  1. Can’t wait to see who we target with the cap space we are freeing up with this move, the dead cap coming off the books next off season, and the cap going up overall. Flyers fans should trust management a lot more than we have previously… but it’s still a really important time for decision-making. Spend 10-15mil on bringing in a “1C” or “1D” for several seasons… you better get it right or the rebuild will fail.

  2. Grundstrom is a complete waste of a roster spot. Works hard but gets nothing done. Very happy he’s gone. I would’ve traded him for a pair of old skates.

  3. Pretty good book keeping here to keep under 51 contracts and keep Misa and Dickinson. This makes sense so they can sign all these young guys in the next couple years. Keep above the cap floor without giving big money to guys that are not there yet. And keep them in the hunt for a top 5 pick at the draft

  4. It is interesting to see if the Flyers use the free 4.5 M in net cap space toward anyone this season. Is it even possible they think they will be buyers at the trade deadline? Of course, San Jose is preparing to be sellers at the deadline.
