I actually like this tough love approach.
It reminded me of the Whiteside era, when all he cared about were his stats and 2K ratings, then he lost his starting job to Bam, who was actually impacting the game more.
He’s right. Ware’s energy and focus just isn’t there for the bulk of the game

I love that Spo is being very honest and blunt about Ware’s issues. When I was criticizing Ware during the summer league (before Spo did), there were fans calling me an idiot. Then when Spo said what he said during summer league, there were still some fans (u/MiamiSportsGuru ) who wanted to claim that we were misinterpreting Spo’s comments.
But now, when Spo is THIS blatantly critical (and that quote from Brady doesn’t even show everything, Spo really emphasized how much Ware’s stats were inconsequential bc he barely impacted the game), the Ware stans have nothing left to say.
I get it but cmon, how you gonna impact winning with Keshad and G leaguers fumbling the ball. He carried that lineup
I agree with Spo, but I wish he would stop airing these out publicly and handle it internally because if we do want to flip him for an above average player, you can’t be tanking his value like this.

W tho with Spo getting on Ware, would like to see aggressive Ware pre season or not. Also it ain’t really Ware’s fault he’s playing with 3rd and 4th stringers, who can’t get him involved or know how to playmake well. Defense tho is on him, there was a few possessions he got scored on cuz he didn’t put any effort.
Game 1 VS Magic, he did a great job against Goga. So maybe Ware only wants to go off VS important big man or big man relevant to him. When in reality if he always went off, and tryhard he’ll have more that mindset instead of ohh it’s just pre season or ohhh why try I’m playing against bums.
