MUST SEE Cowboys Injury News Ft. Tyler Smith, KaVontae Turpin, Tyler Guyton And Jonathan Mingo

[Music] Coming up on today’s Cowboys Report, a lot of injury news to dive into. A rather troubling injury report coming out before the Cowboys for the Jets and two players set to return in the near future from injured reserve. We’ll break that down, but first we need to send some good vibes for a very banged up Cowboys team. And that is in Brian Shanheimer’s own words, by the way. Like the video if you want the Cowboys to get healthy. We’ll call it our little prayer circle. Like the video, please and thank you. Let’s dive in one time through all the latest Cowboys injury news. The injury report from Wednesday. We’ll have an updated one Thursday afternoon. Tyler Booker, no surprise, did not participate with an ankle injury. He’s he’s not going to go. Tyler Gton is in concussion protocol. It makes him an unknown because it’s a concussion and those things are sometimes uncertain. Really troubling. Tyler Smith had an MRI on his knee. We don’t really have details as of filming. We’ll talk more about what we do know, but big time knock on wood. I like the video. Miles Sanders did not participate. Ankle and knee is what he is on the injury report with. Cidi Lamb again did not participate with his ankle injury. Not overly surprising. He’s not going to go. Cavante Turpin also on the injury report with a foot injury. Real chance he does not play for the Cowboys against the Jets. We’ve known about the Maly Cooker toe injury cuz that one was pretty obvious when it happened live, but he is going to miss some time. Those are all the did not participate, which puts their status in doubt for week five. Kenneth Murray was limited on Wednesday with an E. in general limited early in the week means you end up playing uh but we will monitor that one. Trayvon Diggs limited with his knee injury. Deron Bland is still on the injury report with his own foot issue but he was a full participant so nothing too terribly concerning on that front as we sit right now for the Dallas Cowboys. But the report from Nick Harris was you’re going to be down multiple starters in week five. Obviously, you’re already down two starters on the offensive line with Cooper BB and we’ve known Booker is not going to play and CD Lamb is not going to play. Expectation is more players will be out and big uncertainty on the offensive line in general. We’ll break it all down for you on today’s show, but what is your concern level over all these different Dallas Cowboys injuries? Scale it for me from 1 to 10. One on the low end, 10 on the high end. It’s the pin comment. So, head down there and go vote. Let’s begin with a rapidly increasing injury list on the offensive line. Look, Tyler Booker is not going to play. That’s not a surprise. His ankle injury is not ready. He’s probably still at least another week away. The Cowboys didn’t put him on injured reserve, which makes us think that they can bring him back in time for week four, but it does, you know, requires growth and everything. I think it’d be kind of dumb to not have begun that clock previously. So maybe he’s back not next week but the week after. But he’s not going to go this week. Tyler Gton because it is a concussion and you just never really know how he’s going to progress through the protocol. And frankly there’s like there’s not a lot the player can do. Like it’s your brain. Like it’s not your fault if if you are stuck in the protocol. Like it’s it’s how it goes. Cowboys have thought there’s a chance he’s able to play or he’s got a good chance to play. We have to see how it goes throughout the week in concussion protocol. He’s also missing practice time, which isn’t good because you want I am a big believer in stability and chemistry and consistency and cohesion on the offensive line. Dallas did shuffle Nathan Thomas and against uh in place of Terrence Steel, your pride is going to work Nathan Thomas at left tackle all week just in case Gayton can’t go. And if Gayton can’t practice at all and he’s cleared last second, I wouldn’t even rule out the possibility of he’s just your emergency offensive lineman and you just you try to have something resembling consistency up front. We’ll know more about G later in the week, but it’s a concussion. He may get cleared, he may not get cleared. It’s not like it’s a high ankle sprain. It’s four to six weeks, right? Like there’s just there’s just not as much clarity. What is concerning right now is Tyler Smith had an MRI on his left knee. His status is unknown. He said he hopes to play. Uh it’s not the first time we’ve seen Tyler Smith get an MRI and be fine. So hopefully that ends up being the case here again. But this would be a sizable loss. You are so banged up on the offensive line. This has been your leader. This has been your stud, your superstar up front. Look at all these asterisks we’ve got on here. You’re already down Cooper BB. Robert Jones was supposed to be your sixth or seventh offensive lineman in your top two. He ain’t playing this