  1. Started him in fantasy. Who would’ve thought he’d make Eberfuck look like Buddy Ryan.

  2. This silences J Fields truthers and makes the victory against the cowboys look more impressive

  3. Are y’all gonna do this every week? Fields has been gone for 2 years no need to constantly stay on his dick leave him be.

  4. Don’t you know its not his fault? He just needs a line full of all pros multiple all pro receivers and a hall of fame coach and an all pro defense then he’ll be good!

  5. I usually despair at seeing ex bears succeed elsewhere. I’m safe in this case!

  6. Look, I was never a Fields fan to begin with. That being said, if a QB can actually bring the Jets to the playoffs or a SB, put that man in for a HOF bid. Just a disastrous organization.

  7. JF1 is a Taysom Hill level reclamation project I’ve been saying it for years in Chi

  8. I’m convinced beyond a reasonable doubt ā€œthe haulā€ discourse was peddled by meatball casual fans that thought it made them sound super smart because it involved a non-obvious position being taken.

It was just NEVER even remotely a good idea.

Fields was fun for like 6 games in 2022 that we lost all of and immediately regressed to being awful in the last game of the season. He was never a ā€œgreat guyā€ either or whatever people say about him, he was a media trained athlete from a big program. He was taught from a young age how to sound professional in interviews. For as much buzz as he had his entire life leading up to the NFL draft there’s an argument to be made he was one of the biggest busts in history.

Not to mention the Fields discourse gave keyboard warrior dorks like Nestradamus on Twitter a platform. It was bizarre how extreme he took the Fields thing. He was threatening physical violence on people frequently just because he liked Fields. He QAnon’d himself into thinking we were secretly keeping him all the way until the news broke we traded him.

The real issue was that he was the first ā€œhighly toutedā€ prospect at QB we had drafted in years if not ever, and showed flashes of being good despite having serious mechanical issues and processing issues that could never be coached. So casual fans saw him be just okay at times and saw his college highlights and convinced themselves he was the second coming of Christ.

It’s over now thank God but for a few months from 2023-2024 I was legitimately embarrassed to be a fan and a member of this community

  9. This fanbase’s obsession with him is actually crazy, people need to just move on lol

  10. But…but…I was lead to believe by the experts on Twitter that JF1 was WAY better than Caleb…

  11. Justin Fields fans on shambles, I bet half this sub still wants him as the future QB of the future.

  12. Would’ve been stupid to trade down but he hasn’t been bad today at all. 280+ yards, 2 TDs 0 INTs and a nice 69.6 completion %.

  13. His stats weren’t terrible last week vs. the Dolphins but the rest of the Jets were a messy, ugly, penalty-ridden clown show. He may not be a great QB but I’ve been watching them and they’re terrible even with the sparks of talent they have.

  14. Trust me bro you’re going to regret not building around Fields…. half this sub a year ago

    Lmao…..

  15. Well, he finished 32/46 (70%) for 283 and 2 TDs

Granted, that was mostly 4th quarter vs a Eberflus defense so take that for what it is

  16. i’m so goddamn tired of this shit.

Many fans (including me), backed a player we liked, who was on our team, hoping he would come good. unfortunately, that didn’t happen on the bears, and hasn’t happened elsewhere, either.
we had zero control over the situation.
    we weren’t gms.
    we weren’t coaches.
    we weren’t scouts.
we were just fans, rooting for one our own to succeed.

idk what the fuck you’re rooting for when you post shit like this, but it isn’t the Chicago Bears.

  17. I will never understand this obsession with ragging on players and coaches who aren’t with the team anymore. Just let it go.

  18. On the other hand I have the Dallas Tight End and that game was pretty sweet for me

  19. I just saw the alternate reality where we kept Fields and drafted MHJ and uhhh take me back to real life pronto.

  20. Fields tried his best and work hard and gave everything for the bears organization, that inevitably failed him even if he didn’t have the talent, can we stop Dunking on a player who has been nothing but good citizen and hard working player. Jesus wtf is wrong with y’all, if I see another Tyler bagent post about how we should appreciate a fuckin backup who never and plays and is ass when he plays, juxtaposed to Dunking a player who didn’t pan out but was trying it’s insane

  21. He has not been on the Bears for 2 seasons now, its time to let this go. He did everything he could on his time with the Bears despite having a GM that was hell bent on destorying his career.

  22. I turned the game on right after Justin hit the defender in the face with the ball and they were talking about how it flew up so high it hit the sky camera and I immediately noticed the only reason it hit him in thr face was cuz of justins slow ass wind up to throw.

I immediately turned the game off lmfao

  23. 5 games in with a Defensive minded HC, and the Jets have yet to force a single turnover.

  24. You got some issues to work on. Why are there so many people on this sub who feast on hating on a guy who seems to be nothing but an absolute stand up human being.

The obsession is fucking weird. He’s not even having a bad season. He’s got a better qb rating that Caleb. He’s got a higher completion %. 7 TDs with 0 INT.

Caleb looks like he’s the better QB, but Justin was nothing but a good dude. I can only root for him and his success.

  25. This might be a hot take, but I think JF1 would bring more value (and get paid more) to specialize in kick returns and running from the backfield

  26. The number of people in this sub holding a flame for fields is sad. This is the type of post you get in response to all of the nonsense we had to endure when fields was here. ā€œBut all purpose yards. Huuur duur.ā€Ā

  27. Reading the jets subreddit is like going back in time to here circa 2022-23. Half the subreddit blaming everyone but Justin. Of course. The other half pointing out his flaws. It’s oddly amusing how it’s the same debates that plagued the bears when Justin was here dropping an amazing 180 yards a game but dazzling with his 1-2 long runs that for some reason captivated people.
