Kyler Murray Postgame Media | Week 4 vs Seahawks | AZ Cardinals
You guys had 107 yards of offense at halftime, 138 by the end of the third quarter. What What is it that’s taking the offense so long to kind of get here? Good. Oh. Uh yeah. No. Um yeah, we were not uh was not it wasn’t clicking. It was not clicking. Um you know, pretty pretty much getting physically dominated uh whole first half. Um, and you know, it’s frustrating like cuz you watch the defense go out there and get stop after stop after stop and offensively just like we just couldn’t get it going, you know, couldn’t get it going. Uh, credit to their defense. Um, but we got to make we just got to make more plays. We got to we got to got to show up, be ready to go, you know what I mean? It’s it’s uh it’s like we’re just it’s loading, you know what I mean? And it it’s taking too long. You know, obviously that the resilience of the team is is you love to see it and you feel like give yourself a chance to win the game at the end. Um but it’s it’s just too late. Throughout throughout the night with Marv, how did it kind of develop? The first half looked like there were a lot of struggles, miscommunication. What what kind of clicked for the two of you in the second half, fourth quarter specific? Oh, first half. Um, you know, he just he just he dro he dropped the ball like there’s nothing, you know, I I’ve seen Marv catch that ball like a hund times. I’m not I’m not Again, I told y’all throughout the week I wasn’t worried about it. Um, continue continued to go to him obviously and he came up clutch in the stretch. Um, you know, that’s part of football. That’s part of football. I got I got the utmost confidence in Marv. I will continue to have the confidence in Marv. Um we just got to go back to the drawing boys and be better. You know, we got to be better. Um he knows that. I know that whole offense understands that uh that we got to start faster and give and play better complimentary football cuz right now it’s just it’s, you know, it’s it’s too all over the place and it’s not it’s not good enough. um having put four quarters together as a unit, you know, to go out there and dominate and um you see the flashes, but like like I said, it’s just margin for error just is so so small. So, uh we got to be better. I know all losses are going to sting. Is there any No, I know you mean you know feel good that we came back. Well, no. I was I was actually going to ask like the way you guys have lost the last two weeks. I mean, it was felt like it was right there and and it’s not. Um, yeah. I mean, again, I’m optimistic, though. I’m optimistic, you know, and I, um, I know what we have in that locker room and I know the guys that we got in that locker room and what type of players we have, um, coaches, everybody, you know, I know people think the world’s ending, but, you know, uh, it’s not. It’s not. Um, we got to go back to work and be better. What What clicked in the fourth quarter for you guys? What kind of I think we just got into a groove. Got into a groove. I think Drew got into a rhythm uh calling it. Um, and we made plays. We made plays for him, you know. Uh, it’s it’s really a tale of two halves, you know. You feel you just feel like terrible whole first half and then uh you just keep fighting, keep fighting because you know it’s it’s going to hit at some point. it’s going to hit at some point and guys believed in that and um you know we just continue to fight um and you know in the fourth quarter it clicked but like again I said uh it’s too late. Coach talked about the six sacks and how tough that is to get behind the sticks early on first and second down. Third down is okay that’s going to happen but first and second down sacks are tough. That that’s tough. And then you know it feels like this season you know every time we get past 50 we’ve kind of shot ourselves in the foot with a penalty. Um, and then you’re looking at it’s just drive killers. You drive killers and uh we get one good play going and then right back, you know, second and 18. It’s just like, you know, it’s just shooting ourselves in the foot. It just can’t happen. You want to be good offense, it can’t happen. Marv’s first catch of the second half was that toeteing one on the sideline. Could you see a level of confidence shift for him after that play? Um, yeah. I mean, I just think Marv expects so much from himself, you know, he expects so much. Um, so I mean, even even that singular play is just not not to his, you know what I’m saying? like it’s not to his standard obviously uh as an individual. You know, he drops the ball, it’s interception, right? And I’m sure that’s lingering in his mind or whatever it is. Um but I I love the way that he fought back and continue to play hard and continue to make plays. You know, obviously he’s probably going to go home thinking about that. But like, you know, at the end of the day, again, it’s football. We all make mistakes, but uh he continued to battle. I’m excited. You know, I’m excited and I’m glad that he continued to uh he played his ass off in fourth quarter, you know, continue to when he got man, he made the plays. Uh