Like I said, I got Andrew Ronaldo coming on to talk about the Chicago Wolves in their upcoming season going into year or two with Cam Abbott. Who are we going to keep an eye on and how do we feel about the Wolves going into the 2526 season? Also going to be talking about Brandon Busy and how the Hurricanes claimed him off of waiverss from the Florida Panthers and why I think he’ll be a great addition to the Hurricanes organization. And then we’re also going to react to the Seth Jarvis episode of Inside the NHL from their faceoff series. But without further ado, friend of the pod Andrew Raldi is back and he’s got a new home for his articles covering Chicago Wall. So, we’ll get into all that as well. Welcome to the show, Andrew Raldi. Andrew, how you doing tonight, brother? Doing pretty good. Thanks. Uh, thanks for having, as you know, we’re getting pretty close to the start of the season here. I’m all all amped up, ready to, you know, ready to see some friendly faces back at All State. I know, man. It’s crazy that it’s like we know the season is almost back when we get you on the pod to talk about the Chicago Wolves and what’s coming up for them. But before we do, though, where is the new home that people need to find you for your articles, my guy? Absolutely. Um, it’s uh I joined this I mean, you know, the our past publication, the Calder Times, kind of ceased operations. So, um, great. I was graciously able to find a new home at uh the Ontap Sports Network. It’s it’s a website that covers all Chicago sports and you know whether it’s uh I mean it’s you know the Bulls, the Cubbies, the Bears and and everything in between and including the Wolves. They’ve um they’ve had credentials with uh with the Wolves in the past but it’s it’s been a little while so they kind of wanted to reach back out there. I was in need of a home. Um, it’s it’s been a great team. I’ve loved uh I’ve loved kind of being a part of that that community for for the short time I’m there. And I’m excited to start my my first season continuing the same content that I have over the last gez. It’s been about five years now. So, something like that. Yeah, just a little bit. But yeah, no. Yeah. Great group. Yeah, great group of on top. I know a lot of those guys, you know, you know, from the Blackhawks crew, White Socks, Cubbies, all those guys. So, yeah, definitely going to be exciting to keep up with all the stuff you got going on, my guys. So, it’s going to be a lot of fun for sure. But speaking of the Chicago Wolves, 30 there, it’s their 32nd season of being in operations, of course, not in the AHL. They’ve had some different stints, but you know, they finally made it back to the Carter Cup playoffs last year. first year under Cam Abbott, a very young team because, you know, reaffiliation for the first time back after a year apart, came back together, went through some struggles, but they made it back in unfortunately got bounced by the Rockford Ice Hawks. But going into year two, Andrew, how are you feeling about these Wolves going into the second year with Cam behind the bench? It’s I I mean I I I love that they’re it’s not entirely the same roster as the year before, but it’s a lot of returning guys. And you know, in this league, there’s it it feels like every team there just seems to be that that roster turnover that that just it’s hard to maintain success year after year because, you know, oh, either your young guys are performing well and they’re moving on to the the parent club or, you know, someone’s not uh not the happiest with their situation and they sign a contract over with, you know, Cleveland or something else. And yeah, it’s just it’s just it’s a league where it’s hard to maintain. And you know, you have a coach now going into his second season with lot of the same locker room. And I I think that they’re going to kind of build on a lot of those those successful pieces from year one. And and I I think that they’re in line for a really successful season in the top half of the Central standings this year. Yeah. No, I completely agree because the fact that you got, you know, Bradley Nell coming back after a 32 goal season last year. Ryan Suzuki was finally healthy for the first time since getting drafted. So, you got him, you know, coming back for another year. You know, Skyler Brendan Moore. You look at the defense, too. You know, you see Dominic Finsori taking a step. You know, you look at Alexi trying to go for the next step as well. You know, Bendinko, what he can do in his like a full season because he only played two games with the Wolves last year being with Malmo. But then you look at Charles Alexis Lo had an absolute stellar preseason in training camp with the Hurricanes this year. So like when you look at this team like how are you how are you kind of