Does Milan Lucic still have a future here in St. Louis?
Milan Luchich doesn’t need the money. He’s made a lot of money in his career. He’s trying to get back to the NHL. So, they may have a verbal agreement. He can stay on the PTO. So, the Blues don’t pay him. He’s not on a roster, but he can practice with the team under his professional tryyout agreement. And then maybe they’re just wanting to see him, you know, continue to progress and see where he’s at in a week or two. The players willing to stay on the PTO. There’s no rush for the team to sign him once that fork in the road comes to where Milan Luchich is tired of paying for a hotel here while he’s in town and his family and all that stuff and he’s like he says going to push for a contract and the Blues will have to say yes or no at that point but again that’s up to the team and the player as well. Now they also could have had a meeting today and let him go and they haven’t announced it yet. They don’t know this stuff. I’m not in those meetings, but the fact that the roster was released and I got an email to official roster released from the Blues as well and there’s nothing in there at all like telling me about Milan Luchich knowing full well that their fans are going to want to know tells me that he’s probably still under the PTO or they’re still negotiating with him in some capacity or Doug Armstrong’s exploring a trade for one of these other pieces that is currently on the roster to another team and then signed Milan Luigi with that roster spot.
Milan Lucic’s name did not appear on the opening night roster for the Blues.

No Lucic please
I can’t imagine trading anyone away to make room for Lucic.
Thanks for shedding light on the issue. This was the only post I could find any news about the specifics on Lucic. I know he appears slow now, he said because of a healing groin. Is his toughness a good enough reason for a contract? I wouldn't mind seeing him out there for a third of the games to lessen Schenn's fighting role.