the touchdown catch was amazing catch, you know. So, um, again, I I got the utmost confidence in him and I think, you know, he he he should he should have it as well, you know. You bet. You always say that that you have the confidence in him no matter what. That seemed like a difficult moment to have the confidence in him in the first half after the interception. What that moment gave you the ability to keep going back to him. I need him. You know what I’m saying? He needs me. I need him. You know, this is a team sport. Um, four quarter game, you know, and I understand like he’s not coming out of the game. You know what I’m saying? I’m not I don’t want him to come out of the game. So, hey, we got to get this going, you know. Um, and that that’s really just what it is. It’s, you know, just conversations on the sideline. Uh, keeping his confidence up. Uh, and again, the other receivers and everybody around them, you know, uh, we all we all were all in it together. You guys threw the ball 41 times, ran it 17 times. Why the disparity in that, you think? Uh, just, you know, they they they were that’s a good defense over there, right? And they um they did a good job stopping the run. Um, and that that was just that that was how the game went. Is it part of it playing from behind? Just passing the ball. Yeah. I mean, yeah, when you get in those positions, you know, it’s tough to you drive the field. You can’t, you know, you’d like to put the ball in the quarterback’s hands and try to create some explosives in that way. Um, but it’s tough. It’s tough when you get behind like that and you you got to, you know, they can pin their ears back, play coverage and and and those sorts of things, you know. So, uh, it’s definitely tough. Was your long run a quarterback draw? Was that playing? No, no, that was a scramble. Yeah. On the first on the first pick, a little bit more slow down a little bit. On the second pick, you bobbled it. Then you had the miscommunication. What do you What do you tell them after plays like that? Well, again, I mean, happens, right? Uh um it’s football, man. It’s football again. And uh we can’t, you know, can we dwell on it? No, we can’t cuz we got another play, you know? We got we got to continue to play. Got to continue to execute. And you know, is it frustrating in the moment? Of course. Of course. But, uh, at the end of the day, you know, we just lost on a field goal. None of that happens if we’re sitting there and complaining about the previous plays. That’s just how it goes. You know, we got to continue to move on uh and play the game. How do you explain that the miscommunications are still happening? How why Well, the the the third one, the one that I threw to the flat and he was running, that was just, you know, the defense was all out of sorts. So, um I don’t want to get in too deep, you know, concept stuff like that, but that’s um you know, we were hurry up and they were out of sorts and it just, you know, if the defense does this, we do this. It just it was kind of messed up right there. But uh that’s all me for

Honestly spoken like a true leader though
They keep trying to get him to reveal the truth of the misfires when they know that the only answer he can give as the leader is to take the blame, true or not.
Been a fan since Tom tupa in 91 this team is 100% broken 90% falls on coach 10 on players !!! It’s clear what this team needs is a old school coach like coach whiz in the nfl somone out there young oc who has his team built on tough smart discipline football that’s what has been lost since he left .. miss Haley snd whiz more then ever they would tell players off when they needed to new coaches are soft then grandma cookies
Fire petzing
Please leave kyler.

I wish we had a healthy joe burrow at qb, kyler is cheeks
Kyler be honest with yourself. You are a great hs qb but you aren’t good enough for the NFL. Way to small and dumb
Ok, what ever they did that 4th quarter….keep doing that! No more conservative.
That's great leadership right there man… Kylers a great captain and leader. We just need a good OC and our wrs need to be more consistent catching the ball
“I need him” 🔥
Kyler and Marv will get better.
I Don't feel sorry for Kyler!
He is making 250 million for being average (at best)
So sad the Arizona Cardinals are supposed to represent us you can do a lot better you're better than that
Bout tired of this guy.over rated
K1 shows a lot of
Leadership in coming out to the podium!! Not sure why he doesn’t fire up his crew during the game like some other QB’s in the league?
Kyler is my QB and I really hope we hold onto him ❤ this team will crumble without him . Say what you want but he is the best thing we have going for us and that's not an understatement. This guy can lead us to a championship it's just gonna take the rest of the staff falling in line
"I need him" that was a real ass statement, I feel good about this team going forward, I think the 2025 Cardinals are going to shock some people
KM is built for Arena Football, not NFL..AZ needs to move on..I support the small man in sport but Russell Wilson is the smallest size that works in NFL..Next