viewing like some of you know the bloom line of some of those guys over there but then of course you look at the Fords and you look at you know Suzuki’s back and NDO and then you look at you know some of these other guys like who’s kind of your standouts on both sides of the ice. Yeah. on. I mean, you know, it’s hard not to to begin with Bradley Nadau. Um, of course, you know, the the you’re not supposed to score 30 goals as a teenager in this league and he kind of made it look pretty easy to do it. So, you know, you’re going to continue to see him I I you know, develop his his obviously we know he can he can fire the puck like nothing else, but I think Chicago is going to want to see him grow into that that 200 foot player that’s going to serve to to draw a road to him into Carolina hopefully sooner rather than later. I mean, for your sake, for my sake, I’d, you know, like a few more games with him, but um right. Yeah, exactly. Um, defensively, you know, you’re going to be missing Scott Morrow there after the trade for Keandre Miller, but yeah, you know, you mentioned Dominic Padinka. I think he’s a guy who’s who’s been receiving a lot of hype heading into, you know, through training camps and and all that. So, if he can continue that good play rolling it into Chicago, I think he can be a a a surprising surprisingly good piece for for this Wolves team. But I’m also with you on on Charles Alexis LGO. I was big on him last year. He always found like the little things to do that that really surprised me. And I I think now that you know the doors open a little bit and Morrow is not going to be eating 30 minutes a game now from some of these guys. out. It’s going to open up opportunities for, you know, Dominic Fencor and he’s going to be leaned on as like the number one guy on the blue line and and and it’s all that’s that’s kind of the nature of this league, too. It’s like that talking about the turnover. Yeah. you don’t have a guy like Morrow anymore, but now it’s like who’s going to jump up and and take advantage of those opportunities because all these guys are are chomping for a bit to get the chance to prove themselves to the coaching staff to the eyes up in Carolina, you know. So, it’s there’s it’s I’ve liked a lot of the dynamic of this defensive core and their ability to skate with the puck. I think that there’s a lot of mobility in transition for him to kind of get the puck away from danger and out into the attack. So, I’m looking for them to continue on that even without a guy like Morrow who might have been the smoothest skater of them all. But, you know, I think that’s just going to provide an extra challenge for these guys to see like, all right, who’s who’s going to step up and who’s going to going to fill the roles that we need to fill in order to be a top team in this league. Yeah, it’s definitely be interesting when you look at like what you said, you know, you got you don’t have Mororrow taking 30 minutes a night. you know, you’re looking at the power play, look at the PK, like, you know, five on five, you know, defensive pairings situations, what who’s pairing with who and stuff like that. So, I know um Anastas is going to have his, you know, workload for him as the defense coach for the Wolves. Great guy, though. Actually, I ran into him in Carolina for the first preseason game. Um yeah. Oh, yeah. It was good meeting him in person. Great dude. You had him on last year. Definitely need to get him and Cam and everyone else back on again. But yeah, great guy. I know he’s gonna do a lot of great work with those Wolves defenseman for sure because he he knows what he’s doing um without a doubt. But talk about the goaler quick Andrew. We saw you know Spencer Martin last year in some instances. We also saw Dustin Dakarski in some instances. Also Russell Casay not the greatest year for him but he did have a really good training camp for the Hurricanes. It seems like he’s kind of taking that next step. And plus he’s still really young too. But now there’s been a little bit of a turnover on that fact. You know, you got Amir Mystikov coming over from the KHL. It wasn’t the greatest preseason games in training camp. So, there’s questions of maybe does he start in Greensboro. You know, you got Rouslon back down as well. But the Hurricanes have made some moves in the offseason. They traded and signed King Primo who had over 20 wins for Laval Rocket last year. I think had less than five losses combined between regulation and overtime shootout. So, that says a lot for a guy to do that in the AHL. But they also recently, you know, claimed Brandon Busy off of waiverss. Of course, I’ll talk about a little more of a deep dive into that. But your overall thoughts though, just like seeing the turnover to now you’re looking, okay, probably