  2. I’m very happy Lucic did not make the team. It was clear from camp/pre season the dude just can’t keep up anymore.

  3. No Lucic! Hopefully that means Sunny isn’t seriously hurt and will be back shortly.

  9. I’m guessing with Sunny hurt he and Krug go to LTIR which gives the Blues flexibility to bring in Lucic on a league min deal. Which I am not totally happy with, but what are you going to do if they don’t want Stenberg of Joseph on the 4th line

  10. Really thought Lucic would make it given all the noise. Curious what that 4th line looks like!

  11. Reading around seems like Lucic may not be out exactly. Not waived from his PTO so they could extend or maybe even sign to an AHL contract. All speculation but he’s not officially out yet.

    Barring injuries Schenn, Jake and Bjugstad will all play mostly every night so that would leave Tex,Joesph,Torp, Sunny and Walker battling for 3 spots in the lineup

  14. Like others, I am very relieved not to see Lucic on the opening night roster, but I am still befuddled by the organization’s refusal to release him from his contract. What am I missing?

    I saw a snippet of the new Hull and Chase podcast where Brett was saying that all Lucic had to do to stop the young Hawks player’s shenanigans was to stand next to him and give him a dirty look (I’m paraphrasing). That schtick is only going to last for so long before players will catch on and demand more from Lucic. Will Lucic be willing and able to be the physical presence necessary to truly protect our players? I don’t see it, at least not long-term, and I certainly don’t think whatever “protection” Lucic provides is worth a roster spot. 🤷‍♀️

  16. I’m not happy or bummed to see any one player make it or not, to be honest.

    I pretty much fully trust Montgomery and Armstrong to put whoever on the roster that gives the Blues the best chance to win.  I don’t bother armchair  quarterbacking them, they have shown to be far too good at what they do.
