Detroit Lions Get Bad Injury News

And we got some news that’s pretty cheeks. Let’s go ahead and get into it right now. [Music] Make sure you go ahead and subscribe to the channel. Why is that? Because we’re doing breaking news right now. And we got some bad injury news in regards to Tyrion Arnold. Dan Campbell said he’s going to be out for a while. He’s going to be out for a long time. A while. He was very competitive. I thought he was calm. I thought he was cool and I thought it was one of the games he played for a while. I thought it was really good. Lions are now really thin at the cornerback position. Terry Arnold’s going to be out. They say for a long time. Seems like it could be a season is over with or it till the very end of the season. So that is bad. That’s another corner going down. Both starters down. DJ Reed out with the hamstring. I suspect to be back after the by-week. Terry Arnold, who was supposed to take that jump, he looks like he could be done for the season or a big portion of it. We are thin at the quarterback position. Rockin was dinged up. We have a Meek Robertson out there, Khalil Dorsy, Trey Flowers, wide side. I think the Lions are going to at some point have to look to make a move at the corner position. Whether it be making a trade having Terry Arnold out for a long time, obviously you’re depending on him. That’s a blow. We lost Andis Frank’s draw early in the season. Now we’re thin at the corner position. We seem to get injured a lot. Luckily, it’s happening before the trade deadline, you know, so the Lions can have an option to get better. What do you guys think? Should the Lions go look to make a trade, get a corner? Why for yes and for no? Terry Arnold to being out. I know he has had those penalties and the past interferences, but still he’s playing well in some parts of his game and now we are down. So, it’s a blow to the Lions secondary. This is a blow. It’s going to be hard. Our defensive line’s got to get to the quarterback quick or we’re going to get chewed up in the pass. So that’s that is this is a bad this is bad news right here. This is bad news. Now like I was saying before, the Lions, they need to look to the trade deadline and and start looking for talent to bring in here at the corner position. We’re in a Super Bowl window. You can get players the trade deadline that can immediately help, especially at the corner spot. We need help at that position. We’re trying to win a Super Bowl. We have draft picks that we can do it cuz we can’t be relying just on a Meek and Rocky and Khalil Dorsy and Trey Flowers for the season. Can’t do it. They got to look elsewhere. Got to find talent in the secondary now. We got some time though. The trade deadline got a couple weeks and we got a by-week. So that is intriguing right nearly in the same same time frame. So the Lions can make a move and they can acclimate the player to the defense to help it out. We got the cap to get it done. We have a lot of cap. It doesn’t the end of it doesn’t even have to be a superstar cornerback. It doesn’t have to be, but it needs to be somebody. Tariq Woolen. Yeah, he I heard he’s on the market. There’s I’m sure there’s other players out there. Sauce Gardner, I don’t know what’s going on over there. The Jets are a booty cheeks team. There’s players to be made. Just got to make some phone calls. put on this defense. Hell, if I wish the Patriots were doing well, I’d bring back Carlton Davis somehow, get him to come back here. But there’s there’s players that the Lions can acquire. We just got to go out there and do it because we can’t have this depth. Th this depth right now is is cheeks. And I mean, we’re going into we’re early in the season and it’s already we’re hurting at that position now. We got to make a move and get some depth at that spot, get some talent over here. Again, we don’t have to get a number one of that nature. DJ Reed, he’s got a hamstring. He’ll eventually come back, but we need to get somebody else too to replace Terry and Arnold. They got to do that because we can’t have a situation where again we’re in the Super Bowl window and injuries take us out. Can’t have that happen again. We have such a talented roster. We can make the Super Bowl and win it. It doesn’t take much to get a Tariq Woolen. That would be a sixthround draft pick. is you’re not going to get a great player. It’s not potentially it’s not going to be the greatest of players, but we don’t need that. We need a solid player, a number two corner to complement this this defensive line and linebacking core because we’re getting a Lee McNeel coming back. Joshua Pascal, make a move, Detroit. They got Hey, you got to make a move. Get some help on this football team. I’m sure a lot of people would love for the Lions to do that. And I am one of them. This is not a want. This is a need. They need this. Thankfully, we do got some good deaf pieces. I’m very happy we got Rockus. Very happy. What a great piece in free agency. He can help us out in the next couple of weeks even though he’s banged up. Amique Robertson, he’s played really good. He got beat on that Jamar Chase by the the move. Oh well, overall he’s played really well. And then they can move Brian Branch into the slot if they need to. We need help though. So hopefully we get some help coming to Detroit. We going to need it and it’s going to be tough if we don’t, right? And it’s something that the Lions should look into and they should get this team in a better spot. Unfortunately, it looks like the Detroit Lions injuries are starting to pile up again. Just about a week after the Lions placed starting cornerback D.J. Reed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, it appears they will now be without their other starting outside corner. Lions coach Dan Campbell announced on Monday that Terrion Arnold suffered a long-term shoulder injury on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“He’s going to be out for a while,” Campbell said. “He’s going to be out for a long time.”