Casayv, Primo, and Buzzy. How are you feeling with this goalending possible trio that the Wolves are going to kind of roll into the season with? Yeah, it’s it’s it’s hard to to make a claim. I can’t say here and be like, “Oh, I can’t wait to see Primo down here and then, you know, by the time this episode’s released, he gets claimed on waiverss or something like that.” Hopefully. Yeah, knock on wood. Hopefully, though. Um, it’s just Yeah, it’s a it’s a it’s a tough time of the year to be a third goalie in the organization, but um at any rate, I you know, I was actually a pretty big fan of of Hija of last year, and you know, it’s Yeah, his numbers didn’t bounce out at you, but there’s not a lot of 19-year-old goalenders that are going to come in and light this league on player. Exactly. Yeah, that’s a definitely a learning curve for sure. He got he got he got kind of thrown to the wolves a little bit. No pun really intended, but kind of. And it was just too easy. It was too like like how can you how can you not? It was a softball. Um, and so now that like he’s had like the experience built up and I think he kind of had a little bit of maybe what uh you know kind of what Mystikov has had coming in like I know he’s been in North America before but after spending so many years back home overseas. Yeah, it’s been it’s been a little bit back here like it’s it’s a culture shift and it messes with your mind. So, I don’t like I don’t take in like if he has three disappointing performances, I’m gonna throw the goalie into the and out with the bathwater. It’s um I think, you know, it’s it’s something that might have to take time to kind of realize like who’s going to be the guy. Ideally, Kaden Primo, yes, would be the kind of guy that takes over as as Spencer Martin’s role last year. Yeah. Um but, you know, you you have it’s it’s just again another thing about this league. If you’re an organizational third goalie, oh, there’s an injury up top. Yoink, you’re you’re suddenly your workhorse in net’s been been grabbed and you have to make do with the guys uh that you have, which is again another thing that I really admired about about Hayv was that when Martin went up, he did admirably. I mean, for a 19-year-old, he wasn’t getting blown out of the water every night and and and showed flashes of what he’s capable of. And it’s just going to take, you know, time development. You’re not going to get better by just sitting and watching the press box. You get better by being out on the ice and getting reps and reps and reps. So I, you know, I think the I think the goalending will be fine given time. It might, like I said, maybe right out of the gate it’ll be like maybe a little shaky. And again, we don’t even know who the night one start. It might be Busy, might be Primo, might be Mystikov, who knows? But, uh, yeah, I I think, um, I think it’s, you know, just based on the amount of bodies they have to throw at this at this, it’s like something’s gonna stick, right? So, I think they’ll be all right. Yeah, I know 100%. So before we let you go, Andrew, who is your I would say maybe one or two guys that maybe Hurricanes fans and Wolves fans should keep an eye on this year that maybe they’re not getting talked about enough. Maybe not getting talked about enough. I’ve seen a lot of talk about him, but I’m going to do it anyway. Ivan Ryabkin. I think he I was really impressed kind of with how with his play in preeason and he’s got he’s already got a grown man body already and he is years old. you know, I’m not expecting him, at least initially, to kind of blow the doors down offensively, but I think, you know, if if he can provide just solid two-way play, at least I’m thinking like a fourth or third line level, he’s going to slowly earn his way into an opportunity. Like there’s a a position where I think uh the staff in Chicago is expecting Tyson Jo to be up there in the top six and it’s Yeah, about that. It’s open. It’s open for the taking. So, he could be one of those guys if he if he’s out there and he’s just hitting with like a a wrecking ball like I’ve seen him do and he’s a presence out in front of the net, he could definitely be a a candidate for gaining more ice time as the season goes on. and he I I just I think he’s really fascinating as uh as a prospect and you know seeing what uh how he you know how he do does with the with the coaching from Cam Abbott and the rest of the staff in Chicago is is going to determine kind of how they feel about him as as a player. And I’m really excited to see kind of I don’t want to say they kind of got pushed around a little bit but there’s there was never really like a big heavy presence on the forch. I mean, a couple of guys that were throw that can throw the weight around for sure, but I mean, I I I’m ready for a a ornery 205 