Honestly a great interview between Kevin Byard and Tyrique Stevenson. Hail Mary part starts at 24:04.
Lot of respect for how Tyrique took that moment and is trying to grow from it. Looking forward to a bounce back revenge game from him next week.

A player can mess up a hundred times, but if they get up and shake off the dust and work on getting better after each fall, I’ll always have their back. Hope Tyrique pops off next weekend
Sounds like the defense has a whole lot of confidence recently and im liking it. Hope to see stevenson keep balling especilly against washington.
It may seem silly to Commanders fans and the typical NFL fan, but this is probably one of the biggest, if not THE biggest game on the schedule for this team to prove to themselves and others that the ship has truly changed directions.
Huge culture game coming up
That was about as perfect of a response as he could have. TLDR: He basically said the only way he won’t be remembered for the Hail Mary is to become an All Pro and have a career thats bigger and better than that game was bad, and he’s probably right.
Anybody that is not 100% turnt for this game needs to be left in WAS. We all noticed Ben didn’t get angry at DET for scoring a TD and hanging 50 on us earlier this year — and that should be because he is planning to do that to other teams. WAS should be one of those teams. I want to see Marcus Mariota in the 4th quarter bc the game is effectively over.
It was a stupid mistake by Tyrique but Im glad hes using it as motivation to get better. His last 2 games have been amazing and I hope he can keep it up.
Love to see this from these guys. Evidence of a good team culture
I never got off the Tyrique wagon, he’s a good CB2 and is playing with a purpose right now. Good for him.
At training camp this year, we were standing by the fence that blocked off the path the players took to and from practice.
As Tyrique was walking by, some jackass made a comment to him about the Washington play, likely trying to get a laugh from the crowd. Tyrique immediately pivoted off his path and directly toward the fan on the fenceline saying “say that shit again, what’d you say?”
I’ve never seen a grown man cower and run away as quickly as that dumbass did when Tyrique went his way. I don’t blame him for snapping that day, especially when you feel like you should be in a more supportive environment with fans at training camp.
Anyway long post to say fuck that fan and hope Stevenson gets a major redemption opportunity next Monday in the national spotlight
Good for him. I’m still not his biggest fan, but he’s had some results early this year that show the work he’s put in.
Damnit. Fine. I said I wouldn’t forgive the play until he put it together all season, but he has spoken like he has the perfect mindset about it now. Especially given that this is in no way a prepared answer.
Dude won me back. Sounds like he has undergone a huge attitude change, and that was my biggest issue with him.
I’m here for the Stevenaissance.
He really owned that fuck up and his response here is all I need to hear. Very excited to see the rest of his season now.
This is the first time I’ve actually heard him talk more then 90 seconds and damn, Tyrique really seems like a good dude. Smart, well spoken, emotionally intelligent. Dude deserves his redemption
