Philadelphia as the Phillies just clinched their second straight NL East title. This team has been dominant over the last few years, and we want to ask the guys what has contributed to their success, and what it takes to go on a run in the playoffs. We’ll be asking players what makes their clubhouse such a special group, their ballpark such an electric atmosphere, and what it’s going to take for this team to get the job done in October. This squad is loaded with talent. So, let’s see who we can talk to. I hear you Spanish videos, but I want to hear in person. Yeah, let’s do Spanish. Yeah, bro. Phillies. Bro, like Bryce Harper, Schwarber, we learn a lot of, you know, a lot of Philly. I can’t explain, bro. Yeah, insane. Yeah, insane. Walk up song remix and the lights in Minnesota. I forgot his name. Dusting. Dusting. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Johan Duran, absolute dog. One of the best entrances in the league. One of the best closes in the league. He’s a dog. Phillies just got him at the trade deadline from the Twins. He’s going to be a huge part of their playoff push. Low-key sneakiest, but probably highkey. Not sneaky at all. The best batting practice hats in the league. Phillies have some dope ones, bro. The Phillies batting practice hats. Best ones I’ve seen by far. Comment below if you think any others are better than it. But I think that wins best BP hat, bro. It has theatic on the hat. How can you beat that? Also, just talked to Harrison Bader. We’ve never done an interview with him before. We talked to him a couple times off camera, but hopefully get the first interview here in a few minutes. Congratulations on the division title earlier this week. What’s it been like for you coming over after the trade? How these guys welcomed you and what’s it been like getting settled in? Yeah, it’s been great. You know, I’ve said this a lot. Winning baseball, winning culture, trying to win, preparing to win. I think it’s all a universal language. Obviously, different background, never played with them before. Everybody in this clubhouse from the managers and the coaching staff to the front office, obviously to the players, they all speak that same language. There’s a lot of history obviously and especially last few years. The winning culture was one that I was just excited to join, do my best to add to every single night. So, it’s been a lot of fun. You’ve been on playoff teams before, but what about this team is sticking out to you? What’s different about the chemistry and the makeup of this team? I think they have a lot of similarities to other teams I’ve been on. Some of those character traits involve just being poised, you know, being calm in the moment, preparing well, being confident, being a good teammate, being positive, and then, you know, from a baseball perspective, I think we just take care of the baseball really well. Pitch, hit obviously in big moments. And yeah, there’s just like a level of, I think, just calmness that a lot of guys share. And obviously, we know what’s at stake. We know what’s in front of us. and just going out there and calmly executing executing I think is what really good teams on the stretch share in common. So I think this team obviously has that. You’ve gotten to experience it a little bit. Red October that atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park is is pretty unmatched. What is it like to get to play in front of those fans and how do you feed off of that energy? Yeah, it’s great. You know, it’s a lot of passion out there. They want to win. They’re kind of like that tenth man, if you will. I think just the passion, knowing how to not get too high or too low in given moments and kind of use the adrenaline on the field that the fans kind of supply and fuel as just a way to kind of keep it bottled and just kind of adds to your focus if that makes sense. So yeah, I think having the fans behind us in that stadium obviously plays to our advantage and I’ve only seen it from the opponent side. So I’m excited to experience it on the on the home side obviously. You know, listen, we got a lot of baseball left before that. So stick tonight one pitch at a time and kind of go from there. Been on a real hot streak lately. A bit of a spark plug up there at the top of the lineup. What do you think’s been key to your success since you’ve been coming over? Obviously, you got some big hitters, Bryce and Schwarber, behind you in the lineup. How do those guys help protect you and give you confidence in your at bats? Yeah, I think the approach is the same. You know, regardless of where you’re hitting, just try to pass the baton, take a good at bat, try to execute your plan, whether that’s a first pitch of the at bat or towards the middle or you’re battling and it kind of comes at the end. I think just staying with your plan and trusting your preparation and just passing the baton, you know, putting putting together the good at bat. You know, you don’t really have to do anything besides execute what you’re trying to do up there. whatever happens after the the bat hits the ball or is thrown, you know, is kind of is up to, you know, whatever happens. But just being present in those moments prior to that exact point of contact and just getting on base for the guys behind you, whether you’re batting first or ninth. I mean, I think the plan of attack always remains the same. So, obviously, this team has a really good leadoff hitter and Trey. So, just trying to do what he