CAM WARD IS CLUTCH!! TENNESSEE TITANS COMEBACK ON THE ARIZONA CARDINALS & WIN 22-21
Cam Ward is clutch and the Tennessee Titans get their first victory of the season. We’re breaking it down on today’s edition of Locked on Titans. Let’s get it. You are Locked On Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked On Network. Your team every day. Welcome to the Locked On Titans podcast. I am your host, Tyler Roland. Titans fans, it is Victory Monday and today’s episode is brought to you by Mazda. Mazda sweats every detail just like our favorite players. Because when you make every move count, pulling off the unexpected is only the beginning. Stay tuned for highlights later in this week’s Moving the Game Forward Mazda moment of the week. It’s Mazda. Move or be moved. Moved or be moved. I can’t even talk. What an insane game. Talk about the unexpected. The Tennessee Titans just pulled off an insane comeback led by Cam Ward. He was so clutch in the big moments. But hey, let’s all be honest, that was not a wonderful game from start to finish for the Titans. They pull it off in the biggest moments. A lot to clean up, but what an incredible feeling it is to get a victory. I don’t care about anything else. The Tennessee Titans got a win and my god, we are gonna celebrate it. Tighten up in the chat. Hit the like button. I cannot believe that the Titans pulled off that game. I mean, that was one of the most drunk, insane, stupid games I have ever seen. I mean, for three quarters, this team was an absolute embarrassment. An absolute embarrassment. And then they put up 16 points in the fourth quarter to come back and win on Arizona. Absolutely unreal. And to see Cam Ward. That’s the story here. Cam is clutch. That’s what matters most here. It was an awful first three quarters of football for Cam Ward. Yes, there are wide receivers dropping the ball, but Cam was inaccurate. Couldn’t get anything going. Bad decisions. Wouldn’t get rid of the ball. Taking sacks. Like it was a terrible first three quarters for everyone. For everyone, Cam Ward included. But when it mattered most, when it mattered most, Cam Ward delivered in the biggest way possible. 21 for 39, 265 yards, had the interception, but the interception turned into a massive touchdown for the Titans. I mean, again, what an absolutely drunk game. And the the ball finally the ball finally started bouncing the Titans way. Finally started to bounce the Titans way a little bit and then it bounced the Titans way in a major way. Absolutely unbelievable to come back down 21-6 and find a way to win that football game. Again, for Cam Ward, who had to go through all the struggles, who was not playing his best football throughout most of the game, to be able to come back and deliver on that final drive. I mean, they are starting on the final drive from their 18 yardd line, their 18 yardd line. Hits Tony Pard with a quick one. Pard, good job. Breaks a tackle, gets out of bounds, then hits Tony Pard again for another four yards. And I’m like, “Oh man, we can’t just dump it off and dink and dunk our way all the way there.” And then Cam makes a great pass, a strike over the middle to Gunner Helm to move the chains. Throws a pass incomplete, but that’s all right. It stopped. Hit the to Conquo. Chick breaks some tackles. Man, Chick had a good screen catch as well to get some yards. And then it happens. 30 seconds left in the game. 47 yardd line and Cam Ward throws after so many bad deep passes all day. He throws what is the best pass of his young career to Calvin Ridley down the right sideline for 38 yards. Calvin Ridley caught the football again. Cam Ward super clutch. Absolutely super clutch in this game. Leading the team down when they needed it most. making all the big plays that needed to be made to actually go win this one. Even though it was ugly for most of the game, it didn’t matter. And that’s the best thing about Cam Ward, right? That’s how we know we got our guy because it doesn’t matter how bad it looks. It doesn’t matter how bad the first three quarters were. It doesn’t matter how bad the season’s been. 0 and4 down double digits. None of it matters because when it’s time to go make a play, Cam Ward’s going to go make a play. Cam Ward is going to go make a play. All you got to do is give him an opportunity. Let the game be in in the balance and Dam Ward will go make a play and do it. Absolutely insane. Insane come. And what can we just just breathe it in? 10 straight losses and you’re getting the reports the Titans locker room afterwards as loud as it’s ever been. As loud as it has ever been. They needed this like blood. We needed this like blood. Good for the players. But Cam Ward 196 passing yards in the fourth quarter. Shout out man verse demons. 