When asked if it was a season-ending injury, Campbell said he didn’t know quite yet, but repeated that it would be “a while.”

It’s a tough break for Arnold, who has had a bumpy start to his career. After a flag-happy rookie season, he came in to 2025 with a lot of hype out of training camp. He struggled in his first few games, but Campbell was impressed with how he played on Sunday against the Bengals.

“He was very competitive. I thought he was calm. I thought he was cool, and I thought this was one of the better games he’s played in a while. I thought he was really good,” Campbell said.

It’s been a rough year for Lions cornerbacks. Before the season even began, Lions 2024 second-round pick Ennis Rakestraw suffered a season-ending injury. Now Reed is out for at least three more games, reserve cornerback Khalil Dorsey is out for “a while” as well with a new wrist injury, and Arnold appears to be headed for injured reserve.

That leaves the Lions extremely shorthanded at cornerback, although the Lions did sign Tre Flowers and Nick Whiteside to their practice squad last week. Other healthy options include Amik Robertson, Rock Ya-Sin, and Avonte Maddox.

  5. You know I hate the fact the guy got hurt but I think it's going to actually help the Lions that he's out of the lineup for a while. He's nothing but penalty after penalty after penalty and as the season goes on, our adversaries are going to get more powerful and we don't need those kind of calls on a consistent basis. Sure, once in awhile it happens but come on

Good hallelujah, this is the second game where our defense had been dominant and devastating centurion Arnold's little handy handy play what's the cost us a Major play , because of his holding this time it was Adrian Hutchinson safty-sack and that is two points and a Free kick so please the last thing we need is trerrion Arnold but that's the second time he's called it for a third down who is a sack last last last game Eddie Carson's on the first down or a third down that created a first down for the other team which kept a drive alive he's as bad as God damn sue was always shooting the team in the foot by getting penalties and keeping drive alive for the other team are you with a great defensive player do you use to draw a double team to meet him in dispensable know it didn't Play nothing on Carrie and Arnold has done it made him indispensable yeah we had prospects out there spring training camp Rachel and let them go when we went to the 53 squad and keep Arnold well now we need to go back and look at them again and see if we can get them back😮😢😢😢

Do you think turning Arnold with all that that he needs to be replaced and you're an idiot you don't know shitt about football you probably thought sue what's good and that Matthew Stafford was a shity quarterback but please you're talking crap you don't know what the hell you're talking about Tyrion Arnold so far this year ain't done nothing but hurt the defense the numerous occasions where the defense has had on his third down and long shut them down instead of getting them turnovers or punts turn Arnold grabs a hold of somebody gets him a goddamn holding penalty in the first down or get them a pass interference in the first down that is not what I call good good isn't your guy gets a gets a safety sack and You get it reversed by hanging onto a guy game called for fast and the furious and now the other team instead of turning the ball over and giving you two points he's got a first down and now they can March down the field and score on you that like like Sue is bunch of s**sing with great players do can you talk about about super bowl super bowl is a full of players that do s** like that to their team put a bullet in their head😢😢😢😢😮

  17. Mike, you yourself have been calling for him to be benched. Now that he's down it's going to be rough not having him on the field, but at least we don't have to worry about him getting overly handsy on every play.

    3 holding calls

    6 penalties so far in this 2025 season. We're only going into week 5
