Definitely a move we need and one that would improve us a lot. Secondary is good, we just need better pass rush. With how the Raiders season is going I can see them blowing it up. Crosby’s contract is trade friendly and he’s better than anyone on our d-line.

Before doing a big trade like this we need to make sure BJ and Caleb are the right people. Or else you end up with a one year wonder year, 2018.
I only see Crosby in my nightmares after last game
It’d be a massive win now move and that’s sort of a weird push given what we’ve seen. Unless the Raiders are Jerry Jones levels of stupid it’d mean moving mountains to get him and that’s a huge risk when we’re still technically not competing with the division.
As much as I want it to happen, getting him would cost probably 2 frps that we desperately need. We really need the best left tackle coming out next year. I think iol is fine and I think wright is fine, but Theo I don’t think is very good and I mean we don’t even know what we got in ozzy.
I’d love to have Crosby but this is a move you make when you are missing one piece. We’re missing too many to make this kind of move unless the Raiders give us a really friendly trade.

The only way we will be in a position to get one of the best tackle prospects (if there is even any coming out) is if we draft in the top 10.
As of right now, we’re projected to pick around 16. We need a pass rush.
I’m torn. I’d go for it if this team is good enough to make a serious run with an elite pass rusher but I’m not sure it is. If they win the next 3 games and look good it could change my mind.
The Bears don’t have the cap space for this. Unless you’re trading JJ or Sweat. On top of the fact that Crosby is the Raiders entire identity.
Chicago is a year away from making a move like this.
He’s only 28, at least got 3 good years in him and may be more. He single handedly kept the Raiders in game last week. Totally worth it for 2 frp, even better if its 1 1st and few later rounds
The bears should probably dump a player for assets before they use assets to gain a player. They’re still a good offseason away from being a top half of the league team.
Honestly, Poles needs to do a better job drafting players if the bears are going to be a competitive organization for more than one random season, here or there.
You absolutely slam yes on this trade. Getting a high level pass rusher will transform our defense in a good way. He’ll command double teams and will make it so much easier for our other linemen to eat, as well as making our run defense so much more stout. Sure we’d lose our two first round picks for the next two years but this immediately raises our floor and we’d be in playoff contention almost immediately. If anyone doubts, look at how much better our defense became after getting Mack. Can’t be understated.
Trust me, I would love to see them figure out a way to make this happen, but they have unfortunately already blown their nut on the DL between Montez Sweat ($24.5M/YR), Dayo Odeyingbo ($16M/YR) and Grady Jarrett ($14.25M/YR). They would need to do backbends to squeeze the remainder of his ~$38M cap hit for this year on their books, and they are already projected to be over the cap for next season.
He’s an excellent player, but I just don’t see them making a move this big until they reach the offseason when they can start offloading the do-nots of this current roster.
But hey, maybe they’ll swing an RB trade for a player who will need a contract in 2026. Achane would be awesome, but I could be talking into a few possibilities for making the RB room better.
People need to wrap their head around the idea that we used up our spare cap space fixing the offensive line. There’s no more big additions coming.

I would, I’d probably throw a 3rd in too as Poles only drafts busts in the third.
Getting Max Crosby would be amazing. But I would rather us focus on getting a RB, possibly off of another team’s practice squad.
