I know they’re uh man, they’re just destroying the the Dolphins, but I’ll tell you right now, the Miami Dolphins, they may be the worst team in football. They may be the worst team in football. You know, I know people get on Jared Stillman, and shout out to him. He’s got his own YouTube channel now and he joined 440 Sports. But I remember Jared Stillman going on and on and on the offseason about how the the Dolphins are tanking uh for the number one pick. And honestly, at this point in time, I mean, the Dolphins are a train wreck. Colts, give them applause, man. I’ll give them applause, but come on. Week one, Browns in the game versus the Bengals. Browns are awful, too. They got a good defense. They just missed the kick. Uh yikes. Or is that the extra point? Whatever. They missed it. Dude wipes. Yeah, dude wipes to the right. And um it’s 1716 with 355. That is why I have the Tennessee Titans winning today. Call me crazy, call me a homer, call me an idiot, call me a This is the one game the Tennessee Titans will be the healthiest. And I am not really big on the defense this year. I know some of you are more optimistic than me on defense, but offensively, I think they’re going to go in with a game plan. They’re going to be super conservative with Cam Ward. They’re not going to let him throw it all over the yard. And when Cam Ward’s got a third and three, then Cam Ward’s going to do his thing. And ultimately, this team’s going to win a lowcoring game. Give me the Titans 20, give me the Broncos 17. And the Titans are going 1 and0. And the the whole thing tomorrow, as we know as Titan fans, will not be about, hey, could Cam Ward and the Titans be a shocking development? No, no, no, no. It’s going to be are the Broncos overrated? What did the Broncos do that, you know, they lost this game? And is it going to be Broncos and Broncos and Bo Knicks is going to be the sophomore slump? His trade card value is going to go way down. That’s what we’re getting at. But you know what? I’m going to enjoy every single moment because Cam Ward is about ready to take the field for the very first time as a Tennessee Titan. So, let’s just get to your comments, shall we? They played a great half in playoffs, right? They did great half and then they got trounced. They got ran all over at the end of the year. Usually, it’s not easy to play there in the mile high. Okay, I get it. I understand all those things, but we’re not talking about, you know, um, Super Bowl favorites here. I mean, there’s a lot of people that guy should have caught the ball. So, totally not. Flaccos Tilman got him on my fantasy team. So, me and the producer are fantasy teams and the Titan Upload Network’s just a disaster. Anytime you got uh Smith and AJ Brown and they got Herz and Herz doesn’t throw any touchdown passes, but he runs two in. You know how my uh fantasy football thing is going. Not very good. So, I don’t even care. That’s why I don’t usually do fantasy. So, I’m not going to get all worked up. But again, Denver, we’ll see how they we’ll see how they are. They’re good. And you got the Raiders who just won today again against New England as that one’s about ready to go final. So, that’s what you got Titanwise. Yeah. nothing to write home about. Did they fix the offensive line enough? We’ll see. Lines take time. They don’t just come together in 2019. It took about after um Lean got back from his PD use. It took a it took a while. I would say what sixth, seven, eighth week of the season. Then it started to start to cook a little bit. This team still ended up losing to the Panthers, by the way, who that was an all-time low, but they came back from it and they made a great playoff front. But again, offensive lines take time. And then on the flip side, Ben couldn’t believe our defense wasn’t really that good because when he sees the stats, just like everybody else, and they’re not Titan fans, they’re like, “Oh my gosh, they have the second ranked defense in the NFL last year. And you guys know as Titan fans, were we the second ranked defense last year the end of the year? Were we second ranked statwise? Yes. But come on. Come on. And then our other good play was a 50ard field goal, which is 50 yards even in the mile high. I’m going to take that as a positive. Dumb plays can come across the board. Dumb penalties. It could be giving up a sack, a guy dropping a ball, somebody throwing an interception that’s legitimately a dumb interception. I mean, I get it. If it’s tipped up in the air, I’m not going to give that a dumb. Refs. We kind of debated that. I don’t know. You guys can let me know in the chat if you think Dumb should come in with refs, but we usually try to keep these dumb plays centered around the Titans. And no offense, I don’t think the refs should be able to impact the Titans dumbness when it comes to dumb plays. But hey, we’re not getting shut out today, folks. But if you work hard, you do got some guys who can make plays and you can like this is why I picked the Titans to win this game. You play games like this and you sneak a few of these in there and now all of a sudden, you know, you’re getting to December and you’re you’re still in the hunt. You may not be like, you know, the number one seed or you may not be the the front runner in your division, but you’re in the playoff hunt. You’re in the the five to seven category and you’re like, “Wow, with this team, I’ll take that.” And again, Jeffrey Simmons played one whale of a first half. Cam Ward, thank