Every week, this team has actually been in the game (for the most part) until the 4th quarter. If our offense can ever find an ounce of flow, we might actually win a game or two. I also think missing Latham and having Zeitler on and off with his health, as well as missing Sweat, has really hurt the team. First game, Cam looked legit. We've been slowly trending downwards since then, but also dealing with injuries.

Just wanted to throw a little hopium on this dumpster fire we're all living in and I saw this on Facebook. Made me have a small bubble of hope pop up in me.

Cardinals are beatable. Titans have been absolutely gouged on the ground and AZ is on their 3rd and 4th string RBs now. Odds are, we still lose, but if our offense can get anything going, we're going to be in the game.

  1. I think it will get worse, but, sure. At least we get to have hope each week that things start clicking for Cam.

  2. I’m just looking for some watchable football. First couple games were fine by me. Texans game ate my soul.

  3. The problem with this team is we have an offensive head coach that can’t score any fucking points.

Meanwhile Kyle Shannahan can go up against the Rams defense with his top 3 WRs out, HoF TE out, HoF pass rusher out, backup QB Mac Jones playing injured and god knows who else and scores more points in three quarters than we have in any fucking game this season.

I’m so fucking tired of people using talent, injuries, or anything else as an excuse for this teams complete and utter ineptitude on offense.

It really can’t be much worse because our defense is playing a game and a half every week and still keeping us in it and we can’t get ANYTHING going on offense.

Until Callahan is removed from his post we’re just going to keep losing. It’s that simple.

Edit: let me not forget that Shannahan did all of this ON A SHORT FUCKING WEEK. I remember when we had a head coach that could pull those kind of rabbits out of hats. What happened to that guy?

  4. The funny thing is, even with those snips of how “close” the game is, a 1, 3, 11, 6 pt lead just feels like a comeback is not gonna happen.

    And guess what… it doesn’t!

  5. Latham coming back could help, but it’s not going suddenly solve our WR or edge problems, which is where we’re really getting killed.

Ward is still getting reasonable amounts of time in the pocket, we just can’t get anyone open.

Sweat could help against the run, but we’re already getting tons of interior pressure from Simmons we can’t close on because our OLBs are so bad.

Plus Callahan clearly doesn’t know how to scheme an offense without the best WR room in the NFL and a top 3 QB.

  6. If the Texans game ended 6-0 instead of what it was, you still would have an offense that was shut out from any points.

I see your point and agree they’re competitive at times but highly inconsistent and routinely breaks down during the game.

  7. I’m an Arizona-born Titans fan, gonna be in the visitor seats of my hometown stadium repping #1!

I’m gonna be the only one out of all of you that’ll be disappointed regardless of who wins!

  8. I hear ya, and I see ya, but I can’t agree with ya. They were who they were these past four games, and some of these ended up being ass whoopings on the final score.

  9. This is terrible logic.

This would be like Va Tech saying “hey we were leading Vandy 20-10 at the half so maybe we’re not so bad.” No, no one cares about that, they care that you got blown away in the final score.

If anything it more makes the point that things couldn’t be worse. Like, they are talented enough to compete for 20-30 minutes and then completely fall apart. That either means they have poor conditioning, poor attitudes, poor coaching or a combination. It ain’t good.

  10. Why can’t the offense find an ounce of flow? Thats why the head coach has to go. He’s an active detriment to the team every week causing them to lose winnable games and keeping the defense out on the field forever so theyre dead tired in the 4th quarter

  11. Sorry to say, the power of my cynicism drowned out the effects of your hopium. LOL

I am sure we will win a few games, but I am definitely inclined to believe we will be picking 1st in next year’s draft with a new head coach or at least a head coaching vacancy.

I do feel we have the talent to win; probably not playoff contenders, but talent wise, I could see at least an 8-8 year. Personally, I think we should be at 2-2 right now. However, we have a disconnect with the coaching staff. I’ve seen us be in games at halftime only to lose in the 2nd half. Why? Because the other team made adjustments and either we didn’t adjust or we were unprepared for them. Both scenarios falls squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff. This team is one of the most disjointed teams I have seen in quite some time.

Throughout my years of watching football, I have seen some very good coaches flop when given a head coaching job. It seems Callahan either falls into this category or is slow to learn. Regardless of reason, I feel he is on a short leash and needs the team to turn around quickly. I don’t think the AZ game is a make or break, but I do feel that if our performance does not pick up in the next few games, his stint at Tennessee is going to be short lived.

  12. It definitely could be worse! But at no point in the last two games did I think we could win, and the massive turnover differential against the Broncos made that game look closer than it was

  13. I’ve thought this too but our edge and WR positions hold us back coupled with an offensive minded HC that doesn’t know how to manufacture any points. I do think a few additions and one major subtraction makes this a competitive team. I hope Amy lets borgs and brinker run the team and keeps her mitts out of it for Wards entire career going forward

  14. The problem with this team is that it simply does not get better over the course or the game. Any team that can keep it remotely close after the half will absolutely boatrace us beyond the middle of the third, because the defense is gassed.

  15. Honestly I want the Titans to be competitive but still lose. Fire callahan, get the number one pick, get a good coach and and have a great draft and big off season. I don’t think they’re that far
