And we are still 0-5 with his garbage time stats. Lovely.
So Fields kills it against cover 11. Cool.
Don’t worry guys, we’ll start winning just enough games to remove us from drafting a generational talent.
I see this playing out one of two ways:
1. We beat the panthers and the saints, losing the tiebreaker and having them pick ahead of us. Add in a meaningless win against the bills that have already clinched.
2. We got on a little win streak, getting us to 4-5 and getting everyone’s hopes up, before dropping the rest of our games.
Take your pick, but it’ll lead to the same destination.
Anyone defending him at this point is a casual

I’m over Fields already and I tried to keep high optimism. I want to see his stats this year on passes further than 40 yards down field. SHOW THE STATS FOR DEEP BALLS 40+. I don’t think he’s completed one 5 games in. NEXT

So 32% of the yards come in 25% of the quarters? Whats the breakdown by each qb.
Seriously tho, I would guess Baker Mayfield has some weird numbers as well
He does better after the D stops blitzing and he has time to throw. If Engstrand was a better play caller he’d be in better passing situations earlier in the game. For example, I’ve been killing Engstrand for not throwing screens. He finally dialed one up, it failed, and we never went back to it. Then he did not call single QB run/RPO the entire game. In order for our offense to be effective we need to be creative and mix up the play calls (we will not win a single game with Fields if his legs aren’t utilized). Tanner is not capable of that, no matter who is at QB. Olson was even killing the play calls on the broadcast. Even Rodgers couldn’t overcome a shitty OC and shitty play calls, so someone likes Fields doesn’t have a chance.
I like Glenn, but Wilkes and Engstrand need to go.
I mean it’s pretty obvious when watching the tape that he’s not good. He holds onto the ball forever and can’t process the defense. Would say start Tyrod but might not be much better.

4. Totally concede the Dallas game was entirely garbage time

I would assume Glenn and company saw what he did towards the end of his third year in Chicago and his time in Pittsburgh and figured he can win when he has a strong defense and run game. I think we all thought they’d have a halfway decent defense and good run game.
The fact that he dosent throw picks and is capable of picking up third downs with his legs makes him a legit game manager on paper. But clearly, things did not pan out the way they anticipated lol.
I feel like an idiot for trying to be optimistic about him. I should’ve known.