you, producer. uh 15. It’s not that big.” It is a big deal because your defense has been playing very well and that kind of stuff last year would have sank this team. And that from that point on that really hurt. That gave Denver their first touchdown. And that made Denver feel good about themselves. Okay. Or Yeah. He’s going up against the starting corners. Never mind. He’s going up against the starting defense, I should say, for practice squad. Uh, how much has Levis’s decline was on Calpin? There’s not been one quarterback that’s shown great things with Cali as a head coach. Rudolph was terrible. Brought back by the Steelers. They didn’t think he was that bad. You played the game conservative and I 100% still support it because I thought that’s how and that’s why I picked the Titans to win cuz that’s legitimately probably the only way you were going to win. I mean, let’s be honest, look at the offense now that they’re throwing it. I mean, okay, it’s been a disaster. Offensive line shows glaring holes. Ridley can’t catch the ball. other guys can’t get open. Cam Ward running for his line. Like, you’re getting to see what that would have looked like if we would have went from that from the beginning. But why did you think you could do that with 40 seconds to go on your own five yard line when you’re up six to three and you’re ready to go into halftime? Yeah, let’s just throw it all over the yard. Cam Ward should have had two safeties on that play. Like that’s where I get my my mind gets blown and I’m like that’s dumb stuff. And yeah, I the refs were bad. The refs were bad. The defense played great. Special teams great. Offense, I mean I agree with Joey. Like we knew it was going to take time, but that’s why we did the conservative approach. But they not doing Cam Ward no favors. by play calling, by guys can’t get open. You let Nick Westbrook A, which, no offense, didn’t really beat a lot of man-on-man coverage, but he could score touchdowns. He could get open down the field for big time plays. He would make himself available, and you let him go for what, five or six million dollars? Yeah. Yeah. You couldn’t bring him back. Okay. Who’d you replace him with? Alec Imanor. Fine. I’m nothing against Alec Manor, but he’s not ready to be a legitimate starter NFL wide receiver right now. And if you guys think he is, I I don’t know what else to tell you, man. I don’t know what else. He’s not the reason why we’re losing the game. Calvin really supposed to be a number one. He can’t even catch the ball. Nice job by Brownley Jr. I’m I’m not going to stop the ups and but Brownley Jr.’s hurt now. But that that’s you’re going to get that. I I told you that from the jump. This was the only game healthy defensive wise. The style of defense, how much the defense has to stay on the field and how much you have to bail out the offense. Eventually, we’re going to drop like flies on defense and this is going to be a long road. It just was it hard to maybe I don’t know take Luther Burden in the second round? Was it Was it that hard to give Cam Ward a legitimate possible number one wide receiver eventually? Was it that hard? No, we we did it the whole like thing. Like, yeah, we’ll we’ll take this guy in the fourth round. I mean, again, it’s fine. I I’m not like complaining about it, but again, that stuff takes time. How many fourth and fifth round wide receivers just step right in or AJ Brown from day one? I mean, we took a guy number 16 a few years ago in the first round and Treyen Burks basically here’s what we did. When when you guys get on me about, oh, you can’t trade for Mike Parsons. You can’t do that. You’re you’re not ready for that right now. That’s fine. We can have an argument there. But my point is this. You traded AJ Brown and a first round pick for nothing. Nothing. Let me play this back. You traded AJ Brown and a firstround pick for nothing. Trailing Burks was the first round pick that you got you gave up to pick him and he didn’t do nothing and you got nothing in return. That’s why franchises in our shape, which have flat out stunk the last couple years and didn’t make great decisions, you when you get an opportunity to take a guy that legitimately, you know, you can count on, then I think you need to do it. So again, some of you are like, “Well, Terry McLaren didn’t have a good game today.” That’s fine. You know, AJ Brown had one catch for eight yards. You wouldn’t trade for AJ Brown right now. So, we’ll see how that thing plays out. But that’s something I’m I’m keeping an eye on. I’m seeing, okay, at the end of the year, DK, if he’s a stud returner, it’s it’s worth it. But if DK or I maner, one of those guys got to produce by the end of the year. One of them have to be accounted for. Otherwise, it’s it’s a waste. It’s a waste, man. It’s a waste. How How does he help So, my question Paul Kaharski would ask the front office, how does he help Cam Ward today? What What What did Van Jefferson do to help Cam Ward? Because if it wasn’t for Van Jefferson, Alec Imanor wouldn’t be starting right now and I would not have had been on him the whole game. And again, I’m not a hater of Alec Manor from Stanford. I you just got to see like he’s not ready. He’s not ready. And again, he played hard and he did the things he needed to do and he learned from a mistake. I I applaud that. the one where he caught the ball, he was um you know a yard too short, but then he came back the next possession and ran around a yard deeper than the first down. And