196. That is clutch. So again, I tell you, Cam Ward’s a gunslinger, folks. He’s going to make some crazy plays. He’s not going to be the Tom Brady pinpoint accurate all the time. But my god, when the game is on the line, this dude’s going to go out and take it. If you leave the game open, he is going to go out and take it. I I don’t care how bad the first three quarters were. It’s never going to be perfect. It’s never going to be perfect. But Cam is going to find a way to pull it out in the end if there’s a chance. He is going to give you a chance to go win the football game. I mean, what a miraculous perform that throw to Calvin Ridley. I’m just seeing it over and over and over again in my head. This is massive, man. This is a massive moment for this football team. I mean, the down on the luck, the vibes, the whatever you want to call it. Just totally off the rails. It looked like this team might not win a game all season long. 0 and 17. Cam Ward losing his confidence. Can’t get anything going in rhythm. The defense is frustrated. The coaches look confused. I mean, the entire season going off the rails in front of our eyes for this team. And listen, I don’t think that Brian Callahan’s a good coach. I don’t think that Brian Callahan should be the coach next year. I don’t think that this is going to change much of that. But this team could have quit a long time ago. They could have absolutely given up a long time ago and they kept fighting. They kept fighting long enough for the ball to bounce their way. They kept fighting long enough for the ball to bounce their way. Absolutely phenomenal finish. A phenomenal finish to an ugly, drunk, stupid game. And for Cam Ward to finally have success, for him to get in a rhythm, for him to feel some confidence and remember who you are. That’s the cam word that we’ve been looking for. That’s the offense that we’ve been looking for. Playmakers catching the football, your reliable guys. I manner gets a catch over the middle to extend a drive. Gunner Helm catches a ball over the middle. Like again, Cam Ward is the story here. He came up clutch. He led them down the field, got the easy field goal for Joey Sly. But quite frankly, despite Cam Ward being as clutch as he was, there are a lot of people who came up clutch in this matchup and a lot of people who deserve credit for keeping this football team alive. And we’re going to talk about them. Tighten up, tighten down coming up next. Put your tighten ups and your tighten downs in the video or in the comments down below. do want to let you guys know that today’s episode is brought to you by Square. Your favorite neighborhood spots run on Square. There are certain businesses that make the neighborhood the neighborhood. These are the places that can become an extension of home. Whether it’s the sports bar dedicated to your team’s fan base, the spot with the best wings in town for game day, or that beloved local chain that’s been rooted in your community for years, these businesses are what bring people together. And when neighborhood businesses thrive, the entire neighborhood thrives. Think about what’s going down in Nashville right now at some of these neighborhood spots that are powered by Square. Think about Biscuit Love. Think about uh Monell’s in Germantown. Think about Market Street Nashville. I mean, probably going crazy with Titans Pride right now, and they absolutely should be. Square is a proud partner of more than 4 million neighborhood businesses around the world. You can go to square.com/go/lockedonfl to learn more. But before you do, go support your favorite neighborhood spot. You’ll be happy that you did. It’s Square. See you in the neighborhood. Today’s episode is also brought to you by Mazda’s moving the game forward moment of the week for those who believe it’s not just about playing the game. It’s about redefining it. There are moments that do more than just put points on the board. They move crowds. They move culture. And they keep the game moving forward. And this week’s moment that moved the game forward is Cam Ward’s 38-yard strike to Calvin Ridley down the right sideline that flipped the field, flipped the game and ultimately led the Tennessee Titans to victory. Again, Cam Ward absolutely phenomenal what he did out there. No matter how bad it was early, he just continued to move the game forward. And when you follow what moves you, the unexpected is only the beginning. And just like there’s more to every highlight, there’s more to a Mazda vehicle. It’s Mazda. Move and be moved. [Music] Titans fans, let’s continue today’s victory recap edition of the Locked on Titans podcast. The Tennessee Titans comeback on the Arizona Cardinals 22-21. Again, Cam Ward absolutely clutch. We talk about tighten up, tighten downs, my winners and losers from the game. Number one Titanup is Cam Ward. And again, it was not perfect. It was ugly early on. What’s funny is I even sent out a tweet in the middle of the fourth quarter. I was like, man, I can’t bite my tongue anymore. Cam Ward’s been a disgrace today. Like, he was absolutely terrible. I know that there are drop passes, but even outside of the drop passes, some of these balls are just not accurate. Some of these