pound 19year-old with something to prove to just go crashing down in the on the opposing team’s boards. So, yeah, I’m I’m gonna stick I’m gonna stick with Ivan on that one. Yeah. No, 100%. It’ll it’ll be interesting because I know it’s either he’s going to Chicago or there’s a potential option too that I didn’t even know about until Walt Ruff said it that they could send him to Charlotte Town in the QMJHL. So, it’ll be interesting to see what the decision is. I have a good feeling it might be Chicago, but who knows? Only time will tell. I know they’re early in camp and all that stuff. They also got a new practice facility. Not too much longer until they start their season in Iowa and then they’re back at All State. You know, then you’re going to have Kickstart My Heart. The Pyros are going off. Everyone’s gonna go crazy and we’re gonna be watching a lot of Chicago WS hockey. But Andrew, before we let you go, where can people find you on the socials? And we know we kind of talked about, but where can they officially find your content for the upcoming season talking everything about these Wolves? Yep. On on Top Sportsnet is is where you can find my all of my written work. Um, and then you know on Twitter because I still refuse to call it X. Um, you can find me at Andrew Raldi_. Um, I live tweet during the games. I post updates from the team. I make memes and chat with the general population as long as you’re not being kind of a tool bag. And um, even sometimes I will. But uh yeah, I I you know, and if you ever have any questions about about the Wolves or the operations or why am I a tool bag, you know, I’m always happy to interact with with the fans and um and so yeah. Yeah. I I it’s it’s it’s why I do this thing is is to is to share it with the people who love the team. So yeah. Well, make sure to go check out all that with Andrew. And again, we’re getting ready for another season Chicago Wolves. But like I said, we talked about him a little bit, but I’m going to dive into a little bit more talking about Brandon Busy as he’s the new part of the Carolina Hurricanes organization. So, stick around. We’ll talk about that here in a second on a Monday edition of Locked on Hurricanes. So we kind of talked about them a little bit in segment one with Andrew and the Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon claimed Brandon Busy off the waiverss from the Florida Panthers. Now the 27year-old goalender did sign a contract with Florida this year. Was a one-year $775,000 contract that was signed back on July 1st, the start of free agency. It is a one-year two-way deal. So, part of the NHL portion of his contract, $775,000, but his AHL salary is $400,000. Shout out to Puck P for having both sides of that contract. It is a one-year deal, though, and he will be a UFA at the end of the season at 28 years old. So, last year, he played in 33 games with the Province Bruins. didn’t really see any time with the Boston Bruins, but he did have a 2.77 goals against average and 905 save percentage. He actually had five shutouts. It was uh 154 and four in the regular season. Then in the playoffs in two games for the Bruins, 242 goals against average and 918 save percentage and was 1 and one. So when you look at his numbers and yeah, you it’s the record that kind of stands out a little bit. It’s like, okay, he was almost 500. What happened here? But when you look at the goals against and save percentage, how many shutouts he had, and then you look at his playoff numbers, 242, 918 save percentage in two games. As someone who I covered the Providence Bruins a little bit last year for the Colder Times before it seized operations. When you looked at the Providence Bruins, it was a team that was very up and down. They would have good runs, then would get cold, and they would have like this back and forth of like they’d win a couple, lose a couple, win a couple, lose a couple couple. So, you kind of get this, you kind of got the feelings a lot of ups and downs for the P Bruins last year. So, I think when you look at Brandon Busy’s numbers, it’s kind of, okay, it’s not it he’s got good numbers. Like, if you had a more common team in front of him, I think that record look a lot better. It would almost look like the record that he had the season prior in 23-24 with the Providence Bruins where in 41 games he had a 267 goals against but a 913 save percentage one shut out however but he was 2310 and five then in the playoffs four games a 2.14 goals against a 922 save percentage and he did have a shut out in that playoff. The thing is though that shut out was the only one as he went one and three in the playoffs. So when you look at his overall like his he’s a save percentage over 907 or better. His goals against is 277 or fewer six shutouts and he won a total of 38 games