A lot of hoes only now “realizing” Being in the middle of a power struggle between the owner and the head coach and having Matt Patricia as your OC wasn’t the best thing for your career

I maintain he could’ve been better here if we actually worked to develop him and had an actual OL. We didn’t.
I also maintain that Drake Maye is way better ceiling-wise and wayyyyyyyyyy better personality wise as a franchise QB. We ended up with the right guy IMO.
The problem was that average DBs were pimps when you were under center, and were making you their hoes.

He’s limited in ability, but if Bill didn’t have Judge and fucking Patricia coach him his second year, this team probably looks a lot different.
I was always a fan of Mac. It wasn’t his fault. Our O line was trash. Look at the Bengals. Burrow has ll the weapons, but he has no time to let the play develop and he is getting murdered.
10/10 title but let’s not act like Mac Jones is incredible. He’s still a bad first string QB or good second string. He’s actually in a great position right now and probably where he should be. A good offensive coach with a great QB to backup. 49ers sitting pretty with Purdy and Jones as 1 and 2. Very similar to when we had Brady, Jimmy G and Brissett (which arguably was our best QB roster ever).

I’m happier that we now have Drake, but I’m also happy for Mac that he is having some time to shine now in San Francisco. The Patriots didn’t do him any favors development-wise because of where the team and coaches were, and Jacksonville is…Jacksonville. Overall, I’m happy we’re both happy.
I liked Mac, and thought (even with his limitations) he could be good here. The O-Line was atrocious, and for whatever reason, he never got any YAC here. The team was just *bad* and he got a lot of the blame.
That said, I still don’t think he’s that good, and will probably be a backup or spot starter for the rest of his career. He’s not bad, necessarily, but he’s definitely not great either.

I’ll give it to him – he played well. We shall all concede that he was not in a very good situation when he played for the Patriots. What I disliked about Mac was how he acted when things got tough for him. I lost respect for him even though I still recognized that he had lots of talent. He looks very good when the team around him is strong.
He was good with McDaniels. But Drake has a way highhhhher ceiling.
We fucked up this opportunity. He was good enough to get us to the playoffs in year 1. Belichick bringing in Patricia after McDaniels left was the first mistake. With that being said. Im happy we have maye and McDaniels.

I think Jones can excel but only in certain programs. He needs a structured offense. He was solid in McDaniels offense, shit years 2 and 3, bad with the Jaguars, now he’s playing great under Shanahan. Coincidence? I think not.
I really hate the situation we put Jones in his last two years here. He didn’t help himself either. I’m happy it’s worked out for us and him after all. We got Maye, Jones is balling in San Fran.
I’m rooting for him. I like to see QB the Patriots drafted do well, like Jimmy G and Brissett after they left.

Sorry but was i the only one that saw him fade over the course of the game and struggle with decision making when things got close. Mac deserved more than he got here but this isn’t yet his turnaround
