7 pts 3 rebs 3 asts 3 stls in 9 minutes so far. i just want him to have a decent enough offensive season to allow him to be that defensive presence
He’s incredible, setting screens on one side of the perimeter, hustling for the offensive rebound on the other side. Pleeeease stay healthy
If his offense production in playoffs can increase from like -2 to +2(on a -10 to +10 scale) it would be a game changer
His perimeter defense, rebounding, and hustle are all amazing.
Just need him to stay healthy and be at least playable offensively.
Wondering when Draymond will get called for a moving screen, they’re so egregious
if he plays like he is right now like that his ceiling this season he’s legit in starting line up and a huge pivotal spot for us.
Fuc he’s so handsome
Might be the delulu in me but imagine if we get pre-injury Vando AND DPOY Marcus this year damn
Just need good two way players to compliment our stars. Vando can definitely be that guy. He just needs to be healthy.
the reason i’ve always been a vando truther is it doesn’t even matter if he has any offensive game, he’s always in our most impactful lineups.
People forgot how we struggled when he got hurt last season and went on a winning streak when he came back
If Vando can play like this and stay healthy he raises the ceiling for this team so much.
I’m sorry yall but unless he adds a respectable 3 pt shot he will forever be an 82 game player. Can’t dribble can’t shoot and can’t finish. Good depth for the reg season grind tho
He’s not a wildcard, when healthy he’s been the exact same player every year.
He’s gonna play amazing defense, be mediocre at screening, be a good but not incredible rebounder (because he’s skinny it makes boxing out hard), middle of the pack passer, he’ll make a few layups and the occasional corner three and average like 6 ppg.
He’ll be helpful in the regular season and highly situational in the playoffs (sitting out some series depending on matchup).
As long as he can hit 30% (he can) and finish his layups (he has), that’s good enough for me.
If he hits corner 3s we win the chip
He’s been like this since last season. It felt good seeing that 3 go in tho . Knecht dropped 2 . Hopefully the confidence goes up from here
No he’s not
His rebounding, hustle plays, and perimeter defense is what we need so bad. So if he can stay healthy and build rhythm it’s going to be key. If we can win a chip this year, it’ll be because Vanderbilt makes key plays for us
He will never be able to play minutes in the playoffs unless he can improve on one: 3pt shooting, offense, playmaking.
Am I the only one seeing Stefon Diggs in Vando?
I think he’s a really high-ceiling, low-floor player.
If he actually got to something like a league-average 35% on ~4 3pt shots per game, he’d be an incredible fit as a starter on this team. Luka-Reaves-Vando (that can shoot)-Lebron-Ayton with Gabe-Smart-Laravia-Rui-Hayes is championship-caliber depth.
On the other hand, if his offense is still basically non-existent- turnover-prone, can’t shoot, can’t finish at the rim, he becomes a meh-at-best contract that’s hard to play even 10-15 min a game in the playoffs.
he’s like a downgraded T-Wolves McDaniels oh wait except dude can score unlike Vando…. definitely an unpopular opinion and will get down voted here, but since he’s healthy flip him for picks or cash cuz out of 5 guys on the court if you’re not even an offensive threat then that’s that
I think the team did great considering golden state was playing a lot of their starters and stars not too bad it think
that shot looked much better at least
Once again we’re vulnerable if we have too many injuries. If we’re healthy, we’ll be ok.
Having him healthy gives the team some much needed depth in the regular season. It would be amazing if coach feels comfortable playing him in the playoffs.
I’ve been here for Vando to be our starter
AR/Luka/Vando/Bron/Ayton
Rui 6th man to sub in for Bron. The rest of the guys should work with this core. That’s my ideal rotation at least.