does at the top of the order and kind of channel that, I think, see pitches, swing at strikes, battle pitches off so our hitters behind me can kind of see what the pitcher has as an obligation to the team when you’re hitting from that position, which I realize. So I think taking it from that perspective kind of alleviates a lot of the pressures of trying to get a hit. So obviously I’m enjoying it and just trying to keep it warm for when he comes back. So I know we’re all excited to get him back. Harrison Bader have been an absolute spark plug for the Phillies at the top of their lineup like he mentioned without Trey. They’re definitely missing a big bat there at the top, but he’s done a great job filling in. Coming up clutch since the trade. Also some of the best BP drip we’ve ever seen. Harrison Badar got the Ezekiel Elliott crop top. Bro, why did you ask him for a breakdown? Comment below. Congrats on clinching the NL East. You guys have had a lot of success and been one of the most dominant teams over the last couple years. Why do you think y’all just click so well? I think we got a lot of good guys in the clubhouse and you know, John Middleton and Dave Dumbrosski have spent a lot of money on a lot of talent. Everybody cares from all the way up top to the people that are taking care of the clubhouse. What’s it like now that you’ve been with all these guys for a couple years? Experienced highs, experienced lows. I mean, it’s a brotherhood, I would say, to put it lightly. What do you think makes the atmosphere in Philly so special and like different? I see it from TV. It looks lit. But you have a lot of people that have a ton of attention and emotion invested in sports. Did you ever go to like an Eagles parade or anything like that? I’ve been to a European soccer game. They’re not quite as passionate as European soccer, but I mean it’s the closest thing I think in the States that I’ve been to so far. What was I just going to say? Cut. I’m kidding. You’ve been to the World Series before. You know what it takes to get there. What can you tell the people about what it takes to make it that far in October? Well, first it takes a healthy squad and you also have to be hot at the right time. Not always the most talented team wins the World Series. It’s just the team that’s playing the best baseball at the right time. Everybody kind of just says the same thing. Just focus on the controllables and just compete as best you can. Don’t worry about what’s going to happen or what has happened. Focus on what’s happening for as long as the playoff run goes and hopefully it ends with you being the last team standing. Nick Costanos, one of the faces of the Phillies over the last few years. Absolute legend. He’s always an interesting interview. Always kept it real. He’ll hit you with like some dryness or some sarcasm, but it’s all good vibes at the end of the day. Shout out Nick. Day two out here. Phillies kind of dominated last night and the two hitters we talked to kind of went off. Three hit game for Harrison Bader. Big pinch hit home run for Casanos off the bench. They win 8 to2. Let’s see how they keep it rocking today and keep the momentum going. So, when this video goes live, the playoffs are actually going to be in full swing. Wildard round just wrapped up. So, let us know in the comments your World Series predictions. Can the Phillies take it, bro? Hey, thank you all for the Thank you for the merch. Absolutely. You guys have been through so much this year. What can you tell the fans about what’s going on inside the clubhouse and what the chemistry of this team is like? Yeah, I think guys are just buying into whatever they need to do to win. We’re having a lot of fun. I’ll say that we’re having a lot of fun in the clubhouse, keeping it light. Got new music every time Stubby’s Stuby’s doing a good job with all that. So, yeah. Does it start to feel different this time of year at all? Like, can you get that feeling in the clubhouse that playoffs are right around the corner? Yeah. And I think what’s cool is we’ve got a lot of guys that have been through it before. I’m very fortunate. When I got called up in 23, I was a part of it. Last year, a part of it. I just think this group’s a little different. Adversity has hit like with wheels and, you know, a couple guys going down and nothing’s really changed. Guys have just kept going on about their business and finding ways to win ball games. You’ve gotten to experience it all season long, but now people are seeing it on the national stage soon, Red October. Can you talk about what those Philly fans bring and the energy in the playoffs? Yeah. What I’ll say is the first time I experienced it, I looked out into the stands and it looked like you could see noise, the red towels flying. Yeah. All that. It’s just it’s incredible experience having having those fans there cheering us on. You know, hopefully we can have more cheers and blues this year. But uh yeah, I mean it’s it’s incredible. That’s all I got. Appreciate it. Thank you. Hey, thank you. Yeah, that was in fact drift yesterday. Of course, when I was wearing Weston Wilson’s brand Prosper yesterday, we don’t talk to him and then we talked to him today when I’m not wearing it. But hey, shout out to Prosper. Love seeing MLB players pursue other ventures. You’ve been a part of this team for a couple years. Y’all have a great core here. What can you tell the people about how special this group is? Yeah, the vibes are about as special as