GET UP | Ja’Marr Chase has had ENOUGH – D. Foxworth: Bengals must trade QB like Sheduer or Jameis

those Bengals on Monday Night Football, the Cincinnati Bengals. But here’s some of this frustration that I’m talking about. This is on a third and 20 for Cincinnati. They dump it down to Jamar Chase. The Cincinnati Bengals last night at 159 yards of total, not rolling anywhere and hasn’t rolled anywhere in a very long time. Routing Downing and there’s Jamar Chase frustrated and feeling total touchdowns on the night. So, it’s, you know, a Charles Dickens game. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. The Broncos look good. The Bengals were worried about Jamar Chase on social media after the game posted this with a bunch of laughing emojis. Man, y’all better leave me alone. And then followed it with, I play with passion. I I think that when when teams suffer, and I and I said this earlier today, nothing that happens on a football field within the context of a game is a is truly a catastrophic event. But we understand what we’re talking about. The worst thing that can happen to the Cincinnati Bengals happened. They lost Joe Burrow essentially for the season. two weeks in and at that point holding it together for the rest of the year really becomes a challenge. You got guys who were thinking championship and all that and you see particularly in the receivers the frustration. There are teams that have really great quarterbacks that are constructed in a way that you expect them to survive a little bit without their starting quarterback. This ain’t one of them. Like Joe Barl is expected to compensate for some of the bad protection. He’s expected to buy time to create big plays for those receivers. and their defense is better than it was last year, but it’s still not a great defense. This is not a team that’s expected to compensate when they’re when they lose their star quarterback. You see the number on the screen, minus 63 in those two games. I’ll give you the actual numbers in the two games without Joe Burrow. They’ve been out 76 to 13. It shouldn’t be that way. We can make excuses for it, but you know, they were in the Super Bowl with this coach not too long ago, right? And they they lose their quarterback. They changed the defensive coordinator. They’re supposed to play better defensively with a new defensive coordinator. Uh they did. They haven’t done that. They have to learn to compensate for the loss of Joe Burrow and play complimentary football, which they haven’t done. It it does look like they’ve just sort of let it destroy them, right? I mean, and maybe that would do it to most teams. When you build your team and you pay the receivers a lot of money, you now don’t have a quarterback to get those receivers the ball. you. This isn’t a team that was built up on the back of Chase Brown running the ball for them 20 times a game. So now when you look at this team without Joe Burrow, it was meant for him to be an eraser of some of the limitations on the defensive side of the ball. So now you insert Jake Browning, we can’t expect this defense to go out there and only allow an offense to put up three points or 10 points. They’re not going to be able to win the way they’re constructed. And that’s just the truth of the matter. Okay, but you’re on the road against the Broncos. Your defense is not holding up against Bo Knicks. Chase Brown has 10 carries in the football game. How is that possible? Zack Taylor’s got to figure that out early on in the game so that by the second half you’re not completely blown out. I think they’re great. They’re a little they’re caught flatfooted because they expected the offense to be better like with Jake Browning because it was two years ago when Joe Burrow got hurt. He at least showed an ability to distribute the ball to these monsters they have on the outside that can catch it. So that hasn’t happened. Minnesota, Denver, tough defenses. Maybe that changes going forward. But right now, yeah, that your season in the NFL, as you guys well know, is determined almost all the time by how well you handle the bad things that inevitably happen to you. This is Joe Bur. Losing Joe Burrow is a terrible thing that happened to the Bengals. But they were two and0 when it happened. They told everybody who would listen, Jake Browning is somebody they believe in. They’ve built up. They have one of the best backup quarterback situations in the league. They got to find a way to make it look like that. They get the Lions and the Packers the next two weeks before they then play a Thursday night game against the Steelers. I I think the real question is do they at some point here trade away Trey Hendrickson? Yeah, I mean I think we’ll find out. I actually think that despite the fact that the Lions and Packers are really good teams, I think that these are better matchups for them offensively, they stand a better chance in these games than they did in those previous two games based on the matchups that they’ll have. Very quickly quick, who wants to guess the spread? Lions at the Bengals this coming Sunday. Who wants the guess? S wants it. Six. 10 and a half. Oh, wow. 10 and a half. Vegas sees what we see. The Bengals unfortunately are done. Coming up. Are the Titans ruining their young quote? What What’s he trying to say there? I mean that he plays with passion and he’s still part of the team like the hay like he’s still committed. I think you see this is social media in general. It’s like you get access to a lot of voices that you probably don’t need access to. So he’s probably responding to people who he should not be caring what they’re what they have to say. Like there’s nothing specific. Yeah. There’s nothing specific that he was reacting to. So like I don’t make