Watching how well he seems to be reading the defense and making confident plays with his legs really shows he’s made a big step up this year. There’s still a bit to go in decision making and not misplacing some easy throws, but this is still a major improvement.
Watching him play last year, clearly not confident, jumpy, and fearing every defense, I was worried he might develop some long term bad habits. Credit to the new coaching staff for making sure that didn’t happen. But you also need to praise in the mental fortitude of Trevor. This guy survived the Urban Meyer era and the Press Taylor era, and still came out the other side clean. It’s been clear since the playoff win against the Chargers that Trevor has the mental game of a champion. Once he cleans up the small miscues and settles into this new system, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
