Jets are a flat circle

  1. Building would imply there’s some kind of process of creating or putting something together. It feels more like we’re stagnant. Forever. This is us. Fuck.

  2. It all comes down to ownership. Nothing will change until ownership is changed. I think once we hit the 20 year mark of not making the playoffs, and the NFL starts to see a severe lack of growth in fans and interest in their biggest market because the teams suck, the NFL internally will start to push the Johnson out from ownership.

Maybe Steve Cohen will buy the franchise one day.

  3. Nah, you forgot the part where Glenn and moog have a few good draft picks, create a stingy defense that won’t show up when it matters and then trade for a 40 year old Matt Stanford telling everyone that we’re just 1 QB away from being contenders. We then miss the playoffs.

After that, we go back to rebuild

  4. No, no, no. See, it’s different!

    2013-2014 was a rebuild

    2015-2016 was a “competitive rebuild”

    2017-2018 was a rebuild

    2019-2021 was a rebuild

2022 genuinely should not have been a rebuild, that was a prove it year, and they failed

    23-24 was all in

We are now in a fifth variation of a rebuild in a 15 year span. Historic numbers baby

  5. I remember those couple of games where we were done rebuilding then we were like…. Yeah we gotta rebuild again.
