Nicholas Robertson | Post Game @ Detroit Red Wings | October 4, 2025

Nick, another solid performance. You know, final score aside, what did you think of the way you went at it tonight? I think it was my best game. I think I played more desperation in my game, more of an urgency, and I’m just kind of happy that uh this last game, you know, we’re playing the full lineup, I think I got in a rhythm of how I want to play this season. What What do you think sparked it for you tonight? Honestly, I think desperation. I think um there’s an opportunity for me for there’s an opportunity for me to kind of showcase myself. Definely going to play top minutes, play against their top players and and I’m happy the way not only I play but other guys took advantage of their opportunity. I thought we thought the group battled pretty hard today. You’ve talked many times about this being a similar situation, something you faced sort of in the past. I wonder now if you now that preseason’s done, you just had your best performance if you’ve learned something different this goound that might be unique. Honestly, no. I I I’m so immune to this situation and and I kind of know how how you know how it works. So, um, like I said, I’m happy how I finished it off and how other guys played today and just kind of build on that going in the season. I know that you were really happy for Pizo when he scored. What’s what’s uh how much have you got to know him? I know him a lot. I think uh I try to learn the new guys for sure and and u he’s a great guy and uh you know, we’ve been practicing together and stuff and being around each other and um I’m just happy we got that one. You should know that Dennis was very appreciative of the rides. save a few bucks as well, but what did you make of your goalie tonight? He he battled hard. I’m I’m proud of him. I know it’s like I said, I talked to him. It was an opportunity for him and and I’m really happy the way he played. It wasn’t easy. It’s not like we you know, we gave up a lot of opportunities for them and they had their skilled players and he he did a really good job tonight. Did you share a moment with your family at all? I don’t know if you’re able to kind of lock eyes. No, my family’s not here. My in-laws are here, but I’ll I’ll see him right now.
