PK being told once again to know his role

  1. Yet another example of PK wanting so desperately to find something to be negative about. Like I don’t care if you’re trying to frame yourself as the hard journalist that “asks the tough questions”. If you’re asking an analyst to please find something negative to say about a player, it ain’t a good look.

  2. PK’s whole gimmick since he went independent has been shitting on anything positive about the team. There are plenty of negatives about the team right now, our #1 pick qb isn’t something to focus on as a huge worry at the moment.

  3. Dan Orlovsky is so frustrating because he CLEARLY knows ball WELL.

But then he will double down on the hot take nonsense.

I’d love to see a show of just him and Baldy breaking down stuff. No BS.

  4. If they aren’t baking in easy completions, why not? Why are they insisting on doing things the hard way?

There’s got to be a legitimate reason, but I have no idea what it could be when the offense is struggling in every aspect.

  5. PK is the biggest hater of the team and has been for at least a decade. He constantly looks for things to be contrarian about and presents it in the guise of “well I’m just doing my job”. It’s like the organization has his family at gunpoint and he has to cover the team. You can be critical of the team and their players, personnel, and decision making but you don’t have to try to find the flaws in every single thing you talk about.

  6. PK suggesting he can review tape better than a QB who played in the NFL for 12 years is the most PK thing he’s ever done.

  7. I really don’t think Paul is being negative here. Just seems he would prefer an analysis of both the good and bad. more complete. To be fair I haven’t looked at the tweet chain.

  8. PK is a good journalist and is very necessary. But you can’t let him get to you too much lol

  9. Not sure why this reads to you as PK being told to know his role. 1. PK seems to actually be deferential in his tweet. States he appreciates the look at the good but would like for someone with high football acumen to provide more context on the bad. 2. Orlovsky provides more context, albeit while sidestepping what Paul asked for slightly.

    Not much of an own.

  10. Nah Orlovsky is genuinely an awful analyst and Paul is right that Cam was pretty bad for most of the game. I’m optimistic about him long term but we gotta stop pretending like it’s been all sunshine and roses here. Paul is right in this instance

  11. Paul is right to ask for more breaking down of the stuff that looks bad. I love cam, but there have been plenty of poor throws and miscues from him. I’d love more context on those plays, and I want honest assessments of the whole performance, not just his highs.

PK can be a little too nitpicky at times, but generally asks good, thoughtful questions and holds players/staff accountable. Every team reporter pool needs at least one guy like that.

  12. To know his role? He was asking for more context and Dan gave it, not even close to an antagonistic interaction lol.

  13. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask Orlovsky to be objective in his analysis of Ward.

To see what’s been put on tape and say he’s even better than he thought is pretty bold.

  14. Got to stand up for PK here. This is a legitimate question and Dan’s response is vague. Would love more layup completions in the Titans arsenal, and Dan breaking down why the sack numbers/low completion percentage aren’t necessarily all Cam’s fault would interest me

  15. More like “PK once again asking a good question because he’s good at his job”

  16. I know people like shitting on PK, but folks may not remember once upon a time Orlovsky used to come on the Midday 180 for free just to get broadcast experience with his takes. Parlayed that into being a national guy with ESPN.

  17. Personal favorite rebuff came during maximum pandemic; there was a Jeffrey Simmons tweet *or blurb* in response to Kuharsky’s [nationally picked-up](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/investigation-into-titans-covid-19-outbreak-should-wrap-up-in-october-disciplinary-talks-to-follow/) (*also inaccurate/misleading*) [big scoop](https://www.paulkuharsky.com/news/titans-broke-protocols-gathered-for-a-workout-last-week) about Titans illegally practicing (*they didn’t – the NFL/Titans* [*released the memo*](https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30064231/tennessee-titans-players-held-workout-nashville-school-team-facility-closed) *a day* ***after*** *the demonic rites in question*). I can’t find it anywhere but quoting (*inaccurately*) from memory,

    >Simmons: “We don’t want him anywhere near us. He’s a strange, strange man.”
