Calgary Flames vs. Winnipeg Jets – Game Highlights
[Applause] Thankfully getting closer and closer as Baron will start the game at center with Nita Ryder and Ayafal and away we go. Weaguer sending it in and Halabuk will knock that one down. Then I did after arriving in the trade from Nashville. He said obviously having a summer to get settled meant a lot as we wait the game’s first goal. Perk will push it in behind the goal. Farabe Shen lost his stick. Clap centering pass. They score. Caden pass with Cadry makes it one- nothing Calgary a goalender because you’re looking in your rearview mirror and the puck comes right from behind the net. So Hella, you can see looking shoulder checking and right there a little backhand pass to Cadri. And this is a beautiful one. A little bit too loose. And I talked about Winnipeg Jets hockey. This is the stuff that they’ll look to clean up where those are doors that usually typically get slammed shut. There’s no play to be had on the strong side. That’ll be part of his calling card if he’s to stick. Stolen by Kevky. Cole Key right in shot. Rebound that’ll come back to Flurry with a drive and kicked away by Wolf. Good persistence by the fourth line of the Jets. Pearson had 12 goals last year. Keepy had 10. They should be able to score a little bit more. I think all in all they’ll be harder to play against. My first. Here’s a chance in front. They score. Bron and the 19-year-old makes it two nothing. [Applause] The rookie of the year in the Quebec Junior Hockey League last year. 36 goals in 56 games. The kid has got some skill. 28th overall in 2024. And he’s being given an opportunity here. A youngster, but he’s got great hands. Playmaking ability. Frost. That’ll come back to the line. And stepping around ball is Perfetti. He is shoved down. They get it back. Loose in front and just rolled wide by Nomestic. Two nothing and goals from Cadri and Griden. Now driving is Morgan Baron. Sneeze on the feet. Centering pass and a stop by Wolfe. Now Shen with a shot that’s blocked. Jets have had some looks. Flurry settles that puck. Baron up high now. Buck for Flurry. Good pass. A foul. Knocked away. Shen pokes that to the side of the net three times in the regular season. Couple of times uh later this month and then next month and that’ll be it. Pearson centering pass finds his way to Flurry. Shot. He scores. Flurry with a zinger and the Flames lead is cut in half. It’s two to one. Dan, this is the second line or the second shift of this period where the fourth line for the Jets have dominated from the forche from Pier from Pearson and Keepy creates the turnover and then watch the puck as it gets to the net from Flurry. It has to go through two different forwards. There’s Parker Ford and there is Kevky once again with the Calgary Flames and certainly turning heads in this one. Flames win the draw. Hanley got it back from Weager. Wrist shot scores. [Music] Joel Hanley with a shot inside the blue line and it’s three to one Calgary. This would normally be a a lane that would be closed down not once but twice. A little DD pass and you can just see how everybody’s just a little bit late to their assignments. Three guys eventually get into the shot lane, but nobody’s in the lane on while the puck is on route to Hella. And I think that I’m not sure that he sees the puck fully as it gets close to him. The traffic in front was enough to fool Hell. The road for 13 days. He’ll play six games. That’ll be a test. But a condensed schedule for everyone this year and Olympic season of course. So everybody’s going to have to deal with that sort of thing. The pass for Nomesticov. He got spun around trying to play it. Things opening up now. Here comes Cadry. Clapka racing to the net. Nasam Cadry tease it up. Gets it back. Scores. Cadry with his second. It’s four to one Calgary. Defensively, it it’s not it’s offensively and that is not what the Jets do. So, you don’t make a play in the net. You try to feather a little powder pass on the back hand. And now you’ve got your teammates in attack mode. And what are the other team doing? Well, they’re coming right back at you and you’re caught. You’ve got your Dmen up the ice. You got It’s hard to believe for me some in some ways that it’s his 10th season in the NHL and that has gone by in a blink. 