Seeing Wemby move more freely on both sides of the floor because he has Kornet as his running mate manning the paint is such a joy to watch and I kinda want it to be something that will be played regularly by the Spurs.

I'm starting to buy in the Twin Towers agenda and Luke Kornet is going to be a regular starter this season.

It was fun don’t get me wrong, but we need a bigger sample size against actual NBA teams to see what spacing looks like.
Also would have to balance their minutes together because we essentially have no real bigs after those two. So if they play heavy minutes together it could mean they are both off the court together too.
kornet is going to be a revelation for the spurs. the fact we can have a double big lineup and kornet can take the psychically off wemby is a game changer for the spurs. plus wemby can get proper rest off the floor.
As much as I like the idea of them sharing some minutes… the lions share should be Luke resting wemby. We all know how the zollins minutes went as soon as wemby left the floor. Not hemorrhaging points for 15 minutes every night is worth 10 more wins minimum imo.
Need to see how it plays against a larger defense. But I don’t hate the idea, and Luke is clearly a killer inside.
I’d imagine it’s between Barnes for shooting or Sochan to have an actual pf in the lineup
He’ll definitely get more than 13 min or whatever when Wemby is on the bench though
Eh, it’s in the team’s best interest to stagger their minutes. Outside of Wemby and Kornet, the team has no viable rotation players over 6’8”
I doubt that Kornet starts. As quick and versatile as Wemby is, a lot of modern 4s are small forward size and pretty quick. This is good for spot minutes.
Starter? No. But Wemby plays sort of short rotations and I do expect the spurs to stagger him back in with kornet staying out there. Especially against bigger teams
My initial thought was a lot of that High-Low action looked like what the Spurs were doing last December between Sochan and Vic: [https://www.reddit.com/r/NBASpurs/comments/1nus0aw/victor_wembanyama_assists_to_jeremy_sochan/](https://www.reddit.com/r/NBASpurs/comments/1nus0aw/victor_wembanyama_assists_to_jeremy_sochan/)
I am very happy to have Kornet, and I hope that him and Wemby do share the court, especially against two big lineups or when they can exploit mismatches; but I don’t think what we saw last night was really revolutionary.
Does that mean that Kornet shouldn’t start? I dunno. I don’t love the idea of Barnes as the PF, and I don’t love the idea of Castle and Sochan both starting. So I guess we need more evidence.
Wemby is about to mess around average a triple double this year
Pick n roll with 2 bigs should be illegal
Yeah when I saw Kornet playing for Boston, I thought they were for sure going to resign him… but I’m glad that we somehow got him. I’ve been only partially joking that we are going to win the championship this year because of him.
But I think he is going to be more of a Manu 6th man.
There is something very minimal about this play that I love so much and it’s Kornet never putting the ball down, keeping it high so the ball is protected and he can dunk it faster.
Being at the game last night this was my favorite take away. Can’t wait to see regular season games with them both on the floor.
Been telling y’all. Check my posts. They have needed another 7 footer to make this work. Playoffs this year.
Let’s not do this. Kornet needs to be in the second unit or they’ll get killed inside. They could however finish games.
Fox at the 1 of course, castle 2, sochan 3, kornet 4, wemby 5. The paint is locked
