I get it, we won the game but we didn’t win because anything Callahan did that game. In fact, we should have lost that game if we’re being honest. Arizona shot themselves in the foot like 12 times.

  1. Fair but we won the game so we SHOULD be distracted. If he didn’t get fired after 4 Ls, it’s not happening after a W. We can whine about the coach next Sunday after we lose to Vegas

  2. Can’t you see there’s more at play right now. I’m not sure how this isn’t obvious. There’s an angelic force that willed us to victory. Sounds crazy but the Anaheim Angels had a similar experience in their run to the pennant. Bones is the angel seeer. In the coming weeks you’ll see that they decide to start coach Mac at wide receiver and he’ll make miraculous catch after miraculous play. But the fun will soon come to an end as Bones is alerted to the fact that Coach Mac is being called up to be an angel himself as he is decapitated on a crossing route. The moment is sobering as we all come back to reality and ask ourselves why the hell did the Titans start their 75 year old color commentator at wide receiver only to die. And why is a guy named Bones seeing angels. In the end it won’t matter as it was truly the journey and the road that we were on and that’s what matters.

  3. “We didn’t win because anything Callahan did”

How can you say that after he drew up the perfect game-winning interception-fumble-touchdown play?

  4. He’s the scapegoat. They won’t fire him until he “leads” the titans to another top 5 pick.

  5. Nobody is “distracted”. Nobody thinks he should still keep his job.

    You, however, are just annoying

  6. This fanbase I swear just wants to be miserable sometimes. For 1 week just be happy with results.

  7. Let’s give the man his day. We won, it wasn’t pretty or intentional, but we won

  8. Some of yall are just insufferable. Yes Callahan needs to be fired but I swear you just want to be miserable 100% of the time.

  9. Man enjoy the win! Lets just hope that W sparked something inside not only the players, but the rest of the coaching staff. That 4th quarter offense was great if they can keep it up for all 4 quarters next game.

  10. I did not like that he left the game up to Slye. It seemed like we had momentum to score. Now I get not leaving time for Arizona to score but with Slye struggling recently, it seemed not the best call in my opinion.

  11. Thank god we still have rational fans on this sub. I was starting to lose hope

  12. It is inevitable he will be fired. Anyone with a brain knew we would win a game this year, we will likely win 2/3 more.

Also anyone with a brain knows that he will not be our coach next year. Mularkey got fired after reaching the divisional round. Somehow Mularkey’s offense was more productive than Callahan’s.

Enjoy the win, not because it means we are going to playoffs, but because it gives our young players confidence and shows glimpses of what can be achieved.

  13. I guess they are really determined to not fire him until his likely loss to Vrabel, a flawed coach on a flawed patriots team that can still easily outcoach our resident crayon eater

  14. It’s obvious what needs to happen, but the Titans won what could very possibly be their only win this season, so let’s take a moment to enjoy it.

  15. A component to this game is to make less mistakes than the other team, and take advantage of their mistakes. Luck is absolutely a part of the game, but it also takes talent. That fumble recovery TD, it took talent for that to happen in the end zone vs your 30 yard line (luck…but they still had to march the ball down the field). The bone head goal line fumble/touch back, they still had to march 80 yards. It wasn’t 100% given.

  16. Who cares? We won. It was a bizarre game and quite possibly the only way this Titans team stands a chance of winning, with a dropped ball through the endzone and one of the wildest int-fumble-TD plays I’ve ever seen.

But you’re letting Callahan distract you from:

    * Cam Ward led his first NFL game-winning drive.
    * Bunch of players on offense had meaningful contributions.
    * Jeff Simmons continues to be incredible.
    * Dike continues to make huge ST contributions.

Callahan will be fireable later. We only get Cam Ward’s first NFL win once.

I’m fully and happily letting this win distract me from Callahan needing to be fired. Also, *I’m* not the one who needs to keep my eyes on firing Callahan. I’m a fan of a football team that finally got off the mat. Miss me with Callahan whinging right now. We’ve heard plenty of it for the first four weeks, and we’ll hear plenty more of it in the coming weeks.

[This is what posts are supposed to look like right now.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tennesseetitans/comments/1nzo73m/we_may_never_lose_again/?ref=share&ref_source=link) If you just want to whine about Callahan, you can do that in any number of threads from the past month.

  17. Just gotta suck it up. They are keeping him on for the tank job or maybe they feel like he can turn it around. I wouldn’t be surprised with either decision with our ownership

  18. My first thought when they won yesterday was that the Cardinals just gifted BC a few more weeks before he is fired

  19. Happy for the players. Hopefully this doesn’t prevent ownership from making the right decision…eventually.

  20. Can’t wait to fire him just to hire an entirely new coaching staff next year and be back at square one yet again.

  21. Dan Patrick this morning put it best: Arizona lost the game, the Titans didn’t win it.

As harsh as it is, I agree.

  22. How about this- if we come out against the Raiders, and our offense goes back to looking like it did for the first 4.75 games of our season, then yeah, send this man packing.

But for one goddamn quarter, this offense was on fire.

Callahan has been a clown, and if i were calling the shots (THANK GOD IM NOT), I would’ve canned his ass already. BUT… if we can actually keep this offensive momentum, I’m willing to hear him out a little longer.

Again, it all hinges on whether this was a switch turning on moment, and we keep this offense going, or if it was a mere flash, and we’re back to awful again vs. the Raiders.

  23. Meanwhile, Vrabel had his first signature win as Pats coach. Callahan is not a players coach – analytics doesn’t get a locker room fired up. Guy would be a great assistant somewhere, just not ready for head coaching slot.

  24. THE definition of “we didn’t win that game the other team lost that game” they should have been up 2 TDs on us

  25. Does anyone else think play calling was better in week 3 than it was in these past two games?

  26. That string of consecutive 3 and outs in the second half almost killed me. Did he draw that up? It was like…3 or 4 in a row. That is our Defense’s worst enemy.

  27. What’s funny to me is all of these fans of our team actively rooting for Callahan to lose instead of rooting for him to figure it out and the team to turn it around.

I mean im on board as the next that at this point, I dont want to see Callahan coaching this team anymore. But if this 4th quarter is what it took for things to start clicking, and turn us into the 2009 Titans, then Im all for it.

  28. It took an epic collapse with a goal line drop and the luckiest TD ever to barely beat a mid team lol. They cooked

  29. For me I want callahan gone as much as next guy and I’ve been vocal but its pretty hard after seeing that comeback. If the guys keep momentum and play hard in next game and not come out flat like they did in first half. Then I want to wait and see. Even if they lose next week but they show that they give a fuck and of course no big bone headed errors on his part. I want him around. Up until the win yesterday. He hasn’t shown that imo until down 21 3 at half. Almost like he realized I am going to get fired if we dont do something.

  30. Callahan actively decreased our expected win percentage by going for 1 instead of 2 at the end of the game. That is 100% the wrong decision. Another in the long list of elementary coaching decisions that he has no idea how to handle. It sincerely baffles me you can work in football for this long and not know this. Legitimately insane. Dude is embarassing.

  31. we were gifted that game on a gold platter because of Arizona’s mistakes. We can’t count on that happening every Sunday going forward. I’m with you on this one he still needs to be replaced sooner rather than later
