It’s a long season. Chiefs starting off slow isn’t new as of late. We will be in the mix at playoff time, let’s just STAY HEALTHY and Navigate what looks to be a wild season.
So we all know the STs was a dumpster fire yesterday but can we talk about one of those plays that’s really stupid?
I saw this video and it hits on something I thought last night.

So you mean to tell me the 2nd return guy without the ball cannot block anybody if they’re engaged at all? That’s then a “double-team block” and that’s illegal?
That’s crazy. How is this not called on basically every return? You might as well tell that guy just plan on not really blocking anybody.
That’s a terrible rule.
The coaching staff is way too loyal to players that shouldn’t be playing. Why is spags still trotting Chamarri Conner out there? He makes a crucial mistake every single game. QBs should target him every pass. It’s maddening.
Also Thornton is Pat’s 1st or 2nd most trusted receiver at this point, yet last night he only got 29 snaps? I just don’t understand.
These guys are trying to play 4D chess with themselves, when the obvious decisions are right in front of them.
A small part of our fanbase would help themselves a lot by going outside, taking a deep breath, and remembering that this is just entertainment that they have no control over. KC losing to a solid Jags squad on the road shouldn’t affect your mental health to that degree.
Goin to other subreddits to complain that we shouldn’t have resigned Chris Jones and calling him washed to garner favor with other Redditors is so wack it was embarrassing to see a chief fan do that
The fact the nfl reddit is full with people bashing the chiefs, celebrating the Ls etc etc kind of shows again how massive the franchise is. Gotta be elite to have that many haters.. but on a real note i still think with rice coming back there is still a decent shot at playoffs. Lets see who will have the last laugh
Nohl Williams played 4 snaps on defense last night. FOUR. How could any coach justify that? He showed SO much promise the first 4 weeks, was on an upwards trajectory to continue getting more snaps, and our DBs got embarrassed on multiple occasions last night.
was literally the highest graded cornerback in the league, sample size be damned. What the fuck was Spags doing? I’m dumbfounded. Why do we even draft these guys if you’re going to stow them on the bench in favor of guys routinely fucking up
They need to make Chris Jones touch every single step in Arrowhead. Dude needs to pull his head out of his ass and start giving a shit.
We lost that game more than the Jags won but they’re calling this one of their biggest wins in franchise history so ima let em have it if a regular season game means that much to em
Butker needs to be released. And like most of us Jones needs to care again. Every play he is just dogging it out there
I think we played some pretty bone headed football but I can’t seem to really work myself to be too concerned.
Like obviously the 1 seed is already slipping away, but even at the doomiest I don’t really think anyone expects us to actually miss the playoffs. The Jags and colts both need to be taken seriously. The Bills have a cakewalk schedule. But none of the AFC teams scream juggernaut.
Chargers look lifeless though the Broncos earned some respect with their win this week. The division is still very wide open.
I think the talent is there even with flaws. And obviously this offense has another gear with Rashee returning.
What I really think is happening is just us being on the other side of a lot of the football that happened last year. Teams did some dumb things in close games and we capitalized. This year, we’ve done some dumb things in close games that we would have won last year, but instead the coin just landed the other way.
Just setting us up for the 7th seed Chiefs winning the superbowl
So i didn’t see a full breakdown of the Pick 6 until this morning.

I knew someone missed a tackle right after the pick. I didn’t realize it was Pat. Whew man Pat…. That was one terrible half assed effort. He’s amazing and does just about everything perfect but this one was just isn’t it. Two bad moves during this one play.
Granted you don’t expect it to go 99 yards but it was his mistake and then to just fall down in front of him hoping he runs into him and fall over. Could have been 1st & 10 from about Jacksonville’s 13 or so. Instead it’s a TD.
Also would have been nice if Thornton could have attempted a tackle Can we poke with the left while tackling? But he tried a poke out with his right hand and it was a score. The way things were going last night maybe they score anyways but you never know.
Just a backbreaking play.
PS – I expect this to get downvoted because it says something bad about Pat and I get it. We love him. But if we’re being real, it was just a bad play on multiple factors. Have to be honest and call it like it is.
Not the end of the world. But if we don’t pull our collective heads out of our asses it may soon be.
Most frustrating loss in quite some time.
I understand waking up disappointed, but if you’re waking up still angry, go for a walk or something…
Your toxic meltdowns are making the other fan bases feel too good.
Can we possibly have a subreddit sticky from the mods calling for a boycott or ban of r/nfl? I’ve followed football on this site for a long, long time. I have never, in my life, seen a fanbase downvoted and harassed like Chiefs flairs in that subreddit. The vitriol their mods let users get away with as long as it’s aimed at Chiefs fans is unbelievable.
Last night was one of the worst I’ve ever seen, and it was a regular season game where KC was penalized at an absurd rate. Feels like this sub probably needs to take a stance on how our fans are being treated there.
Maybe this sub can have a thread for general NFL discussion and news so users can avoid r/nfl entirely?
I think we will be fine offense was extremely efficient 1st in SR this weak against a good defense defense needs to lock in and clean up all the stupid penalties and if we do that we’ll be fine
The Jags tried SO HARD to lose that game, and we just couldn’t let them do it.
There wasn’t much about that game that wasn’t fixable, which makes the game feel worse, but I feel better about the season
It’s going to look ugly, but we’ll have to win the division. But I think that’s very doable even if the Chiefs lose to the Lions.
There’s a very real possibility that we just suck
My overreaction: I think we finish 11-6 playing for a wildcard spot to get in the playoffs.
My down to earth opinion: we’ll probably find a way to get to 13-4 and be good
I have 0 knowledge of football. But how the fuck did we look like 2 different teams in the first half and then the second half? I genuinely don’t understand
Anyone else ready to not play a game in prime time? I miss noon kickoffs.
Pass rusher is starting to feel like the search for a LT for this team.
So many picks & time wasted looking for a LT. Then we finally find one out of luck and hitting on a guy who was really a top 10 talent.
Feels like a pass rusher is falling along the same lines. Chris should be producing more with his contract but outside of him, is there any up & coming pass rusher who is impressive on this roster?
George I’d call a nice / solid quality starting DE but that’s even playing next to a DT who is perceived as one of the best in the league facing double teams so theoretically George’s job should be easier.
Just another example where drafting at the end of round 1 is starting to really rear it’s ugly head. Top Tackles usually go early. Top pass rushers usually go early. Where the Chiefs are, they’re counting on hitting on some unknown.
