Kayshon Boutte – 11 of his 13 catches this year have been 1st Downs. Has been developing into a clutch receiver and deserves some recognition.

  1. There was a lot last year about him working really hard with coaches and taking coaching very well, and credit where credit is due. He’s worked very hard and turned himself into a reliable asset.

  2. I feel like he’s our 2nd best option after Diggs. Although last night I said “Boutte might be our number 1!” Then Diggs decided to go tf off šŸ˜‚

  3. Boutte is turning into a really useful player. Reminds me of a poor man’s Michael Crabtree. He has tough hands and attacks the ball in the air. A limited but useful route tree from the X and the Z. He’s stout at the catch point.

I’m just hoping we’re finally done with the “He’s a former 5 star recruit and top prospect who is recovering from a long-term injury, and he’s our future #1 WR” talk, so we can appreciate him for what he is rather than arguing about potential he doesn’t have.

  4. Boutte is WR2, and is exactly what I’m assuming we were looking for when we drafted Polk: strong, reliable, smart.

That reach for the first was huge – he ran a shit route on that one and came back behind the first-down line and adjusted. These are the kind of plays that win games, just like Drake’s falling throw.

Also, I know most of us already know this, but: holy shnikes this kid plays a lot faster on the field than when he was being measured. I know he had the injury, but a lot of guys never match speed again after hurting themselves, so it’s awesome to watch.

  5. I like Boutte but want to see him involved more. He had some great down field catches last year, let’s take a few more shots with him

  6. He seems to always be open or make plays. But he’s the 2nd or 3rd read every play and the routes they have him run are more slow to develop so he’s not going to be a high volume receiver. Unless something changes he’ll be a 2-3 catch for 40-50 yards a game guy with the occasional TD.

  7. Sooner or later the Patriots are going to face a top tier secondary that will focus on shutting Diggs down. When that happens, Boutte is going to need to step up. (and in my opinion, he will)

  8. He’s got good play strength and decent speed…..helps that he seems to be doing the little things

  9. Diggs, Him and Henry are great targets.

I hope we keep him for a long time.

  10. They need to upgrade and get him out of the top 3, but he’s a fine depth guy.

  11. They need more out of the WR group. He is a decent player but they really cannot let up now and say ā€œwe are goodā€.

This offense is a WR and RT away. If they draft right in 2026, they could be set up for years and years

  12. I read in the game thread yesterday he’s trash šŸ¤”
Gotta love people who don’t look full picture

  13. The first thing I noticed with his late game catch was the whereabouts to go down immediately, instead of letting his momentum take him out of bounds…that’s a heads up play that Brady era players used to make šŸ‘€

  14. Great hands, open more often than hes targeted. If Maye can start finding him more, this offense will really open up

  15. Reliable. Gets open, catches the ball, moves the chains. Should get a few more looks but he is solid.

  16. Not enough enphasis on the 1st down reach, and his effort to stay inbounds on the final drive. Huge plays, great situational IQ for this guy. Loving him more every week!

  17. Have to run more plays for him as the first option. He has reliable hands, gets great separation and can/will make contested catches. He should definitely be getting more than a couple of throws a game.