in two seasons for the Providence Bruins. and we look at his playoff numbers, sub 2.5 goals against in in six games and same percentage over 918 or better with a shut out. So, this is a guy who’s actually pretty good. If you want to go back farther to 223 where he played 32 games with the Providence Bruins, how about a 2.4 goals against a 924 save percentage, one shutout, 225 and4 in the regular season, 2.28 28 goals against a 926 save percentage in four playoff games that year. Of course, one and three record in the playoffs. So, you can clearly tell over the last few seasons with the Providence Bruins in the playoffs, Brandon Busy is absolutely out of his mind when it comes to his play. Even in the regular season, he is really good for the P Bruins. though for the fact that Boston didn’t really bring him back. Florida signs him to a contract and of course he has to get through waivers Hurricanes are like yoink we will gladly take him and honestly when you do hear this podcast on Monday there could be an an a possibility that Kane Primo could get claimed off of waiverss because he has to go through before he’s assigned to the Chicago Wolves. So it this is almost like a two-fold scenario for the Hurricanes going to claim Busy off of waiverss from Florida. If Kane Primo gets picked up by someone else on a waiver claim, okay, well, you kind of had one goalie that you really liked who did well in the AHL and you’re gonna replace him with a another good goalie in the AHL and of course he was behind a team that was very up and down. didn’t really get a lot of time with the with the Boston Bruins because he really played zero games for them. Every game he’s played in has been with the Providence Bruins. But when he’s in the AHL, he’s got some really good numbers. Even if you go back to his Western Michigan days, his final season at 912 save percentage and 255 goals against in the 39 games record. How about 2612-1? This guy is pretty good. And even with Moskegan Lumberjacks in 18/19, how about 3312 and four, two 44 goals against and seven shutouts everywhere. Busy has been going from the Moskegan Lumberjacks of his one one season in the USAHL. Goes and plays at Western Michigan for three years. Absolutely does pretty well all things considered in NCAA hockey. Goes to the Province Bruins. Does his thing there. Even had a good record for four games with the main Mariners in the ECHL. Now he has the opportunity where he could have went to Florida, put him on waivers. He’s picked up at Carolina. Now he’s going possibly to Chicago Wolves where either he is tandeming with Primo or he’s going to be the guy in Chicago. So however it plays out with the waiver claims when it comes to Kane and Primo, I think the Hurricanes picking a busy is a big step. either you’re going to have two really good 1A 1B goalies along with Rouslon uh Kazv then you have a great trio of goalies if not then at least you still have your backup in busy in case Primo gets picked up. So either way the Hurricanes put themselves in a great spot. Like I said I covered him a little bit last year for the caller times. I really liked his game. He’s been good the last few seasons overall with the Province Bruins and I think if there’s a third goalie to get who never has really got an opportunity outside of the AHL and in case something does happen to Anderson or Kachchov plus he wouldn’t be a bad option to have barring that Primo does get waiver claimed. If he doesn’t, well then if you’re Cam Abbott, you’re laughing to the bank cuz now you got two really good goalies. You’re 1 A, 1B, and then you’re like your third, possibly one C goalie and CV as well. So if you’re the Wolves, you’re in a pretty good spot if you’re going to have three good goalies or at least two in some instance. So it’ll be very interesting to see how all of that plays out. But overall, not a bad pickup for the Carolina Hurricanes to get busty. It adds more goalie depth to the Hurricanes and it gives the Wolves an opportunity to maybe have one, two really good goalies or possibly three goalies if everyone goes through waiverss without getting claim. So it’ll be very interesting to see how that plays out. Now the new season of Face Off inside the AHL came out. Of course, there’s an episode about Seth Jarvis. Really good episode. I really enjoyed it. So we’re going to talk about it. So stick around as we’re going to give my reaction to the episode here in a second on a Monday edition of Locked on Hurricanes. All right, so the new season of Face Off inside the NHL came out on Prime Video last week. Um, personally, I’ve only seen the first episode and the fifth episode of the series, but I’m a sucker for hockey docu series, documentaries, movies, what what have you. So, you knew I was going to watch this. But it also helps