Arraez was great in ’24 and he had a real down year this year. He’s still a very good player but Shildt really should have dropped him down lower in the order a lot sooner, he just didn’t fit the profile of what a 2-hole hitter needs to be, especially in a lineup that was already short on slugging.
I’ll give him credit for working hard to be at least a decent defensive 1b, unlike that turd Hosmer.
I love this dude and I know he gets a lot of hate, but I did appreciate many aspects of what he brought to the team. It’s probably best to replace him but I’m definitely gonna follow his adventures where ever he goes
This is how I found out? What the fuck.
I love him so much. Gonna miss him. He felt like the perfect Padre. Super good at like one thing, goofy, had fun. Such a splash when we got him.
I think the title is BS. He is a free agent. He is even open to the possibility of staying in SD. Good chance he will go but nothing is determined yet. Whoever made that headline is just straight lying to get clicks.
Even if arraez struggled over here, he gave it his all and he always had a good attitude.

I thought he said something like “I can’t think about it right now”
Thank god. Most overpaid player on our team by far
Arraez made his thoughts crystal clear when asked if he wanted to remain with the team. His reply was:
“100% yes.”
So I finally shelled out for MLBTV last year. Tired of trying to catch games on random packages. First game I saw was his debut.
YES
I truly think his slightly down year is making people forget how impactful he was as a padres. The season we made the trade for him, he truly helped the rest of the lineup with discipline and confidence at the plate by setting a great example. Padres were playing lazy ball before he joined and really helped this team gel. He’s being dismissed, but truly believe this is gonna have a big impact on our team next year. Really hope we don’t go back to those lazy slumping seasons where we struggle to reach .500. So many other guys I’d rather cut before letting Arraez go

Damn I wonder what cease is even going to be worth not being able to throw past 4 innings
Here is the exact same outlet coming to the opposite conclusion and using a different segment of his words.
