  1. I know it’s only one game, but fuck this was so much fun.

    Even more so after the Brewers put on a clinic themselves. Nice seeing the two top seeds who are getting heavily discounted by pundits come out and make a statement in game 1.

  6. Yankees will be harder to beat when their better starting pitchers come in, but belive the Jays can win the series.

  9. Don’t know why Boone was acting like this was bulletin board material. He’s an announcer and their announcer, Kay, was very critical about the Jays.

  10. The thing about the Yankees is they have the worst manager in baseball. Boone doesn’t know how to manage in-game. That roster is talented enough to win in spite of him. Their time is up.

  26. Yanks fan here, as I was walking out of Yankee stadium after game 1 against Sox, a Red Sox fan said “better luck next season” to me. Look what ended up happening to them.

  32. I’m a Yankees fan and games like today certainly give credence to that. But their record speaks otherwise. My issue with the team is that they are waaaaay too streaky. I would rather them be consistently good, not in spurts.

  33. When Buck said this, he was right. The Yankees also improved and played a lot better since then. Both things can be true.

  43. The only reason they’re here is that the Red Sox couldn’t even play high school caliber baseball in that series.