47 goals careerhigh for him a few years ago, of course. Shin hammers it. Booker save rebound. They score. Nyquist right on the go mount and it’s four to two. Yeah, that that’s a little bit more like it where it’s just simplicity in the game. Win a face off, shoot a punt in pad from Nyquist who’s got his toes pointing right to the net. Look at the way that he wins that battle against Kevin Ball. Much bigger in size with a shifty little spin move from Nyquist right here. Both take them one way, spin the other way, and that opens up his stick. a rebound looking to keep it away from Valardi and is able to get it ahead but the Jets will bring it right back in with Shley going to the net. Valardi Shley in stopped by Wolf and he’s able to squeeze it with Nyquis coming along. Flames get control and Hanley will rip that around. There’s Stanley paired with Punk right now trying to find it in traffic. This is Flurry playing a bouncing puck. ball. Didn’t play that so cleanly. Knocked down low. Nyquist. Good pass. I set it up and Ayafo scores. What a feed from Gus Nyquist. And it’s a onegoal game. Veteran move as he grabs this puck. A little cycle and a pinch from Nomesticov right there. That’s just brilliant out to Falo. And a nice job from Al to recognize, okay, this could be a play. A lot of guys would have probably gone to the other side of the net. And I wanted it and he got it. That’s fancy work on the back hand from Nyquist with a goal now an assist. Flurry bags it ahead. Ford will skate into it. Net drive by Morgan Baron and he missed it. Ford had to sail that one through that shot score. That hit forward in front and this game is tied. A didn’t sit flat for Morgan Baron right here. Pounces over Morgan Baron’s stick and then the shot. This one goes right off of the crest of Parker Ford who goes straight to the net. You talk about Ford tough. That’s it right there from number 25. Nice little pass and then a shot from the point off of the chest of Ford. Flames maybe with time for a chance. This is Sharon Govich. Fired it wildly and this game will go to overtime. Another point up for grabs. Both teams would love to finish the exhibition schedule with the win, but the Flames start with the puck. Excellent stuff from number 13 in white. Peock just over the boards. Neil Pock drives to the net. Denied by Wolf. He got it back up top. It goes to Nestikov about loading up for the big shot. They’ve got to get it away soon. Pock tried to filter it through. And we will go to a shootout. [Applause] So Morgan Frost will take the first opportunity. 14 goals last year overall between Philadelphia and Calgary. He slows Frost. Bring it just grazed the goal post with that shot. Dustin Kirkland with a chance to get on the board here for the Flames. Kirkland scores. [Music] Kirkland beats Hob this one in the past. And the lefty starts on the left side and just drags it. Poe drags across the crease and finds the top corner. Shley Valardi to the slot scores. Oh man, fancy work with the hands. It’s just amazing to me what this man can do when there’s pressure. Nyquist takes it wide as well. Nyquist stopped by Wolf. This man will try and put a close to this game. Nino need a rider up the middle. Need a rider staggered a bit to the back hand. Didn’t get the shot away that he wanted. I think he was representing shot and hoping that one was going to fist. Watch here again as he pretends he’s pulling it. Huh? Maybe not. I think put the flames back ahead. He’ll speed in. Cadri waits and he skated himself out of the angle. Who says goalies aren’t good skaters? is concerned with fronting this puck and he has to travel a long way. Look at the push, the double p looking for the win here. Pearson stopped by Wolf. No, it’s in. That is in. And Pearson with a crazy shootout goal has won it for Winnipeg. Oh boy. Pearson the seventh shooter in this shootout. shot, the save on the blocker, and then Wolfe thinks he’s just going to catch this with his glove and he ends up knocking it back into his own net. How about that? Might have been better off just to let it go. He kind of looked around as if to say, “What just happened here?” Well, you can rest on the fact that it’s just preseason, but nonetheless, that is a freaky win. starts. Freaky goal against from Dustin Wolf.

Amazing ending for the Winnipeg jets 😂 We got lucky 9:13
holy comeback
In the preseason allowing a winning goal like that is funny, in the regular season it's frustrating, in the playoffs it's devastating. Hahahaha! Gotta love the preseason.
Who wants the hot potato? 😀
could the jets move move slower
The shootout goal winner may be in the highlights of the year! Lolz!