that that’s a plus. So that’s good. But when you’re talking about these guys getting open, like Calvin really got open, he just can’t catch. I mean, that’s what it is. How many interceptions did Cam Ward throw? Answer, zero. Cam Ward, actually, Will Evans didn’t give the receivers an opportunity to drop the ball because he didn’t get him there. He got him to the other team instead. So you like get it, but common sense. Watch the two games. Watch the Bears game. Watch this game. You’ll see it. Gary, same as last year. Defense keeps us close. Yep. And I think a lot of that is it’s going to be coaching. A lot of it’s going to be coaching. So again, Holmes upload. I was shocked how close the game was. What’s the Titans main issue? It’s a great question. Get a shout out for that. Um, I wasn’t shocked. It was close because of the conservative game plan and they got turnovers which should have been enough to win it, but at the end of the day, the offensive line was terrible. Um, they faced a lot of pressure, got gassed at the end, couldn’t run the ball, uh, for the most part. I know Pard put up over 50, but that ain’t going to do it. And then at the end of the day, like they couldn’t they couldn’t get they could not catch the ball. Certain guys couldn’t get open and maybe it was just play calling and that ended up and and I will say the despise of the Titans came at the end of the first half when they played a great game and they decided they were going to throw it all over the yard. So that Justin, that’s a good point. Uh, should we have chose a different team to temporarily support? Not the Texans. O line was terrible. O line is way better than last year. O line was bad. It was bad. They in the beginning in the game and and I think to be honest, Johnny, they were they were okay in the beginning and I think they just got gassed and that was part of the reason why they were bad. But like JC Laam again, when you run a conservative effort and you’re going to get the ball out quick or you’re going to run the ball like this is why I would grade the O line. They really never solidified themselves at the line of scrimmage. Denver definitely won that battle. And maybe you could say they were just overmatched and that’s fine. But as the game progressed, they couldn’t give Cam Ward any time to throw. Cam Ward was running for his life. Even when Cam Ward did make something special happen to Calvin Ridley for 22 yards and he ended up getting wide open and actually caught the ball, it was Cam Ward who had to back up all the way in the end zone and wait 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage before he was going to throw the ball. The offensive line just gave no time and the receivers couldn’t get open and it it’s a disaster. And now Laam’s hurt. I don’t know the extent of it, but he couldn’t finish the game. And then you had your left tackle who gave up some sacks, gave up some key penalties. Those are some things that really hiccup this team last year and it happened again. So again, I get it. The the interior Zeitler some I mean they they weren’t super noticeable at this point. Denver’s a really good defense, but Johnny, this is what I was saying. I said it to start the game. The offensive line, unlike any other position, needs time to develop together. Cushionberry was out most of the preseason. Zitler was out just because of maintenance. Then you had to switch from right left to right in Laam. So that took some time. Then Dan Moore had to come over and learn a new offense. The only staple in the offensive line that was consistent, who by all accounts, I will see is great on Pro Football Focus is Peter Scransky, and that guy should be literally slamming the door close to being second team allpro, or at least a pro bowler at this point for where he was drafted. Offensive line, go back to 2019. Lean misses the first four games. Um they brought over Roger Stafold from the Rams who was really good guard. It took I don’t know con like Conklin right it took them a good amount of time to get going but once they did it it was it was awesome. It was magic. I’m hoping that happens with this offensive line. What coaches out there would you like to see coach our team? I at this point I don’t even have a comment on there. Um, Al, I just hope they don’t let Callahan run the team into the ground before it’s too late. And and the conservative game I think helped Cam Ward to a degree, but I think Cam Ward, the receivers let him down a lot. I mean, you can’t get on Cam Ward for having 12 pass attempts and completing six of them at that point or seven. But then there was a point where he got up to 17. He I mean that that that was an issue. He did eventually um I think he only maybe cost us one because we end up getting the second one back because of sweat. But um yeah, I mean the Sly made all his field goals. Special teams I thought played well. The defense in general played very well. They just ran out of gas late. Uh JYM Bao says zero TDs fine from Ward. He threw no picks. That’s an improvement from Levis. But again, they didn’t really give him an opportunity to throw the ball in the red zone. Uh Kenyon, I’m not mad at the O line, the play calling, and that that possibly could be it. I mean, saw what I saw with some of the offensive line. Not the greatest at times, but you’re right. If you know you’re getting a lot of heat and they’re sending a lot of pressure, put them in positions. Run a screen. How many screens did we run tonight?
