  35. Valid take, but let’s be real, the Captain’s postseason track record speaks for itself. And this October’s looking like the same tired rerun. I’d rather see a clutch grand salami when it matters than a hollow double when the game’s already gone. Love Judge, but being captain means you carry the weight, especially after that disaster inning against the Dodgers last year. Sure, Baboone’s circus act in the dugout doesn’t help, but come on, we’re the New York fucking Yankees. The pinstripes used to mean something. The Core Four and the supporting cast played smart, situational baseball, and they won. Yes, the game has evolved since, but the fundamentals remain the same. Lately? This team couldn’t buy a timely hit if their season depended on it. Remember how electric it felt spanking Boston with actual clutch hitting the other night? Yeah, that’s the standard.

    the bases were loaded with him at bat, and he got too eager and swung himself out unnecessarily. that seemed like a perfect example of the pressure weighing on him too much, he was over-eager to go big (understandably ofc) but if he just Bellingere’d his way through things with more chill he still could’ve made a play there.

  44. At some point he’s going to have to deliver a big hit. And today it didn’t even need to be a hit. If he spits on ball 4 and it’s bases loaded no out I’ll bet they win the game. That was a bad swing at a horrendous pitch.

    He’s going to have more chances. Maybe even tomorrow. We need a big swing out of him.
