He should’ve re-signed for $20 million instead of 12,500,000 he could’ve made way more money but he was humbled so I took the 12.5 million which is still quite a bit of money but 20 it would’ve been insane. The best hockey player in the world only asked for 12.5 million guys are lucky and Edmonton you get to keep him for another two more years please when Canada and if not when Canada Stanley Cup please win a Stanley Cup the Edmonton Oilers it would be a dream come true to see Canada.   10. Going to laugh my ass off when the Oilers trade him. This is a trade friendly contract, allowing the Oilers to move him and get a big bag of assets for him. Nobody could afford to pick him up on an expiring contract, knowing they've had to give up assets and a massive chunk of their cap to resign him. Now teams can get him for three years at a discount before having to fork over the cash.