these right here. They’re up, man. Obviously, I haven’t been here all year this year, but coming into the locker room and just seeing the guys again obviously was cool for me to be able to be a part of it again. But having the same group of guys over the last four years is always something that you can’t take for granted cuz not a lot of organizations will do that. So, being able to have that solid group of dudes that have been here for a while and the fact that we all mesh well together, love to go golfing together, hang out and do other stuff makes a lot of fun. What’s it like at this point in the season trying to gather yourself and lock in for the postseason? Is there going to be more film, more studying? Are you trying to work on new things or is it just like let’s ride the same wave? I think it’s a combination of all of it, right? Like you don’t want to do too much cuz if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it kind of thing. Obviously, we’ve done a lot of good a lot of winning this year, a lot of winning over the last few years, but haven’t had that ultimate goal of winning the World Series. So, there’s adjustments that are made. You kind of get a little bit more hyperfocused on some of the details when playoffs come. But in general, you go through your same exact routine and try not to get too far outside of the normal things that you do while understanding that the details matter exponentially when you get into the playoffs cuz one little mistake in the playoffs obviously can hurt you. And then so we’ve never been to Philly. Uh what can you tell That’s a crime. Yeah, I know. That’s a crime. What can you tell people who don’t know about Red October? I was interviewed a couple years ago just about Red October and the best way I can describe it is you see the Philly fans, the Eagle fans and they all get the rap of being, you know, boobirds and negadelia and all that jazz. While that may be a part of Philadelphia, you can really see what that city means to the people that live there when you come and watch a Philadelphia Phillies game. My quote goes, “If you don’t get it after showing up to a red October Philadelphia Phillies game, then get the out of Philly type of thing.” So, it’s an incredible atmosphere. It’s as good as it gets. Our fans show up in the regular season. I think we had one of the highest attendance this year and have for the past four years. So, you guys got to get out to Philly, even for a regular season game, but come playoff time, it’s as good as it gets. What’s the buy like? Couple days, one week, almost a whole week of no games. you do uh inner squad type games so that starters can pitch, relievers can pitch and then you can get live abs guys. So we’ll be doing that for that one week getting prepared. It’s definitely a different feeling, but we’ve done it the last couple years. So you know have an understanding of what you need to do to get prepared. What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen out of a Philly fan? Like have you been there for like a hot dog night or something like that? I have been there for now they do the bogo but I’ve been there for dollar dog night when hot dogs are flying. Some of the crazier things that they do is you’ll see a guy like running down from the 30th row or like second deck making his way down just to get to the back side of the dugout to just scream obscenities at everyone that’s in there. But outside of that, man, honestly, like the city supports us more than anything. Every city’s got their moments, but we try to avoid those by winning. If you’re winning, fans are happy, we’re happy, and world goes round. So, we’ll try to keep that going into October. See you. Garrett Stubs, one of the coolest guys in the MLB, catcher for the Phillies over the last few seasons. He’s been through the October runs with them before and he’s ready to lock it back in for this year. Always such a great interview. Honestly, he’s one of my favorites. Hopefully, he gets to do some DJing later tonight, too, for a postgame victory. We’ll see you at game three. Back for the Sunday series finale. Really exciting and good game last night. Three lead changes. Dbacks took it home four to three. But let’s see how the Phillies respond after a loss. Ranger Suarez on the bump today for the rubber match. Guys, it’s always so sick to check out the players gear when it’s just all out here. The Philly fanatic drip goes crazy, bro. I got all the Bruce Bolts. Yeah, I want a big league helmet, bro. 10k likes and we take all this and give it away to you guys. How you been? Good. See you again. All good. It’s our friend Tony. You guys have been able to find a lot of success as a group. What can you tell the fans about the chemistry inside of the clubhouse and how you all get along as a group? I think it’s kind of like an unfinished business vibe. A lot of these guys have been together since 22. I joined him in 23. So, we’re familiar with each other. We all know what’s at stake and I would say we’re we’re in a great spot right now. So, it’s just waiting for the postseason to get here. Do you guys start to get a bit of a different feeling in the clubhouse this time of year? Like, can you sense it’s right around the corner? I think maybe a little bit, but again, with the veterans in this clubhouse and with our experience, we kind of know we need to just ignore it and just take care of business and do our job one game at a time. Then, what can you tell us about the Red