Map of each NHL team’s all-time leading scorers’ (regular season) birthplaces

  1. Man, Saskatchewan just our there dominating.

I also love that Calgary’s best goal scorer was from Edmonton.

  2. Next stop Laval, Quebec… oh how do you spell second round.. had to add a great call from Rick Jenerett for Gilbert #11

  3. For the Canucks the map is accurate for the top 3 scorers. The Sedins and Naslund are all from Ornskoldsvik.

  4. Shane Doan was the Phoenix Coyotes’ all-time points leader, Scheifele is going to surpass ATL-WPG all-time points leader Blake Wheeler in a couple months, and Jamie Benn is 105 points behind Mike Modano in points scored as a Dallas Star (discounting Modano’s North Stars points).

Doan: Halkirk, Alberta; Scheifele: Kitchener; Benn: Victoria, BC.

  5. Utah has not played a single reason season game, I don’t know how they are on the list. Is it just the average location of all their players with 0 regular season goals?

  6. Damn, that west coast to east coast switch is gonna be a hell of a distance when Nate passes Joe.

  7. Put this in a single image and send it over to /r/mapcifclejerk I think they’ll like it.

  8. Tsé quand il y en a 7 de québec pis juste 5 de l’ontario. On sait c’est qui les meilleurs a c’t heure
    De rien Bettman

  9. Mad respect to Sask, but Sault Ste. Marie more than pulls its own weight in Ontario. Francis, Dubas, Maurice, Blashill (yes, I’m counting Sault Michigan) all making their mark right now. Going back, the Espositos and the Nolans obviously the biggest names.

Much like Saskatchewan, tough places make tough players.

  10. I can’t believe I spaced on Boston. I thought Bucyk was their leader. Then I see Montreal on the map and I’m like “surely it’s not Bergeron?”

Jesus, does Ray Bourque ever have a lot of points (13th all-time!)
