  3. We won the game. 

    Stop inventing reasons to bitch about Tomlin. 

    And kicking a field goal meant the Vikings had to score a touchdown to beat us instead of a field goal to tie it and force overtime. We were lucky we were going against a depleted line and a backup qb barely two weeks into the job. 

    Some of you people citing analytics as a reason to go for it on 4th and one don’t know the first thing about statistics. 

  7. I thought our line is ass and we have no WR2?  And if they don’t convert, the Vikings only needed maybe 20 yards for a field goal. Then, you’d be bitching about how Tomlin doesn’t trust his highest paid defense yada yada

    Only a Steelers fan on reddit will still bitch about a win a full week later. 

  8. Goes for it on 4th and goal from the 3 with a dive up the middle…. Doesn’t go for it on 4th and inches on the opponents 40 when we’ve averaged like 6 yards a rush… Tomlin might be a genius is his own world

  10. Fans always bitch about a call when it doesn’t work. Don’t convert 4th and 1? YoU sHoUlD hAvE pUnTeD. Punted and the other team scored? YoU sHoUlD hAvE gOnE fOr It.

    I have NEVER seen a fan base bitch so much about a call THAT WORKED. Get a life and enjoy being 3-1. You’re literally complaining about winning.

I wasn’t a fan of this decision but it legitimately did pay off. 4th and 1s aren’t a guarantee for us, and they would’ve had excellent field position only needing a field goal to tie if we failed to convert. Mike Tomlin chose to stake the game on the side of the ball that’s been carrying us for years.