decisions are just and it didn’t matter. He didn’t care. He stayed in it. He stayed confident. And when the game was on the line, Cam Ward came through in the biggest possible way, setting up this team for the first victory. So, of course, we’re doing tighten up, tighten down. My number one tighten up has to go to Cam Ward. But how about Calvin Ridley? Calvin Ridley has taken so much and he’s deserved it. And he’s deserved it. Let’s be honest. I’m not trying to tell you these players haven’t deserved the criticism that they’ve got. But five catches, 131 yards, had a 47 yard, had another long one early in the game on Cam Ward’s first or second completion. Calvin Ridley got 10 targets. could have caught a couple of them, but he caught one on the sideline. He caught the big one like the whole world. And let’s remember, Calvin Ridley was questionable coming into the game. He’s not even 100% right now. But it all came together. It all came together for Calvin Ridley in this game. He I agree. Memphis Pyramid said Ridley always starts slow. He started a little bit slower than we like, but you’re 100% right. He does, but he came to play. He even started slow in this one, but he came to play in the biggest moments with a big time throw coming right at you. Calvin Ridley made the play. That’s a massive tighten up. The players that had to make plays made plays in this game for the Titans. This This is what it was supposed to look like there at the end. At the end of the game, that is exactly what we’ve been expecting all season long is that right there. tighten up Calvin Ridley. What a performance. And listen, I gotta give a big tighten up to the tight ends. Gunner Helm, Chigga Conqu both had four catches. Chika Conqu had 48 yards on the day. Gunner Helm had 34. Helm made the big- time catch on the third down on the final drive to extend it. Sure-handed, caught the ball. Gunner Helm also caught that pass right at the oneyd line, tapped the toes and set up the Tony Pard touchdown. Before that, Gunnar Helm did exactly what he needed to do in this game. And Chicken Conquo looked like the explosive weapon that he was supposed to be. Couple of screen passes, he was able to catch them, make guys miss, get it done. I mean, those three guys, Calvin Ridley, Chicka Conquo, Gunner Helm, showed up big time when Cam Ward needed them. They showed up absolutely when they had to have it. Huge, huge right there. Also, while we’re on offense, how about a massive tighten up to the offensive line? Cam Ward was only sacked two times and both of those sacks both of those sacks were not on offensive lineman. I mean the one on where Dan Moore was on the fourth down where Dan Moore kind of isn’t paying attention or whatever, but that happened with JC Leam earlier. But let’s be honest, the offensive line was awesome in this game. They gave Cam Ward clean pockets for most of the day. I mean, what else could you possibly ask for? The offensive line came to play. It was incredible seeing that offensive line give Cam Ward pockets. And look, Cam Ward was off. His confidence wasn’t there. He wasn’t playing in rhythm. But when he started to find his rhythm, when he started to find his confidence, when he started to get momentum going, the offensive line was still there to give him all the time that he needed. Like this is JC Laam wasn’t even out there. Shout out to Ali Udo. Ali Udo. We did we even notice Ali Udo? Did Ali Udo’s name get called once? No. And that’s what you want, man. this offensive line. If you get JC Laam back in with the way the Titans offensive line has looked the last three weeks, I know that it’s hard to hear that, but I’ve been telling you guys on the show, the offensive line has not been as bad lately as the numbers say that they are. This offensive line is coming around, folks. And if they give Cam Ward time and he can build on this and he can let this momentum carry over to the next week, absolutely huge. to a massive tighten up to the Titans offensive line. And I got to go to the defense. Jeffrey Simmons. Jeffrey Simmons is an absolute freak of nature. I mean, like eight tackles, a tackle for loss, two QB hits, a sack and a half. Jeffrey Simmons was incredible in this game. I mean, Kyler Murray got sacked more than Cam Ward did. Think about that. Jeffrey Simmons, eight tackles, one tackle for loss, sack and a half, two quarterback hits, massive plays all day, huge plays, dominating the defensive line. Like, Allen Huff in the comments is saying it right now. Defensive player of the year up to this point. No question about it. Look, it’s hard to win an award like that when you’re going to be on a team that doesn’t win a lot of games. But you aren’t lying. Jeffrey Simmons is the best defensive player in the NFL through the first five weeks. I’m not joking you folks. It’s true. The best defensive player in the entire NFL through five weeks. An incredible incredible level of play from Jeffrey Simmons right now. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. What a tighten up for Jeff Simmons. But look, there are a lot of other people that deserves tight-ups, too. Can we talk about Legarius Steen? Legarius Steen had a great game. And some people tried to give him a little bit too much credit for uh uh Demarcado dropping the ball. He didn’t knock it out. Demarcado just dropped the ball. But Sneeed chased him down and showed effort. And there are a lot of people out there who say, “Oh, Sneeed got his money and he doesn’t want to try hard. Oh, Sneeed got his money and he he doesn’t want to play.” Legary Steed was out there hustling, giving his all. And I want to say this, too. On the final stop that the Tennessee Titans got where they got the stop on third down to get the ball back to Cam Ward, guess who was in there making a physical tackle? It was Cody Barton and Legarius. So, Legius Ste deserves his credit for the effort that he has continued to play with when everybody is saying that he’s not playing hard. Oh, Legiousne is playing hard out there. So, I give a tighten up to Legarius Sneed. I thought he had a great game. I thought he had a great game out there. Didn’t hear much from him. Didn’t get beat often. I can’t wait to dive into the tape. I think Sne had a fantastic game. But not only that, the special teams, I mean, Sly missed the extra point. That was frustrating. But quite frankly, Brian Callahan still doing stupid stuff. You should have went for two there. I mean, it’s it’s obvious what the numbers tell you to do. But Joey Sly bangs home the game winner. What mattered most, he put it through. I thought Johnny Hecker was incredible in the punt game. He had a 64 yard. And then once again, Chim DK, man, we got one. We have a special returner in Chim DK. And he can be used on gadget plays on offense as well as he continues to evolve. But Chim DK as a returner had a 65 yard kickoff return. He just continues to make big plays. He’s taken one back this year. I mean, he already did if not for a stupid penalty on James Williams, but like or it was Cedric Gray, wasn’t it, in week two? But either way, Chim DK is a real one. Like, we got a real returner there, folks. Absolutely massive. Absolutely massive. The special teams, the defense, the offense came alive when they needed to. The defense made the big stops when they needed to. So much credit goes to so many people. But again, let me know your tighten ups. I’m not even doing tighten downs. Actually, I am going to do Titan downs, but I’m not going to give them to the Titans because I cannot believe that the Arizona Cardinals let the Titans come back and win this game. What a bunch of clowns, man. Do want to let you guys know that today’s episode is brought to you by FanDuel Sportsbook. The NFL season is here and FanDuel has an offer that you don’t want to miss. I cannot believe it, folks. But the Tennessee Titans have won a football game with a massive, massive comeback from Captain Clutch himself, Cameron Ward. What an incredible finish to that game. But I mean, again, that game was absolutely drunk. The Cardinals did so many stupid things in that football game. the snap that went off Kyler Murray’s face mask. Uh Emory de Marcado dropping the ball at the goal line. The fumble, the interception turn fumble that turns into a touchdown for the Titans. Bizarre, insane. A missed extra point. Literally every crazy thing that could possibly happen happened in that game, but it broke the Titans way. And this team needed it so so desperately. This team needed it so desperately. We needed it so desperately, like every single scenario throughout the entire beginning of the season. Win against the Titans. Cam Ward gets smacked in the face by the dirtiest player in the NFL. Not called. Titans return a punt for a touchdown. Silly penalty. Five yards behind the returner. you know, just pass off a wide receivers’s hands into an interception. Tony Pard keeps fumbling, you know, like just so much nonsense nonstop. And for the Cardinals to finally turn into the clown car, for the Cardinals to turn into the joke that lets the Titans win. The football gods said, “All right, you’ve been through enough pain, folks.” But the Cardinals are going through pain right now, too. And I look back to my crossover episode with Alex Clancy from Locked on Cardinals where he’s like, you know, the Cardinals have to win this game. If they don’t, it’s going to be big- time problems. And the Cardinals got big time problems. You cannot lose that game. That is insane. Now, here’s the thing. What we have to do here is we have to make sure that our excitement doesn’t remove us from the realities here. All right? Because this team was getting smoked for 50 minutes before the football gods opened the clouds and said, “Here, take a few of these.” Like, this team still has a long way to go. A long way to go. Brian Callahan still making stupid decisions that I don’t understand like the kicking that extra point and he got what he deserved as well. I don’t