MLBTradeRumors released there projected arbitration salaries for 2026. Angels currently have 10 players eligible:
- Taylor Ward (5.164): $13.7MM
- Brock Burke (5.045): $2MM
- Connor Brogdon (4.090): $1MM
- Jo Adell (4.085): $5.5MM
- Carson Fulmer (4.018): $1.2MM
- Reid Detmers (3.159): $2.6MM
- Jose Soriano (3.121): $3.2MM
- Carter Kieboom (3.009): $800K
- Logan O’Hoppe (3.008): $2.9MM
- Zach Neto (2.170): $4.1MM
No surprise that Ward is the highest batter valued and is second overall behind Skubal. Neto got Super 2 status so he'll get a nice pay raise compared to the league minimum. Brogdon, Fulmer, and Kieboom are non-tender candidates. What are your guy's thoughts? Who do you think will get more or less?

Brogdon amd Fulmer are getting cut, kieboom maybe cut
What are the numbers in parentheses?
I don’t think Zack has enough service time for arbitration
I estimated about $36M in salaries are freeing up from free agency.
We were at $230M in Shohei’s last season (in 2023) and at $172M in the following season (2024).
This past season, we split the difference at $206M. We’ll probably spend a little more than that, but probably won’t exceed $230M.
By these numbers:
* Taylor Ward: +$6M
* Jo Adell: +$3.4M
* Zach Neto: +$3.3M
* Jose Soriano: +$2.4M
* Logan O’Hoppe: +2.1M
* Brock Burke: +0.9M
* Reid Detmers: +0.8M (moving to the bullpen cost him)
That’s already $19M increase on these guys.
I would guess we spend around $20M-$30M in free agency. These guys take us to $189M. The absolute maximum would be to spend $40M. Yusei alone cost us $20M/year.
Seeing how we have holes at SP1, SP4, 3B, and CF, I wouldn’t be surprised if we make one mild splash (like $10-$15M/yr) at SP, let Farris/Dana/Kochanowicz duke it out for the 4th/5th spots, spend $5M/yr on bringing someone like Moncada back, and then spend the remaining few millions on bridge options (like a bullpen arm or two and a 4th OF, someone like Chris Taylor).
