MNF REACTION ๐Ÿ”ฅ Is this the BEGINNING OF SOMETHING SPECIAL for the Jacksonville Jaguars? ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ | Get Up

in Jacksonville. The Chiefs, the big boys of the AFC against the Jaguars. The measuring stick night for Trevor and company. Pick it up. Third quarter. Jaguars down 14-7. First and 10 in their own territory. Trevor is back. And Travis got to be down there someplace. Oh yeah, he put it up there. And we saw Travis Hunter last step up and become a big time player and make multiple explosive plays for received it. Oh boy. With four yards. And then later in the drive, Trevor Lawrence showing he can do things in the red area. Travers Travis fired up. He had three catches of 64 yds. But here comes Lawrence. He’s going to take off and go. His first rushing touchdown of the season. Spoiler alert, it wouldn’t be his last. Jaguars tied at 14 now. Two and a half remaining in the third quarter. Second and goal. Chiefs play the game. Unreal. Drops back in the way. Takes it. Taking it back. 99, baby. Look at the wheels. First of all, whoever’s beck he is flying, but Deon Lloyd is going to go nice on the pick six. Incredibly, Lloyd has four interceptions in his last four games. Jaguars a seven-point lead. Fourth quarter, second and seven. Travis, where is this going? There’s a flag or there should be a flag on the play. Take another look at this one, J. Clearly, there should be a penalty. I mean, if you can just take a receiver out to intercept the ball, me and me might still be out there left. Definitating. What a shot. What a shot. Let’s not go that far. Not called. So now we got first and goal. We got Kareem Hunt. We got ourselves a tie game at 21. Two minutes in the fourth. Chiefs down by three. But Holmes, he would throw for 318 yards. How about this strike to Hollywood Brown? Oh, he great to tap. Get possession that thing. Incredible throw, but the catch even better. And so later in the drive, it’s Hunt finding the end zone again. Jeff power football. Look at this. You think? Hey, nail in the coffin. Everybody’s celebrating. Everybody said, “But wait.” But wait, Harrison Butter kicks it out of bounds. So Jacksonville has the ball at the 40. Now they got a third and seven. It’s Lawrence. It’s Brian Thomas. What a throw. Wow. 43 yds and they’re in business. Best throw of the night. Unreal pressure drops that thing in the bucket. That is an unreal throw and catch. A few plays later, I need my two DBs to tell me this is a third and 13. Pass interference in the end zone. Is it a good call? It is a good call. You don’t turn to find the ball. Got to make that call. 10 out of 10. I hate it, but it’s a good call. So, that sets up first and goal at the one. And here it comes. The play you’re going to be seeing all week long and everywhere. Trevor Lawrence. He’s up. He’s down. He’s up. He’s down. He’s up. He’s going. He’s tackled. He’s not. It’s a touchdown. Incredible athlete. Just like we designed it. We baited. This is the bait and switch. Look at this. Oh, somebody step on me. I’m going to fall down. I’m going to I’m going to try Oh. Oh, I’m going to now I’m going to get up. But look, we got a little Look, you see that? Somebody got punished. Yeah. A little pancake action. Look at the body. Oh, just Jaguars win it 3128. They beat the Chiefs for the first time since 2009. Here’s Trevor on the final play. We had a good a good goal line play that we liked off a little play action and um but never got to see it because I was going down as I came out of the center. So I mean just panic honestly because I was trying to get up to get the ball out of my hand so the clock I mean we didn’t have any timeouts so just trying I was really going to just stand up and like launch it out of the back of the end zone. Uh but then I had a little bit of a lane so I took it and you know scored from there on this game and it generally all starts with that play and Jeff sometimes when a team turns a corner if this is going to be the beginning of something special in Jacksonville. We don’t know that it is 4-1 is it’s premature to say that but they’re way better than I think we expected them to be. Sometimes you need a play like that to be the signature of it. This play could be that. Yeah. And resilience right like that that like that that’s how you identify this J. There was nothing pretty about this game. There was a ton of penalties. They had pre- snap, right? Delay of games. You see him getting stepped on. You see the interception you throw all these different and they just keep battling. They keep fighting down 14 points still come back to get this victory. It just shows their thought process. They’re never out of a football game. And so Dan, here they are. I mean, you spent time with them, the Jaguars in this preseason. We were there was a lot of conversation. Oh, they traded that pick. It’s going to be the number one pick in the draft. It’s they’re going to be so bad. all of a sudden not so bad 4 in one and I think you know you have Liam Cohen coming in first time head coach offensive head coach new system so I think you see an offense in Jacksonville that’s a work in progress which I is what they expected it to be Trevor Lawrence still a young quarterback yesterday was his 26th birthday so he’s still a young quarterback he’s learning a new system so are the receivers in the meantime the defense has been incredibly opportunistic they had nine takeaways as a team all of last season and this year they already have 14 so now you’re helping get Trevor Lawrence into more advantageous situations. It helps that the Chiefs kicker kicks it out of bounds so you can start that with that game-winning drive on the 40. But you’re able to take advantage of this and I think you see a quarterback and an offense that is that is going through some growing pains but is winning anyway and you’d see improvement and I think that’s that only bodess well for their future. No question. Now, generally speaking, we come on in the morning here and we react to the things that we saw. I am usually very hesitant to react to the things that are playing on social media because it’s not always that legitimate, but in this case, there’s so many people talking about the effort of Chris Jones on the final play. So, I want you guys to watch this. We will put a spot chat on it. Chris Jones has been one of the best players on this defense forever. Just it speaks for itself. Everyone I have seen on social media has reacted strongly. Jeff, you’ve been a coach. Tell me what is being said when the coaches are watching that. Yeah, not enough. They they’ll talk about this in film, right? As if he if he runs to the sideline, they could pinch him in potentially, but it looked like the the the blitz kind of got screwed up. Like Tranquil comes in front of him, he doesn’t get to the gap, but he stands, he sees him