year. Booker’s out. We’ll see about the other Tylers. We make all the jokes about the Tylers. There is a scenario that exists in which the Cowboys have one healthy starting offensive lineman available. That is a possibility. Now, if Tyler Smith can’t go, I think Trevor Keegan would be an option. Could also throw Hakee Deni in there at left guard. Uh he’s been all over the offensive line in general. You’re probably going to have to have a Johnny Cornelius active as well. You don’t Jiren Christian could be a practice squad call up if Gayton gets healthy like on Thursday or Friday like you could always try Nathan Thomas back in there at left guard but again there’s a lot of uncertainty on the offensive line which should be concerning like especially when you have to face Quinnon Williams up front. Links in the comments section and the description of today’s show. Cowboys will not have CD Lamb against the Jets. That’s no surprise. That’s been expected. does kind of feel like he’s trending right direction was out there out with the rehab group on Wednesday. So, I don’t think he’ll be back against the Panthers, but I do think you’re trending in the right direction to have him back uh the week after that. You’re also going to be down, it sounds like, Cavante Turpin. He hurt his foot against the Packers. and Nick Harris mentioning it’s a similar injury to what Don Bland suffered that cost him two games which is a notable loss for the Dallas Cowboys. Turpin had been he kind of became the slot receiver essentially where they’ve used him so much in motion and that kind of stuff. Now maybe makes sense why Fenoy was playing so much lately week. Now it makes sense why Paris Campbell was brought back to the practice squad. It is another banged up wide receiving core. Right now, your healthy game day activives are George Pickkins, Jaylen Tolbert, and Ryan Fenoy. Uh Jonathan Mingo, we’ll talk about him. I wouldn’t rule out him getting activated to the active roster this week. It’s a possibility. You’ll have at least one guy called from Practice Squad, too. And I think Jaylen Craropper is the next man up on that front. He was a call up last week in part because he helps you on special teams. He can do your returns if you need to, can do coverage stuff, can be the slot receiver. I bet he’s caught up again and gets his first real crack maybe at actual NFL action. One other key thing to mention here with no Cavante Turpin and we’ll go into my Sanders here more in depth. Got a giant question mark. Who’s going to be your return man on kicks and punts this upcoming week? The options are I I would like to see Jaden Blue be back there. That would not be a surprise to me. Jaylen Tolbert’s an option, but now he’s your wide receiver, too. You might not want to jeopardize him. Wan Thomas has done kick return stuff for the Cowboys, but now he’s going to start at safety. Jaylen Craropper is an option. Is it like blue on kick returns and Craropper back deep on punts? Maybe. Uh, but that’s you went from like, you know, you’re down two your your top two options, I guess, with my Sanders being back there a bunch and then you might not want to jeopardize Tolbert and Wany Thomas. So, who should return kicks and punts for the Cowboys? Let me know in the comments section of today’s show gets those predictions or answers in the Miles Sanders injuries. It’s an ankle and a knee that kind of feels like might have to keep him out. I’m not going to rule him out like I am basically doing with Tyler Booker and SD Lamb and Turpin. Maybe Doubtful is where he’s at. Bordering on questionable if you’re lucky. Outside of the fumble, it actually has been a mostly good season for Miles Sanders. He just clearly doesn’t have the same juice that others do, but also outside of the one long run, he hasn’t been very impactful either. I think this is the Jaden Blue week. I I think a you might want him out there for returns, especially like he did do a lot of Texas, but he has the juice to handle it. This feels like the week that Jaden Blue finally gets going for the Dallas Cowboys. and it’s Javvante Williams, Jaden Blue, and Hunter Lipkkey are the guys in there uh for the running back room. That might actually end up being a better thing for the Cowboys. Our fingers can at least be crossed uh on that one. So, do you want Jaden Blue to play? Why for yes, N for no? Let me know in the comments section of today’s show, Y or N. Let’s go to the safeties. Malik Hooker is going to miss several weeks with a toe injury. I would not be surprised if he heads to injured reserve. You You only get so many call backs. I think it’s eight is the number you end up getting, but you probably want to free up a spot for someone like Jonathan Mingo, maybe others. You don’t want to cut somebody if you can avoid it. So, by putting Hooker on IR, you would free up that roster spot and you, you know, have options at safety. Bridges has played a little bit of safety in college. That could be like your break in case of emergency option. Um, you could always call up Elijah Clark from