too that you have Seth Jarvis as part of season two and he was the fifth episode. So that’s the first that’s the first episode I watched. Watch the other ones later, but automatically skip to episode five because it’s Seth Jarvis. The Hurricanes are going to get on the national stage in some in some instance. So it’s great to see. And already right from the rip, you could tell how much he loves Raleigh in this team. And the fact he said, “I will drive to the ends of the earth to bring a cup to this city.” That says a lot for a guy who’s entering the second year of his eight-year contract that he signed the previous summer. And it shows how much the fact that the fan base really loves Seth Jarvis and how he like he wants to get better every year. And it’s good. You see Kadan, his brother on there as well. Even his mom makes an appearance. His dad makes an appearance as well. He’s back in Winnipeg. They show him at Foreign Nations and how, you know, they, you know, bring up the fact that he was one of the last cuts out of his World Junior team just a few seasons before and now he goes and gets the opportunity to be one of the 23 best Canadians to make the Foreign Nations team. And it’s funny, too, when during the episode like they show a life-size Sydney Crosby poster on his front door and he’s like, “Oh, I don’t want anyone to see that. It’s it’s the guy I play like four times a year. And the funny thing is, who’s he sitting next to in the locker room? Sydney Crosby. And you have to see some interaction with those two guys. You see him interacting with Mitch, you know, uh, Marian, stuff like that. And you kind of get, you know, the ups and downs, you know, first practice of Four Nations, then going through the whole thing of, you know, the Canada USA rivalry. Then you see him win the gold. And then of course he’s runs into his buddies that drove all the way from Winnipeg to Boston for the final cuz their flights got delayed. It’s funny too the fact that he’s like yeah all the guys want to meet you are like wait what guys? Like all the guys from the Canada team because of the of the story of them driving all the way from Winnipeg to see them play the championship game and of course to see their buddy Seth. So that was really cool to see as well. Then, you know, talking about, you know, how he has to deal through the mental health that he goes through, which is it it’s very it’s a big moment and I think it’s, you know, you got to be proud of him for the fact that he would share something like that because that’s that’s a big thing to share that hey, I’m a professional athlete, but I deal with, you know, mental health. him deal with some struggles of, you know, self-deprecation, you know, self-doubt, you know, being super hard on yourself. And I think that it’s it’s very courageous and it’s something to, you know, appreciate of that Seth would be willing to open up like that and show the other side of himself. A guy can be goofy and stuff, but, you know, he’s a very strong competitor, but he’s really hard on himself. And you kind of see him through the episode and even his brother Kaden brings up too like how he going through four nations kind of gave him an extra boost of no, you do belong here. Like you are a really good hockey player. Like you are someone who’s going to help drive the Hurricanes. And he says outside of winning a cup, he’s like I want to be like he’s like as goofy as I am, I want to go down as one of the best Carolina Hurricanes players to play the game. The fact that he’s doing this at the same time as Sebastian Au who already holds a lot of Hurricanes records, that says a lot for the fact that he’s only like, you know, I think he’s like four, he’s like four or five years younger than than Aaho. And he’s like, I’m and you can see it’s like, yeah, AO is setting these records now, but he wants to go and be that guy. He wants to put himself on the Mount Rushmore of the Hurricanes. He wants to be that guy holding records. And the fact of how good he is already, we’re we’re talking about going into his fifth season. Already top 30 in points for the Carolina Hurricanes says a lot. Back-to-back 30 goal seasons, back-to back 67 point seasons. You know, I have a feeling he could get 75 or 80 this year if he, you know, sticks with the top line of Aahoers the whole time and power play one and all. I think I think Seth Drivers can be that. Then of course they show him and Jes coin at the golf course during the trade deadline hearing about Miko Ranchy being traded and I like how Jperry goes is that our fault and then Seth is like probably mind if I scored that goal last time maybe still a Carolina hurricane and of course you it’s just them being goofy and be like h maybe it’s our fault but then of course they go through the whole ma