too much of it, but it feels pretty unstable there right now. Here’s the thing. I I I use this word advisedly. Let me be as clear as I can that nothing that happens in a football game almost with with almost no exception is an actual catastrophic event. But within football perspective, when you lose your franchise quarterback, one of those guys that literally everything is built around for the season in week two, that’s a catastrophic traffic event. And that’s what you were seeing in Cincinnati now. And the fallout of it is going to be fascinating. Their season is quite obviously over as far as anything they were hoping to accomplish realistically. Now the question is how do they keep it together? Well, the bottom line is it’s two things, right? It’s about the Bengals. It’s also about the division within a division. What’s the fallout right for the Bengals? You know, you when you lose your starting quarterback, things shouldn’t completely fall apart. You should have a plan, right? You’re in week two now of this and you shouldn’t get waxed on Monday Night Football. I mean, the Broncos are good. We understand that that their defense gets after the quarterback. We got all that. We get it. But you shouldn’t be completely falling apart. But the other thing is the beneficiaries here, Pittsburgh Steelers. Yes. Baltimore Ravens. It gives the Steelers the drivers seat in the division. It gives the Baltimore Ravens hope that they can figure out a way to get back into the playoff picture. To me, I look at all of it and as we’re watching Jamar Chase and T. Higgins, like that’s just what we live in right now. The quarterback’s not out there. We’re going to show the wide receivers who are doing nothing in the game as much as possible. And the hard part about this, when I played in the league, people would always ask you all the time, who’s the best wide receiver you had to cover. It didn’t matter because it depended upon who the quarterback was. I know they love Jake Browning, but the truth of the matter is this team all falls on the back of Joe Burrow and he’s not going to be there. I think they felt like they could plug in Jake Browning like they did when Burrow got hurt two years ago and and have a representative offense and and you know he’s been with their program when we talked about oh would they trade for Kirk Cousins or somebody else like no Browning is the guy that they believe in. There were I believe there were four players that had more yards from scrimmage this weekend than the Bengals had last night like that. I’m not kidding. like Ashton Genty and and uh Bejan Robinson. But I mean they they have to reassess whatever their plan was. Whether that means looking outside for for a quarterback option, whether it means significant scheme changes that are designed to just not try and take Joe Burrow’s offense and and install Jake Browning to run it. I I think there’s obviously whatever the plan was, they’re two and two. They’re not mathematically dead, but they have to change. I didn’t expect to have to try to be the ray of sunshine for both of these teams this morning, but to be fair to be fair, the Vikings and the Broncos are the teams that Jake Browning went up against. And those are two of the like the Vikings defense is almost impossible for real starting quarterbacks to decipher. And the Broncos play tight man coverage like Riley Moss was insane last night in his coverage on T. Higgins. They and also like Patrick Certain. This is a real tough situation for a guy like Jake Browning where I think Burrow in that situation, his athleticism, his ability to extend plays against man cover, make something happen. Yeah. Pocket another half second. But the problem is they got Detroit this week and Green Bay next week. Like it’s not going to get a lot easier. Yeah. I mean, I think that those teams are not worse, but those defenses are different. Like Detroit plays a lot of tight man coverage and aggressive also, but they don’t have the level of corners that you would see in um Denver. I hear what you’re saying. The two games that they’ve played without Burough, they lost by a combined total of 76-13. Yeah, it’s not great. So, and there goes your cloud. Bring the clouds in. Bring the clouds in. All of a sudden, it’s pouring rain in Cincinnati. We’ll see what happens. All right. the mayor of Philadelphia.

  1. Who is the grey haired guy? He doesn't know what he's talking about. So many of these guys are clueless. The Bengals will NOT recover with Jake Browning. The Bengals defense sucks and they have to put up a lot of points to have a chance of winning. That's how it's been. So they need a better QB.

  2. Sorry but Tom Frickin" Brady in his prime would get crushed behind the Bengals O line and that weak a** vanilla offense that D(Opie) runs. This has been a downhill slide for 2 years. First the defense and now the offense. Burrow, Chase and even Higgins have HOF talent but this year and beyond their legacy will be tarnished the longer they play for this a** clown coach. The fans know it. The players know it. Zac oblivious and the management doesnt care. The management deserves an empty stadium and dwindling merch sales. Zac deserves his walking papers.

  3. can't score any points
can't stop any points from being scored
stupid decisions on the off season
    all in financially on offense
    no defense …okeee lol

  4. jamarr chase got paid so sick of hearing about jamarr having enough. When you pay really big salaries for 4 players on the team that is what happens and making jamarr a victim is weak.

  5. Hell at this point we need Uno, Ocho, call the Po Po ๐Ÿ˜‚ jk. But Id say trade Trey and Tee get some young hitters to block and rush the QB and we can build from there, Oh and fire ZACK