October atmosphere? You’ve gotten to experience it a couple times before. What kind of impact can the fans play on an outcome of a game? I’ve been telling Durant about it. He’s made comments about entering the game in Citizens Bank Park and I just keep telling them just wait, just wait. It’s just it’s different in October. I don’t know how to explain. Our fans are unbelievable in June and July. But in October, it’s I don’t think anyone sits down in October. So, it’s just it’s a unreal energy. And like I said, you just kind of feel it. So definitely is a home field advantage from the standpoint of the energy it gives us and probably the nervousness it gives the the visiting team. But yeah, it’s a special place. Watching on TV, like you said, people not sitting down, it kind of feels like Omaha or like College World Serieses, how they’re just into it every single pitch like it matters. Rose and Black College World Series though. Rose and Black, you got to specify that. But yeah, it’s uh it’s definitely got that vibe. There’s no words to explain it other than just you can feel the energy. Matt Stum, a filthy arm out of that Philly’s bullpen and also a known card collector. You’re probably wondering why didn’t I ask about that. It’s over on our short form, so go check out Instagram. Definitely going to be posting that soon. Oh, the show haze. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You’ve had the privilege of playing with one of the most dominant teams in the MLB to start your MLB career. You probably watching Harper in middle school, but yeah. What’s it like being a younger guy on a team full of like goats? It’s such a privilege to kind of be like it cuz like so many guys talking with Nolles early in his career. I don’t think he made playoffs the first six, seven years of his career. and it’s like 23 got up and went all the way to NLCS and like three years in a row being up here kind of blessed to go in the postseason every year. So, it’s kind of fun to see it that way and just kind of don’t take it for granted cuz not many guys get to do it. So, yeah, it’s cool to see like Hart was like always in uh big league sprint training that year in 23. So, like kind of the first shell shock was like when I got called up and seeing all the guys and like Shore, Zack and all them. So, it kind of makes it fun that way. I feel like in the past I heard more stories of just a separation between rookies and veterans. But what can you tell people about how cool everyone is with each other? It’s such like a family oriented group here where it doesn’t feel like business players are on their own or like veteran guys are on their own. Like they want to hang out. It’s like we’re all trying to be connected. We’re all trying to be one team, one close group together. So it kind of makes it fun with like how passionate everyone is and just kind of shows up every day and try and cheer for the other person next to you. Coming into your MLB debut, were you ready for how lit Philly was going to be? And what was it like to experience it? I feel like it’s such a tough question just cuz like it was the first year so like you kind of knew like when you got um drafted some of the for office people kind of telling you like how passionate everyone is. I don’t think there’s like a level of magnitude until you get on the mound in your first play appearance in Philly kind of like how loud and like passionate those fans are. I’m sure you guys seen it too where it’s like one night you give up a couple runs you’re getting booed at but then you can strike out the side in the ninth inning and they’re cheering for you. So it’s kind of it’s cool to see it that way and just shows how passionate and how awesome the fans are. So, I think you don’t really get to fully experience it until you’re actually out there and kind of see like how different a fan base everyone is right now in the season. What’s kind of like the mental approach going into the postseason? Y’all have been there before. I know y’all are hungry. Just take it one game at a time. I think every game is always important cuz it’s like you can go down 1, go up 1 and down 2, up 2 kind of thing. And 23 we were up 3 to2 and we lost the two at home and kind of like lost the chance for the World Series again. But you take it one game at a time. I think that’s what helps the most and just take each pitch, take each out, just keep in the moment kind of thing. So, I think that’s what’s more important. Orion Kirkering, absolute dog of a reliever for the Phillies over the last couple years. Bro’s only 24 years old, one year older than us, and he’s playing with guys like Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber. Bro, I would not know how to act, but it’s so cool to hear how close the Phillies clubhouse is. There’s no egos. Everyone’s a family. Love to see that. Bro, talking to these guys kind of got me fired up for Red October. We grew up outside of DC, so we’re not going to act like we’re Phillies fans, but these guys are so cool and we’re definitely rooting for them. Good to see them representing the NL East. We’re definitely watching a ton of playoff baseball right now while this video is live. It’s just the best time of the year. Hope you guys are enjoying the division series right now and keep on rocking with us through the rest of the playoffs. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe. It really helps us out and we appreciate your support. October baseball, let’s go. [Music]