the practice squad too for a couple weeks. Wan Thomas very much feels like the next man up and I’m excited to see him play of We’ll talk more about him on our preview. He’s actually going up against his brother this week. Uh, Aaria Thomas is a Jets corner who hasn’t played a lot, but uh, he’s going to be a a family affair this upcoming week. If you want more Dallas Cowboys news and rumors, you’ve come to the right spot. Hit that sub button right now. I did want to mention these other three injuries. I think they’re all relatively minor. We’ll see if anything changes over the next couple days, but Kenneth Murray Limited, he should play. Trayvon Diggs, Don Bland should be back as well. And then the two players who are set to return from injured reserve. Jonathan Mingo, the wide receiver, and Kalin Carson. Both had their practice windows activated. This is what that means. Return to IR. You get a few players you can bring back. was once you return them to ours was when they count 21-day practice window that you can kind of ramp up to get healthy. You do not count against the active 53 that 53man roster in that time frame. At any point in that window though, whether it’s day three or day 20, day 21, you can return to the roster and be eligible to play. By the end of that 21-day window, it is a maximum, not a minimum. you have to return to the team or stay on injured reserve for the end until the end of the season. You are out for the remainder of the year. So, Mingo set to return given all your injuries at wide receiver. Wouldn’t be shocked if he is the first one back and I think he’s pretty much ready to go. His timeline was four to six weeks when he suffered the injury. Well, we’re at the six week window now. Kalin Carson kind of beyond the six week window from his high ankle sprain. I don’t The numbers game is kind of weird. Do they release somebody? I think Kalin Carson might actually fit the Eblu’s zone coverage scheme a little bit better, but we haven’t seen him in almost the calendar, in fact, really a calendar year now essentially. Um, so I don’t know what his real timeline is or if they slow that a little bit more or if they try to cut somebody or put somebody else on IR. We’ll see later in the week. That does mean these players are not yet back yet. Demarian Overshon needs more time from his knee injury. Maybe maybe around the bye-week is after the by-week maybe is when he’s they start to ramp him back up. Fingers crossed. Savone Rebel, I don’t know when he’s gonna back. He clearly had a setback with the Cowboys in training camp. Just didn’t look right. They will not rush him back because it doesn’t make sense to. He’s too important long term, but it does seem to have no impact from your third round pick so far. I don’t know when Josh Butler will be able to go. He might just be a stash this year, frankly, cuz he suffered his injury later last season. Phil Mafa is eligible to return, but the Cowboys have not done so yet. I say the time this might be a sash for the entire season. That would not surprise me. Payton Turner on IR with the rib injury. They’ve already added Jenev Clowny. I don’t know how they get snaps for him, so I assume, you know, wait and see there. Perion Winfrey is I don’t think is actually eligible yet. He needs one more week if I if I remember the timeline of the back injury correctly. Um or maybe maybe he is eligible. Either way, I don’t know when the back’s going to be healthy. So, it’s a back. Be careful there. Cooper BB also not yet eligible to return. Uh, he’s got a couple more weeks to miss and then he in theory would back helping out the Cowboys offensive line. You put Brock Hoffman somewhere else if you need the spots with your banged up offensive line. [Music]

  1. Bass and Hoffman as good as Beebe and booker . No problem there look at last game Tommy . Doesn't want to mention any thing about them no praise . For them . . Tried everything to do everything they could to replace him and Hoffman . Booker plugged in as starter because of bias and draft status . . Will mcclay wasn't gonna have either
Of them start .jentu playing for raiders having great . Year . Booker first round. Pick not looking good for ol will right now . . Good job will . Picking a guard instead of running back . 💯🐺👀

  2. Just a thought – The DC KNEW and "Coached" the Bears QB and had no clue what to do. Now Dallas gets to play against another QB that the "great" (some think not great) DC should KNOW what to do to stop the QB. If the Chicago game was any indication the "coach" did not know how to use the talents of his QBs and for sure will not have any clue how to stop said QB. Look for the defense to have a VERY long afternoon in New Jersey against the WINLESS Jets (probably no longer after Sunday).

  3. People complained that Jerry Jones didn't sign Micah Parsons, if he did dallas cowboys would be in major problems right now , with all the injuries. I think a lot people need to apologize to Jerry Jones & give them support for players with injuries. I hope team gets healthy soon 🙏
