We all saw what happened last night…
Last in, first out were the Cincinnati Reds
So, what do they need to do this offseason?
Well I am here to give you dream scenarios, realistic scenarios, & what will probably happen.
So how did I do? Who would you like to see in the lineup + bullpen come 2026?

Some decent points in there. Agree on Lowe as a potential target, and that Tampa will pick up his option so he would need to be via trade.
You go a lot into signings and then touch on trades as another option. I feel like its the opposite. Any big pieces they go after woukd be via trade, and signings would be for bullpen pieces or depth in the lineup.
Agree that Baltimore is a good trade partner. I’d add Arizona, Atlanta, and Sacramento as other teams that would match well. Padres if the Reds move Stephenson this offseason, which I think is bette than a 50/50 shot.
Just as organizational depth is settling in (Burns, Stewart, Benson, Marte all filling in gaps at key times) we are getting a sense for how that feels. It’s nice to finish healthy.
They just need to add talent to this core.
So, I like the ideas centering on free agency.
With Brantley’s comments, I wonder who among Greene, Lodolo, Steer, and McClain are they tired of dealing with injuries…could they be on the trading block?
I think Lodolo is the clear choice. Injured all the time, topped 150 innings, filthy stuff, not fully available at the end, 2 years of control…see if someone overpays.
With Greene, you’re crazy to consider it but if the return is a top 3 prospect and more, they have enough pitching to use and rebalance the roster.
no one is untouchable besides stewart and probably abbott…edlc could get healthy and light up the world again or have nagging injuries and porous defense continue
I would like to see barlow on this team. He was lights out all year and reliable
They have to find a way to replace Pagan. That guy had a great year.
