Chiefs would instantly be SCARY with one of these RB’s…

So, the Chiefs should seriously consider trading for a running back, and here’s the two guys I would target. Now, I’m obviously not the GM here and don’t have any say, but we all know the running back room has lacked explosiveness, and both Pacheco and Kareem Hunt really can’t break tackles. Rashard Smith is starting to come into his own, and hopefully his snap counts increase. But, if I’m the Chiefs, there are two running backs I would target before the trade deadline if these teams keep losing with the first being Alvin Kamar of the New Orleans Saints. Kamara is about as old as Kareem Hunt, but this man can still move. He’s got great vision, ability to make people miss. He had a bunch of screen passes last year go for 20 or more yards. And that is what the Chiefs running back room is missing. It’s these plays that can go for 15, 20, 25 plus yards. Explosiveness. If the Chiefs did trade for Kamara, he wouldn’t cost as much as this second running back, but would leave behind $3 million in dead money in 2026 if the Chiefs decided to move on. Now, the second one is Bree Hall of the New York Jets. He’s much younger, 24 years old. The Chiefs could trade for him. You’d have to probably give up like a fourth round pick or so. You would then probably also have to extend him to a multi-year deal. But this man can fly and would be a dynamic playmaker for the Chiefs backfield. Back-to-back seasons of around 1500 yards from scrimmage, one was slightly under, eight touchdowns, a dual threat back that can fly. Plus, with guys like Jawan Taylor and probably Travis Kelce no longer being on the roster this next year, it’s going to save a bunch of money and you could afford to try and get an explosive playmaker in the back field.

  1. The run game isn't effective because before Worthy came back we couldn't stretch the field so teams loaded up the D-line. Now with Worthy stretching the field and when Rice comes back, watch the run game open up.

The Chiefs need a Full-Time Full-Back, which is what i would use Robert Tunyan for who is a closer build to a traditional athletic Full-Back and the T.E. from Clemson getting healthy and not Noah Gray. It you look at the data it is not that our RB's are worse is that when Michael Burton left the team and the Chiefs not having an actual Full-Back, which is when the Chiefs' Running Back production went down

I wish Hunt was still as explosive and had that ability to just stay on his feet and keep going forward like in his original stint with the team, his talent got wasted in Cleveland cause I mean who would be the same player after being cut from your team, getting stuck with one of the worst teams in the League and then having to watch what was your team go on to win 3 Super Bowls without you and also end up sitting on the couch for basically a season thinking you’re probably done and gonna retire.

    I understand he made his bed and he had to lay in it but at the same time looking at Rice now in comparison I feel Hunt was given a bit of a shitty deal.

  10. Idk man, I get where you're coming from. But I'd rather give Smith more of the playbook than bring in a 3rd old rb who doesn't have the same burst they used to. The man looked great last week and adds so much more to the way they want to play offense than anyone else will.

  11. I think Kamara would be a good pick up but i would think he’d want to be paid very well. So Hall would probably be a better pick up if he was an option.

  17. I don’t think the Chiefs have the money to sign either of them. And you don’t know that they won’t sign Kelce to another deal so I wouldn’t bet on that. Gonna just have to hope they get better at running the ball as the season goes on.

  19. I agree when the run game is poppin like when Kareem Pt.1 was here. They can have a good running game with the guys they have if up front is blocking. Use them to their strengths and we’ll be fine like last week. Mr. Smith is definitely the future! This dude is awesome! So Chiefs will be fine moving ahead bcuz we are about to fully become a speed team after this season. Gonna get a sample size coming this season with Smith, Thornton, Worthy and Rice. Noah Gray is gonna take over all Kelce routes, probably why we he’s not getting a bunch of targets like last season. I think he got so many last year to see if he’s ready for TE1. Let’s Go Chiefs!!!

  20. The Chief's issue isn't the RB, it's that nobody is gonna let KC get away with holds on every play anymore. The compromise to keep allowing any KC Linemen to get away with holding whenever Mahomes takes off is that ANY of the other dirty tricks KC got away with for the last 5 years like T's lining up offsides or holds on long runs/screen plays will be called.

  22. Justice Hill if there needs to be a move from our running backs this guy will be good for the pass offense and run offense. He's not going to be the top running back but he will be a pass offense running back.

  34. We literally do not have anything to offer to get these guys. Those picks need to go to shoring up key spots on the team. It's only been 4 games. The key is development.

  35. If you could get breece hall for a fourth rounder, you’d do it. The problem is to get that trade to happen for such a low value, you’d need to lower Hall’s madden rating enough that Woody Johnson’s son would want him gone