fall down. I don’t know what made him decide not to press it, but you got to come back over the top. Defensive players, you pursue like they they have a a drill called pursuit drill. Every day in practice, they pursue the ball. He did not pursue the ball. And is it all his fault? No. as a as a leader and a captain of that defense, he’s got to be flying to the football. Unfortunately, he doesn’t and they end up winning the game on this play. You can make mistakes, but you can’t be slow. Like, that’s the always been the rule of defense. If you’re going to mess up, mess up fast. Just stand around looking around. Like, I think obviously Chris Jones has enough credibility and has accomplished enough in his career that this won’t become a big issue. I’m sure it’s eating him up as much as it is the coaches and the team. It’s probably something we won’t see again, but normally you get ripped for something like that, standing around on a pivotal play. But obviously was exhausted. No doubt about it. I mean, you go all the way back to PeeWee football, the two things you always say that are not coachable are attitude and effort. And for Chris Jones on that play, when you’re watching his effort, if you’re a defensive player and you’re ever walking on the field, that says it all. I think Jeeoff, you made the main point. He’s a captain. He’s the leader. He’s one of the be very best players on their football team in the league. Yes. Right there. This is this is the play of the game. And Trevor Lawrence falls down. He has the best vision to see it. sprints, he can possibly make that tackle. Just not good. And defensive tackles at the line at at the goal line. That’s where balls pop out. I mean, you think about, you know, Pittsburgh um um beating the Patriots at the goal line, right? Punching the ball out. We see this time and time again, change games that he doesn’t pursue the football. I’m not saying it would or would not have, but you never know because you loaf on the play and that’s really what it’ll be jotted up to. Chris Jones did address this after the game. And again, this is very, very heavy on social media right now, which is why it felt necessary to bring it up here. This was what he said after the game. I thought multiple times we had him. We just got to finish. We got to finish. We had multiple guys there that we just got to finish that play. It was a fluke flute play for him to be able to break that many tackles. Um, but yeah, I I think I put it on us as a defense. We got to finish, you know, we got to bring him down on that. I mean, it’s a team game, so I get what he’s saying. But I think in that moment, I I got to be running. I got to give effort is normally what you want to hear. I don’t think he probably realized when you’re in the moment you’re playing, he probably doesn’t realize his body like Chris, you not moving, right? Like, right. You’re just standing there. So, to your point, Nick, I need to get over there and try to make the tackle. Yes, he breaks two guys free from those guys, but come on. And can I say this? What adds to this is week it was week one against the Chargers, right? And and the defense has a chance to close out the same way the defense had a chance to close out the Jags and Chris goes inside. Herbert breaks contain ends up slides down. They end up winning a game. But it’s it’s they are finding ways to lose as opposed to win. And when you’re talking about your best player, one of the best players in our game and that that that you can circle him on two different scenarios this early in the season does not bode well. So I think that will play into people being upset as well. Yeah, you want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He has literally closed out Super Bowls with impact plays in the back field. Uh and obviously this is a bad look. I mean, is he confused? Did he think the play was over cuz the quarterback was on the ground? Like I I again you think of any possible reason for what he was thinking, but it’s a bad look. And to Jeff’s point, the Chiefs win this game. Like they like we over the past nine years, the Chiefs win this game, right? And uh they did enough wrong. Special teams penalties again, the kickoff out of bounds. Yeah. There’s things that they don’t usually do to lose on the market. Can I speak Can I speak to the the the the plays over? Yeah. It’s never over, right? Like that’s like from a defensive perspective, I can just tell you every defensive coach ever ever you run to the ball until that man is I don’t care. Echo of the whistle is is what you play through. So whether you think he’s done, he’s still running towards the goal line. Everyone else is as well. Maybe he did think that, but no one stops until you are clear of the echo of a whistle. His body language never tells you. That’s right. Even if it was late, it wasn’t even like he was perked up and trying to finish. He’s literally watching the whole thing unfold. It It’s not a great moment. Again, I think we all are saying the same thing over and over. He’s a great player. This is by no means going to be something that changes people’s perspective of him. It’s just not a great play. More right. The Chiefs not only usually win this game. They always win this game. They were 11-0 in one score games last year. They’re now 0 and3 in these this season. And in two of those, Mahomes threw a second half interception at the goal line when trying to take the lead. Now, in the game against the Eagles, which was the first one, and we all saw that play and said Travis Kelce should have caught it. This one looks like he gets fooled or something on the play, Devin Lloyd takes it back. So, these are not the Chiefs that we’re accustomed to seeing. Yeah, you’re talking about that Deon Lloyd play. He definitely fools him on that with what the rush was. Now, you look at this Chiefs offense last night. I think you look at you say, you know what, they’re back. They’re making the plays that we’re accustomed to seeing them make. The rest of the league is catching up. Like we’re watching Trevor Lawrence last night and he’s ascending. He’s taking a step. But when Kareem Hunt cross that goal line, you guys said it like you’re to the point where you’re like, “All right, turn it to you. It’s time to go to sleep.” They always close us out. Spags is going to come out with a blitz. Go ahead. Might a little confession. Let’s have a little confession. May maybe I text my homeboy last night after the Chiefs are up 140 like we get some rest tonight, big dog. Shut it down. Shut it down. To be clear, is that your homeboy? Yeah, that’s He like, “Shut it down. We can get some rest.” So, you texted him at 14 nothing. Just shut it off. This game is over. Hey, get some rest, man. Cuz it’s early morning. It’s early morning. These may not be the same Chiefs, and these are certainly not the same Jaguars. [Music]

