Bit of a happy golucky disposition. He’s won over Cubs fans since the moment he arrived in Chicago. This is served to left by Contrarus for a two-out hit. Around the corner at first in Scamper back with his third hit of the series. This was a a little cutter that he threw in the inside corner, so it didn’t have as much velocity as that fast ball. Conturus was able to get enough of the bat on it to drop it and find some grass. That’ll bring up Christian Yelich. A heartbeat of this team. And Yellic hits this to left. A two-out rally for the Brewers. Two on, two out. Two jam shots there by the Brewers offense. Produces two hits. This one dumped right in front of the left fielder. Another first pitch hit. They had first pitch hits in game one. Five of the first seven who came to the plate. Ronnie and now Andrew Vaughn. Vaughn was traded for in mid June. They sent him down to fix his swing. He came up in the first week in July and he was the most important part of that lineup in the middle of July. [Applause] Basketball upstairs from Imanaga Vaughn after joining the Brewers to your point 46 RBI in 64 games. That is a torrent pace. Big RBI’s too game-winning RBI’s now able to locate inside. The Cubbies need a zero here. They got to have it. [Music] Brewers put up six in the first inning of game one and ran away with it. Good counter there by Imanaga on the 2-1 count. Vaughn’s expecting fast ball. He gets the cutter down and in. Good one with lots of movement. Imanaga looking for his third punch out in this first inning and he’s unable to hit the corner with a fast ball. He was able to do that to Cheerio and it produced the strikeout. Not able to do that to Vaughn. These Brewers take the humble approach there here though. Not always looking for the three-run homer. Looking for the base hit. Keep the line moving. Naga has struggled in the regular season in the first inning. Another payoff and it’s a highf fly ball to left field. Hap underneath it in front of the wall. This ball’s gone. Andrew Vaughn ties the game with one swing. He’s done it again. a team that was 22nd in the major leagues and homers this year, but they’ve got some slug in the lineup and he went back to that little cutter and it stayed right in the middle of the plate. You didn’t know if he got enough of it because he hit it so high. But this ballpark has always been a good hitter’s ballpark and it had enough and produces three runs. Brian Naga. Another one that leaves the yard. Two strikeouts to start the inning. A harmless single. Another harmless single. And a great at bat by Vaughn. Ties the game much to consternation of councel. [Applause]
