[Russini] I’m told that even before Tyreek Hill’s leg injury, he was never considered a real trade target in Kansas City. The Chiefs have a No. 1 receiver that they believe in: Rashee Rice.

It’s just too much money to do more than a one year deal, which he was not gonna take after the bag he’s used to from Miami
I never expected to trade for a receiver this year once it came out that worthy wouldn’t miss a lot of time. I also don’t expect to trade for a RB, I think the current room will be fine once rice is back and we have the WR group we’ve been trying to put on the field the last two years.
That’s interesting that Rice is still the WR1. I mean I don’t disagree, but I’m interested in what sort of events need to take place for Worthy to enter the conversation. Certainly his performance last week edges him closer.
Either way, I feel bad for bro I would have never thought tyreek go down like that
Top 10 all day.
And his clone in X Worthy.
Breaking news: water is wet
I never thought this was real. We don’t need receivers we need an O line. Also yes Big Red is all about second chances but that requires the person to be ready for one. Hill was still throwing fits on the sideline and had all kinds of problems in his personal life. If they were going to spend the kind of money he would have demanded we would have been able to get better elsewhere.
If there is any postion that needs to be traded for its edge
Rice was absolutely cooking before he got hurt. If he’s still at that level, we’ll be just fine. Add in Worthy and we will have bonified WR1&2.
We need a rb1 way more
That is good to hear. We didn’t need to bring in a 30+ old receiver with a bloated contract. The only reason we traded for Hopkins was because our receiver room literally died by week 4 last year and desperately needed talent.
Realistically why would they go and get an expensive WR when they have the best WR group in football. Sure they dont have a guy like JJettas or Chase but all of their WR will produce this year. Their WR6 even has 3 TDs already.
I mean duh.
It never made sense to go after a WR. They need a run game, and a faster pass rush. Maybe Brashard Smith gets worked in the running game more? Pacheco had a decent game against the banged up Ravens, but it appears his vision hasn’t gotten any better. Hunt has mostly delivered in short yardage. Maybe they think Gillotte and Lott provide the pass rushing juice? They can’t continue to live on cover 0. An excellent QB will burn them. All that to say I would not be surprised by a trade for a pass rusher or RB. I think it will depend on how well the next few weeks go.
Edge rusher and RB is what we need.
We got Thornton and he doesn’t come with any baggage right?
#noshit
WR was never the position that needed to be addressed, it’s clearly a lack of explosion and playmaking ability in the running back room… hello brashard smith
Also Tyreek cost roughly $919736827.24 against the cap but there is an out after this year. So maybe we sign him on a cheap 1 year deal once he’s healthy… not sure how much someone will give him somewhere else tho. That injury was brutal
RB is the biggest need for the offense, and they were able to work in all 3 last game and looked solid.
The offense is going to roll through Rice and Xavier though. Everyone else’s job will be easier once Rice gets back.
If we make a trade to improve, probably more likely it’s defense.
Rice, Worthy, Hollywood, Thorton and Kelce, do we seriously need another WR. Teams will have a hard enough time finding ways to guard these guys.
We never called about Hill. Achane on the other hand….
We have Rice coming back, Worthy is back, we have Thornton, Brown is healthy.
With the other receivers we can work into the mix we will have a great receiver room.
We need a running back at this point. But Smith can fill the role of change up back and makes another target in third downs.
You mean it was all just drama people created online? I never would have guessed
I mean. When fully stocked back from health and or suspension, the receiving room is mostly fine.
It’s the rb room that’s an out of despair and needs an upgrade.
Chiefs have 3 million and some change in cap space. Don’t hold your breathe on any kind of trade. Next year they go negative so expect some big names gone at the end of the season.
Modern media = Create narrative out of thin air, get clicks. Later confirm that the narrative was false the whole time, get clicks.
Trading for a wr would be a disservice to Rashee, dude looked primed to be a top 10 reciever imo before injury
I wasn’t buying the hype.
If Tyreek sucks than we don’t want him. If Tyreek is good then the asking price would be too high. lose/lose

Yeah, we are good on off weapons, thanks.