think that Brian Callahan is a good NFL coach all of a sudden. Well, that’s the point I guess of talking about all the mistakes that the Cardinals made. Yes, you got to be able to take advantage of those mistakes and we just talked about how they were able to do it. But I guess I don’t want to let this win make me think that the Titans are on to something or they’re about to, you know, turn it around and have a good like I don’t believe in Brian Callahan still. I think the offense still is, you know, going to be in the mud for quite some time. But what this does for me is it shows there is a better football team in here than what we’ve seen through the first month of the season. And I have continued to say it and people have pushed back and gotten mad and said I’m wrong. This team is better than what their record shows. This team is better than losing by 46 points over the course of two weeks to two divi two division opponents. This team is better than that. And quite frankly, the Las Vegas Raiders are not a good football team. So, while I’m here trying to pump the brakes and preach patience and let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. All right, this is still not a good football team just cuz they were able to come back and do this. Brian Callahan’s job shouldn’t be safe. We can’t jump to too many conclusions on this right now. All right, they got lucky and a stupid football team that sucks let a worse football team come back and win when they shouldn’t have. That’s what we just saw. But what we can take from it is that Cam Ward is clutch and he didn’t just become an untalented loser overnight. You know, I was frustrated with Cam Ward during that game and you guys should have been too. He did not play well for 50 minutes of that game. He did not play well, but it’s in there. He has it in him. Like that’s what we need to see. That’s what this season is all about. Most of us knew that the Titans were not going to be a great team this year. Most of us understood that, but we needed to see flashes of what could be. And to this point, we hadn’t seen that. We hadn’t seen any flashes to be excited about. But at the end of the day, we saw Cam Ward, the playmaker, the clutch gene. Just like we saw in college, we saw it boom flash. We saw deep connections to Calvin Ridley and explosive plays. Boom. We saw it. We saw Cha Conqua being used as a yards after catch threat. We saw Chim DK make an impact on special teams. We saw the Tennessee Titans offensive line give Cam Ward all the time that he needed to make those plays. We saw Jeffrey Simmons be a dominant player and impact the game. We saw the Titans be the smarter football team, be the smarter football team and not shoot themselves in the foot. That’s what we saw in that game. And I don’t know about you guys, but some of the really terrible game management stuff, we didn’t see it. Outside of the Wildcat call on the first drive, which was stupid, we didn’t see any mind-numbing play calling decisions. And while we’re here, penalties. Penalties. The Titans won the penalty war. Only six penalties. The Cardinals had eight. I mean, like these are the flashes that we wanted to see. This is how it was supposed to go. We knew that the team wouldn’t be great, but we should see something. And after four straight games of seeing absolutely nothing. We saw something. So, a win is a win as a win as a win. It was about as ugly as a win could possibly be. But nonetheless, we saw the flashes that we’ve been waiting for all season. And I don’t care how dumb the Cardinals are, how it happened, what went down. Celebrate this win. Feel this win. It feels good. It feels good to watch the team win a game. So, I don’t care how it happened. I’m going to celebrate this one with watching some more football at the end of the day. But what an incredible comeback. Cam was clutch. Calvin Ridley and plenty of others stepped up. I hope you guys enjoyed that one as much as I did. But I’ll be back with you tomorrow to continue breaking it down. I’m excited to watch film for once. So, can’t wait to dive in, especially to that late comeback by the Titans there. But that’s going to do it for me today, folks. Throw a Titan up down in the chat. Throw a thumbs up on the video. As always, I am your host, Tyler Roland, and this was Locked on Titans. [Music]
The Tennessee Titans pulled off a miraculous comeback on the Arizona Cardinals to win 22-21 led by Cam Ward who was as clutch as you could possibly be. It was an ugly start for Ward and the entire team, but they stayed in it and found a way to pull victory from the jaws of defeat. The Titans got some huge contributions from Calvin Ridley, Jeffery Simmons and others on the way to their first win of the season!!

America…the richest nation in the world, where we pay taxes on things that never get fixed! Cities are looking like third world countries with lots of lights!!! Where dafuq is the money!!!!
lol. I enjoyed it fully. I also know we won on a fluke!