rantin thing which you know I know a lot of Hurricanes fans are going to be like oh well then you really go then he’s going to use the well they like I my main focus was in Colorado. Don’t really want inside Carolina. You know, I didn’t think the hurricane style fit really well. Like I like Dallas’s. It’s their system is almost the same. It’s just it’s one of those things. So, it’s kind of like h okay to make a rant and thing got a little bit more deeper. But overall, I thought it was a great episode with Seth. You got to see him back in Winnipeg with Kane and his family. You got to see him in Raleigh. You got to see him at the at Foreign Nations with Team Canada. You know, seeing his buddies there as well. And overall, I think it was a great episode. I wish they would I wish they showed the Hurricanes winning their Eastern Conference final game because they showed game three, game five, and the last like five minutes of the episode was just bang bang, g lost in three, loss in five. You see the guys afterwards and you see him back in Winnipeg and all that, you know, a month later. I wish they like I said I wish they showed a little bit more of the Hurricanes wins but overall I think the fact that you got to see you know the fact that this is a trying to be like trying to be good enough and I think Seth is a really good hockey player and I think too it’s just you know mental health is it’s a struggle for everyone and you know in different aspects the fact that you can you kind of saw him try to through that episode build his confidence being like you know he’s super hard on himself but he has to be like well I got to give myself grace because you It’s one of those things where it’s you got to give you got to give grace onto yourself and not beat yourself up so much and you know know that like you know you’re here for a reason. You got a contract for a reason. That’s why you’re viewed really highly with the Hurricanes. So and you’re viewed as one of the guys that helped take this team to the next level. So it’s going to be very exciting to see how this season goes for Seth Jarvis. I’m glad that he got the attention that deserves because he’s a really huge personality that the NHL should lean on. And it’s good that the Hurricanes finally got some recognition outside of Raleigh for what this team is about. Of course, you saw the locker room with Rod and everyone else. You saw some people talk about the team and you got to hear from Kane and his brother and stuff like that, too. And it was a great episode. If you haven’t seen yet, I highly recommend on a prime video. Season two uh face off inside the NHL for season one was great, too. But it was awesome to see, you know, Seth and the Hurricanes in season two at least. And it’s, you know, like I said, I’m a sucker for good hockey docu series and documentaries and stuff. So, this one is a definite watch. If there if there is an instance to skip episodes, this is the season to do it. Go to season go to episode five first with Seth, then start from episode one and go through the rest. But yeah, usually usually I start at one, but this is a perfect instance of skipping five and then finishing the rest. But overall, great episode. I can’t wait to see what’s next. But there’s a lot to be excited about though, however, for this season as we’re only a couple days away from the home opener and the start of the 2526 season for the Hurricanes. And we’re not too far away from the Chicago Wolves as well as they are on the quest to make a second consecutive CER cup playoffs under Cam Abbott. We’re finally in regular season game week as the Carolina Hurricanes begin the season on Thursday against New Jersey. Also, the Chicago Wolves start their season not too long after in Iowa. What should fans keep an eye on as the Wolves begin their second season under Cam Abbott? On the Monday Edition of Locked On Hurricanes, host Zach Martin starts the show by having On Tap Sports’ Wolves beat writer Andrew Rinaldi on to preview the season for Chicago. How do the guys feel about the team going into Year 2 with Abbott? The guys discuss the forwards, defense, and goaltending. Additionally, Andrew shares his thoughts on who fans should watch this season. Secondly, Zach dives into the Hurricanes, claiming goaltender Brandon Bussi off of waivers from the Florida Panthers. What could he bring to the team, and why did the Hurricanes claim him off waivers? Finally, Zach finishes the show by sharing his thoughts on the Seth Jarvis episode of season 2 of Faceoff: Inside the NHL. What did Zach think of the episode and Jarvis as he showed the other side of himself off the ice? Jarvis goes beyond his fun, goofy persona to show how he deals with mental health and more. All of that, and more, on the latest episode of Locked On Hurricanes.
