Alright, the Arizona Fall League is underway…but for us Giants fans, there’s not much to talk about, as only one Giant played in the first game as Scottsdale fell in a loss. But there’s a lot of top prospects playing in this league, including Scottsdale having the #2 prospect in all of baseball (by MLB Pipeline’s regard).
Scottsdale: Peoria 4, Scottsdale 3
Giants Prospects to Spotlight:
- 1B Parks Harber: 0-4, 1 RBI, 2 K – The only Giant to play in the debut game of the AFL, Harber was over at first for the first time since joining the Giants (He has played there before, with 14 games this season in the Yankees system there and 21 at first in 2024). But, not much else to say here.
Other Scottsdale Prospect Lines:
- SS Kevin McGonigle (MLB #2; DET #1): 0-4, 1 BB, 2 K – McGonigle, the #2 overall prospect, is the top (Pipeline) ranked prospect since #1 Vladimir Guerrero Jr played in 2018, also for Scottsdale.
- 3B Max Anderson (DET #9): 1-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 E (1)
- C Walter Janek (HOU #4): 3-4, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 2B (1)
- DH Seaver King (WAS #7): 1-4, 1 RBI, 1 SB (1)
- RF Ethan Petry (WAS #8): 0-4, 2 K
- SP Jake Bennett (WAS #10): 4.0 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 HR
- RP Sean Paul Linan (WAS #14): 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 3 K
Peoria Notable Prospect Lines:
- CF Enrique Bradfield Jr. (BAL #4): 0-2, 1 R, 3 BB
- 2B Leo Balcazar (CIN #23): 1-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K
- LF Jonny Farmelo (MLB #75; SEA #7): 0-2, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K

Love that you’re keeping it up and adding notable names from other clubs! Not that I’m likely to remember their names, but still cool.