How far can the Phillies go this year in October? 👀

We spent 3 days interviewing the 2025 Philadelphia Phillies right before the postseason as they played a 3 game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. We asked the guys about the Phillies’ regular season dominance over the past few years, how they’re feeling heading into RED October, what it’s gonna take to win the World Series, and SO MUCH MORE!!

In this video we interviewed Dominican closer Jhoan Duran, recently acquired outfielder Harrison Bader, veteran all-star Nick Castellanos, utility man Weston Wlson, catcher Garrett Stubbs, lefty all-star reliever Matt Strahm, and bullpen righty Orion Kerkering! Over the years we’ve gotten to talk to Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, and almost everyone on the Phillies and it’s been incredible to watch their dominance in recent years.

The Philadelphia Phillies are hungry to win a World Series this year for several key reasons:

Unfinished Business: After reaching the World Series in 2022 and falling short to the Houston Astros, and then losing the NLCS in 2023 after being heavily favored, the Phillies are driven to finally finish the job.

Veteran Core in Their Prime: Star players like Bryce Harper, Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, and Kyle Schwarber are in their peak years. The window to win with this core group is now.

Managerial Stability and Identity: Under Rob Thomson, the Phillies have developed a strong clubhouse culture and a gritty, resilient identity. They believe they belong among the elite.

High Expectations and Fan Pressure: Philadelphia has one of the most passionate fanbases in baseball, and after two deep playoff runs, the expectation is World Series or bust. The way these fans show out for Eagles football and Phillies baseball is INSANE!

Well-Balanced Roster: The team is built to win now — with power, pitching depth, postseason experience, and a hunger fueled by recent near-misses.

The Phillies have the talent, experience, and motivation. This year feels like their best chance to bring a title back to Philly. They are locked in and ready to go tomorrow against the Dodgers and it’s going to be an incredible NLDS!