  1. Chiefs fans are so funny…..they act like the refs cost them that game…..while the refs gave them 14 points and refused to call any holds on the chiefs oline all game. Chiefs fans are spoiled children

  2. You all are familiar with the concept of a normal probability distribution curve. There is the bulk of their activity and then there are outliers on either side. Of course the win is completely an outlier, and the jags are going to regress back to the mean of being trash. Itโ€™s that simple.

  3. Iโ€™d say the Jags are legitโ€ฆthey beat the Niners on the road and the Chiefs in prime time in eight days. Theyโ€™ve got a pretty decent schedule too.

  4. Every time a team beats a mahomes era chiefs for the first time suddenly they have a new destiny ๐Ÿ˜‚. Happened with chargers week 1 now the media turned on them already.

  5. People are missing out on how GREAT Travis Hunter is playing!

He has at least one remarkable offensive play for the past 3 weeks, and he has played a lot of defense, and no one has been able to pick on him, even when he covered Ja'Marr Chase

  6. Chris Jones' final play made me look back at the rest of the drive to see his effort.

He played hard, and was blown – maybe he's not in shape. Maybe he should've tapped put. His effort was bad on the final play, and it might be because of how hard he was playing.

  7. We cant talk about โ€œthe play never being overโ€ on one hand but then on the other punish players for hits that are a fraction of a second late. Like if Chris Jones ran after Trevor Lawrence on the ground it would be setting himself up for a penalty. I think this play was bad, but just saying generally defensive players these days are in lose-lose positions

  8. Chris Jones could have re-engaged by going around to his right, but he literally gave up on the play when he saw Trevor stumble and it cost them the game.

  9. I'm sorry Chris Jones your a amazing player truly. So you don't to say finish the play in your after game press conference WHEN YOU GAVE UP ON THE LAST PLAY OF THE GAME!! I swear you never give up on any play!!

  10. LAST WEEK AT THIS TIME ALL I HEARD WAS JAXON DART

  11. WHY NOT TALK ๐Ÿฆœ ABOUT THE GREAT ARCH MANNING ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ hahaha ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿšญ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜น hahaha ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ hahaha ๐Ÿคฃ hahaha ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ hahaha ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ hahaha ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ hahaha

  12. So the knee down means nothing?? Trevor was on 1 knee b4 that miraculous touchdown bruh that was supposed 2 be ruled down , they let the jags win because it was Trevor Lawrence's birthday bruh ๐Ÿ˜‚

  13. Put some mf respect on the Jaguars!!!! This is not the same Jaguars team they have a bright future they are just getting started I'm glad the causals are acknowledging the Jaguars give them some dawn respect DUUUUUVAL!!!!๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ† they have won against 3 team's they haven't beaten in a white Houston, San Francisco and last night vs KC!!!!! If that doesn't make you respect the Jaguars than you're just a hater ๐Ÿ’ฏ

  14. @10:23 These dudes is so cap, Man I think Chris Jones is a DAWG. But this is not even close to the first time Iโ€™ve seen him give little to no effort in the 4th quarter of big games. He does that all the time. Iโ€™m sick of it personally.