I Still want Callahan fired
Clutch 😂he didnt throw a TD he threw a int that was fumbled for a TD Cards RB tosses away ball as he going over call line Cards gave u this game was so bad i think Vegas put in a call or something was not clutch in the least an Cards defense sucks.
Cant wait for Sweat to come back. Simmons gonna go Super Saiyan level.
That win was clutch yes sur ! Win or lose I bleed titans !
If there was ever an example of one team losing vs the other team winning, this was the perfect example. Cardinals were smashing us, but suddenly receivers started bringing their hands with them
#undefeatedinoctober
We needed that
No negative vibes only positive vibes let's go titan up I love it . Let's go taylor 3 to 21 comeback ward in the clutch. Yessss titans let's go! I guess wards speech reach to his teammates
Titan Up Always right here 😊😊😊
Nah more like the Cardinals blew the game in epic fashion
Nice final drive. Dude threw a nasty terrible pick right to the dude and the team still got a touchdown. What this taught me is that a blind squirrel can find a nut sometimes and if three miracles happen, anything can happen. Cam threw his standard two wow plays at the right moment. Im nearly positive that he will be to inconsistent and end up a bust but i can hope for a week.
What yall think ,,, you think "they must get the run game goin" smh ,, worst advice for this type team ,,, this team is set up for a air raid style highscore team,,, this slow conservative vrabel style playcalling is digusting to watch ,,, cam said fck this weak playcalling and started playing like he was back in miami
No ,,cam remember who u are ,,, you been screaming run game ,run game, run game ,, cam is not run game ,, he is air raid , high scoring , real football ,,, this safe run firat playcalling is holding him back
Imagine they playe whole games like that last quarter right from the first possesion ,,, easily a 30+, 40+ score team ,,, yeh might have a few more interceptions going that route but u can guarantee there will be way more tds
Let's just enjoy this win Tyler
Also he cant get into a throwing rhythm when he completes a catch and they run 2 run plays right after ,,or before ,,like wtf let the man throw
2 memories from this game. 1. fumble recovery for TD. 2. Cam leading the final drive. Bonus: Ball bouncing off Murray face lol
I can't get excited about this horribly played game. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. A win is a win I get it but we absolutely sucked in this game.
It may get overlooked but Simmons is playing out of his mind right now. Dude is blowing up double teams without Sweat in the lineup or anyone else getting any real pressue. We must keep Simmons around if we want to be a winning team anytime soon.
I have started to grow real concerns about Femi though. He is super passive when it comes to pass rush he just pushes and hand fights. We need someone who can actually teach him technique and aggression because naturally he doesn't have either. Our next 1st round pick may be another Miami stud in Reuben Bain Jr because that dude punches tackles in the mouth all game long whether he gets to the qb or not he's going to make you feel him and has great bend around the edge. Ok, let me shutup and celebrate this win. TITAN UP!!
Cam Ward was looking like a vet on that game winning drive !!!! The future is bright. We just need to pieces around him and that starts with the OLINE !!!
27:30 end of the first half, on the edge of fg range and you go for 4th and 10?? and half of the o-line doesn't even move..
Jeff Simmons ain't close to dpoy stop it
Most of the inaccurate passes were fine if he'd just put a little less heat on them. Take that off and the wrs stop dropping over half of them and we have an actual team.
Simmons has been playing out of his mind without Sweat even being there. Now imagine he comes back, and then next year we have an elite edge next to him? Omg
Titan up to Cedric Gray btw, he was all over the field today. He’s been solid
Hopefully the Offense can build off this going forward. I reiterate, this team will go far as the Offense can produce.
Abdul carter woulda helped us today lol sarcasm
Cam didn't do shit. It was all luck. Bad play on Arizona offense missing the yd. Bad play on Arizona defense fumble for the td. We will lose next week.
I think there’s gonna be another worst worst worst worst game video made about this game 😂😂
This team just over-achieved…1-16…I'm screaming since day 1, CAM IS GRIDIRON KOBE ( JEFF IS GRIDIRON SHAQ)
😂😂😂 Cam Ward sucks
Some how some way. Got it done #GoTitans
It was an ugly win but what matters most is that no one gave up and came through when it mattered to pull out the win….
