This is nuts. The Tampa Bay Lightning were fined. John Cooper was fined and two players were suspended from that wild preseason game against the Florida Panthers. Let’s talk about it. The Tampa Bay Lightning got fined $100,000 and John Cooper got fined $25,000 for quote their actions culminating in the events of the wild preseason game against the Florida Panthers. On top of that, Scott Surn has been suspended four games for rough and airblad and JJ Moser has been suspended two games for boarding yper boquist. This game has led to a bunch of controversy online, specifically around Carter Bhggy not receiving a fine or suspended for boarding during the game and I think it is kind of valid. It was a really bad hit that he laid and this whole game was just crazy in general. It pretty much did not look like a hockey game. It was pretty much just a go at Adamfest. It is nothing but insane that one preseason game landed $125,000 in fines and six games worth of players being suspended. Like that is crazy for a regular season game, let alone a preseason game. But I completely understand it from the NHL’s point of view. You don’t want this happening constantly. It’s not good for player health and it just leads to more issues. So, I can completely understand them putting harsh punishments down. And I also get fans also being upset that the Ford Panthers didn’t get anything for all the role in that,
